At 22:43 CGB should cast Cut Down, because you can save 2 life when the one creature is on the stack. He would have survived and an untapped land wins by casting Gix's Command (the +2/2 counter lifelink mode and the kill every creature with power 2 or less mode).

Bat is not good. It's only good in the right opportunity. I know, I play with Bat everyday. Lol. So many decks have too much redundancy. It's great if I can get the opponents Knight or counterspell, but they'll always draw more if the game doesn't end quickly. Bat is mediocre.

Bat feels like it's far better than you think it is when:
1: You're playing Bo1
2: You play it early, and they draw badly
3: You play it near the end and take their one ace in the hole that would've stopped you.
But it always feels good when you force them to waste removal on the bat and not the stronger and scarier card on the field if you took something important, that wasted turn can really secure the win for you.

@@somethingsomething9006 i'm a bit late to this. but i recently swapped out two early drops for bats and it has made my deck more consistent. even knowing what your opponent has in hand and what you need to keep up for spell pierce or whatever.
most of the time, bats don't take the biggest threats, they steal the removal or take what the next drop would be to mes up their tempo.

I think some percentage of your opponents have "Play red cards" dailies - the way they play.
I cant understand why so many people like to play mono red. Its not fun to beat it because as soon as you play removal or get more value than they do, they scoop, its not fun to get beat by it because its boring gameplay.

Dominaria isn’t rotating, it’s just the two Innistrad sets, Neon Dynasty, and New Capenna.
Grixis crime is hot stuff. I think the only hard thing about it is that there's a preponderance of good 3 drops for it. I have found Kaervek to be completely bonkers for a chain of crimes and graveyard value. Enjoy Europe!
I tried this deck cause it looked really cool, it I went 0-7.
I went against all kind of white-blue, white-black, white-xxx trash control flying nonsense and the deck could not handle it at all...
never got mana screwed, most of the time it curved out nice but the deck' was not good enough for the decks I faced
It looked fun on stream, but I would not craft it (again)

Dope deck! I tried brewing something with Marchesa but didn't have the necessary lands for it. Still felt super powerful though! If you can slow things down and trade off 1 for 1, Marchesa gives you so much fuel.

So what are you doing now with the knowledge and exposure out there that Wizards has Arena rigged with a point system for every card in Arena for its power level and matchmaking against close to same point total decks?

"Rigged"? You mean that there is deck-based matchmaking in the brawl and play queue... which we literally knew since forever? There is still 0 evidence for it being used in ranked.
In unranked stuff who cares. Brawl everyone knew a hell queue existed and people smurfed it this isnt news they just now know the numbers associated with it. Amy amazonian has been saying that new commanders(mh3) seem to have been adjusted

I feel like playing cut down on the first bird before the second one was down would've been a better play knowing they had plenty of options in hand
nice rotation ready deck! I just feel like there's too many blue mana sources considering you only need them for marchesa and she can only enter on turn 3 so you see at least 9 cards before you can actually drop her

Has anyone else built a dealer of death deck and tried it out on ranked ladder? How did it go for you? Been thinking about it but she seems kind of slow. After seeing him destroy mono red scrubs with it though it got me wondering lol.
It was the first thing I tried after OTJ came out. I've played a bunch of variations built around marchesa. But have had middling success

@EggsAreGood55 I feel a lot of it is tempo. It's not too hard to interrupt the decks flow. And when it is interrupted,either by opponent interaction or by simple colour screw, it feels hard to get it back
This is the deck I've been playing for over a month. A little sad it got a shorter video, but glad to see it show up. Don't really love this specific list, I think you're much better off leaning into TJU and legendaries because it's such a strong effect to guarantee instant crime triggers on every creature you play. Means even if they get removed immediately, they still got value.

it's not really that strong, opponents will always have removal for your creatures, and it only sometimes beats the prowess decks and completely folds to the boros convoke deck too
Presently, whenever I see Grixis, I just assume that opponent is a Grenzo heist deck.

@@KodasGarden”opponents will always have removal” is such an abysmal argument, as you saw in this video cgb’s opponents did not always have removal and when they did its not like the deck broke down and didn’t function. Any deck with creatures runs the risk if being hit with removal but that doesn’t mean the deck isnt strong.
@@calebmills6051 sure it sounds like a terrible argument until you realize two things. one, the opponents in this video had horrible draws for their decks, which is honestly so rare it's not even funny. second, this deck with almost this exact build was being featured around the start of OTJ, and yet currently the grixis crime deck makes up a negligible percent of the decks played on ladder. that wouldn't happen if the deck was strong. unfortunately, it relies heavily on top decking most of the time due to the overabundance of control, discard, and creature removal, whereas the other creature decks in the meta don't really have this issue. the problem is that the strong creature decks still win if you go one for one with removal, whereas this one loses due to the lack of card advantage and tricky manabase. the last match was a perfect example of this. cgb had a great hand and played his mana perfectly each turn. he still lost because a meta deck had a good draw. if a deck relies on your opponents drawing poorly, it's not that strong of a deck.
Unfortunately all these not so good decks working only for UA-camrs. All times i tried to copy one not from the top 5 bullshit decks like boros convoke ..domain....and the most boring ever azorius control.....the result was disappointed. I did 1 win in 7 with this one...! So yeah...i beleive 100% that something cheeky is going on with algorithm and the rest of the people ..
