I bought hay from these guys for years, nothing but good things to say about the whole crew. Josh is ok LOL
Travis what type of CB radio do you have, the reception is so crisp and clear?
Thats true. I am not from USA but I could understand every word easily. :D
I know this video is several years old. I live in Vacaville and always pass by them. I run OTR out of Iowa. I ran one of their rivals in the area. Mike's company is still the best company in Northern California. Their trucks are all new. They always have trucks for sale with low miles sitting by their fence line. I'm working on becoming owner op and I'm eyeballing on their equipment. I had buddies of mine that worked for them for years, they never had complaints. I mostly did lowboys in fairfield so I never had the chance to work for them personally. Finally last year we have a local truck show in Dixon. They were out their with their beautiful trucks.
Them Lowrie boys are working fools. And their trucks always look top notch. I remember back when they got their first hay wagons.
I live and Cali, and I pass by one of their yards, I’m not sure if it’s their only one or if there’s more, but it’s by the Dixon area, near the Yolo country area, and they have a tonnnn of trucks, and they are nice
Sweet ride Bro! !!!Great interview. ...
Good interview with an honest man.
why was this guy so worried about the police?
The guy can't be concerned?
+Adam Swindell ik I would be because cops seem to pick out truck drivers more for violations then other motorists
+jonathan saldana Driving that big of truck, fully loaded dual trailers, great time for a distracted driving charge. I'd be worried to at first
Law Enforcement (revenue collectors) make big money off of any perceived violation by a big rig. Broken taillight, etc. Those trucks looks just like an open bank vault to them.

Klamath Falls/ Tulelake to Hay Kingdom in Winters..
Great audio quality on this one.
I haul tomatoes for Lowrie in the summer and I live in the town they deliver the hay to. I wish they'd give me a truck like that for tomatoes that would be sweet.
I remember when mike only had 2 trucks. I was haulin tamaters in a 62 pete 4x4 with a 250 woohoo outta woodland

you wanna see real hay hauling, southern Idaho, triple trailers and gross weight of 120,000
straightpipesrule Mikey jr would run circles around you. nobody faster hauling a load a hay through the mountains. not pissant mountains like in Idaho were talking Nevada California mountains
Pissant idaho (Rocky)mountains? ?? Um... might wanna google them. California mtns have nothing on these rockies
In canada a 4 axle 53' can haul 126 000lbs
583 bales back trailer, come to canada

Matthew McConaughey in disguise....
Very nice interview.
I wonder that only heytrucks have single drive, cause this configuration saves a lot of weight.
Strassenelefant the California hwy trucks are single for weight and California laws don't allow long length on double trailer so single makes it short.
what show were you talking about
el poder un día conoce los Estados Unidos
What's the music at the end?
Yes and more to come
nao entendi nada mas ficou bom
were is this at
nice
This company is famous now, one of their drivers dragged a car and wouldn't stop.
Prisoner416 I was waiting for someone to come here and make a comment like that.
I'm just waiting for more info on it, the facebook for them is down, and now the company web page is down as well. Not the best way to handle PR.
Hey Chris I work for these guy atm and I saw this guy getting fuel in the yard and asked him about his interview experience he said you were a really cool guy and you even bought him some brunch, that's cool I didn't know you did that for drivers.
Prisoner416 what happened?
Prisoner416 has
Why do all those hay trucks out west run single axel?
Wondering the same. Only thing I can think of these 2 short trailers can make a tighter turn at there pick ups or drop offs
only California runs those goofy setups, in wa Id or and mt we run A-trains and B trains and gross 105,500 to 120,000
Less weight of the tractor (Lighter then a tandem tractor)so more pay load plus it's gives you a little better play on the weight see if you go with a single axle tractor and single axle trailers you can get a little more not much, but just a little.
Like this Steer is 10,000 Drivers 20,000 First trailer is 20,000 Dolly is 20,000 Back trailer is 20,000 total 90,000 Lbs, but you can only run 80,000 in all states. Now if you go with a Tandem tractor and trailer you are looking at 10,000 on the Steer, 34,000 on the drivers and 34,000 on the trailer =78,000 Lbs. It takes a some skill on now to load it just right and over time you know just how much Hay to put where on the trailers. In Calf you see more Single axle Belly Dumps then Tandems
because of the weight laws, but I live in NV and we pull Two Tandem Axle Belly Dumps and we can run up to 129,000 Lbs not like we are at that all the time most of the time I am pushing around 135,000. Hope this helps.
jbdixs 12,500 on the steer.
I want to know what he and his boss think about the emission laws out there now
Good question
+BigRig Videos What's the visual requirement to drive a big rig?
+Rooker11111 what do mean... As in passing a test?
BigRig Videos VIsion screening.
Well looking at their company next to i80 every day. I don't think they have any issues with the emissions or even replacing trucks. They do have their own machanics and a huge shop. All of their trucks are new and they look real good.. I considered working for them when I was looking for local work but they were just toon commute to and from on a daily. My uncles long time friend works at mike lowrie and he's been there for like 15 years and has nothing but good things to say about them. They even hire college students during their break for a seasonal gig to help them out. And that says a lot about that company
Come to WY we pull alfalfa on rocky doubles grossing 120+
this driver is really running 55.
great interview
he was afraid of his car why?
why does he always put do not attempt. what if I want to be a trucker???
UA-cam is happier when you put that over a video of machinery/big rigs under operation
