  • I'm just going to do a video consolidating all these releases. Faster and I can get to work on them quicker.
My favorites are the Lagomorph Survivors. Definitely an interesting look wearing all that viscera as decorations.
Dragon Slayer is a nice kit but a bit of an odd pose. I'm always happy to have more hand to hand fighters though. She was pretty simple to put together.
I had a lot of issues with the Lost Princess, to the point I strongly debated contacting the Dark Mediator about her being a misprint. I sucked it up and cleaned all the connection spots and in the end she'll work.
Hopefully the quality of your castings end up better than mine!

You made quick work of those new releases. I may sell of the princess but the rest look like keepers. 👍👍

Hopefully they will release them in plastic. I like the poses for all of them.

2:24 You've lived a surprisingly sheltered life if this is the first set of miniature nipples you've seen. There have been anatomically correct nude and partially nude minis since people started casting them, particularly in historical ranges (mostly for male Picts, Celts, and other "barbarian the way Romans meant the term" types) and with fantasy Amazons. Also been some really squicky harem, slave girl, and dungeon torture sets, plus a few outright porn ranges. The latter were mostly out of Europe (Germany in particular) but Ground Zero Games in the UK has had a "Gentleman's Collectibles" range for thirty years now. Jon's better known for Full Thrust starships and Dirtside/Stargrunt scifi ground combat figs but he's said the GC figs amount to too large a percentage of his sales to quit selling them. Kev White of Hasslefree also does a wide variety of nude sculpts, I think partially because they sell really well and partially because they're a good way to show off his undeniable skill at depicting realistic anatomy. His, ah, "self-portrait" mini may be unique, can't think of another sculptor who's done that.
You'd think the internet would have killed such a niche market but nope, apparently not. I suppose it's no weirder than Roman herms or neolithic fertility icons, but sculptures of tiny naked people are just not my thing.

Oh, I'm far from being sheltered, trust me. I'm quite familiar with most of those lines you've mentioned and grew up attending toy soldier/ vintage toy conventions, and there's been a market for nude figures going back to when I could still count my age in the single digits (which was a few decades ago). I've never seen the attraction but I can't fault others for enjoying it.
This is just the first time I can really remember seeing overt nudity on a Kingdom Death model. For the lack of clothing that's typically worn by the figures in this line, they usually don't cross the line into actual exposure... often. There's been a few over the years but even then they tend to be tastefully covered up.
Then there's the Bone Eaters coming, and those are going to be some interesting ones to paint for sure!
