I miss seeing the #3 and #8 cars out on the track.. They were a big part of my childhood.. RIP Dale Sr

I don’t know why this guy (Jr) can stir up emotions in a 54 yo man like myself. Maybe it’s his good heart, maybe it’s his southern upbringing like myself, but I really miss this kid in NASCAR. I find myself playing on my phone more than watching races since he retired
Gunner 258, I had a dream I was talking to Dale Jr and I was telling him how I missed my father and I began to cry and he put his arm around me, How pathetic am I...LOL
I did cry the day he retired.
I think it’s because of what JR and his father meant/mean to all of us. They’re kind of a part of our lives or we’re for a very long time! Good people, also.

I still get chocked up everytime I see the 01" Pepsi 400 win. I remember watching that race n remember it like it was last night.

Jay Williams my dad got us front row tickets for that night right off turn 4. so Damn emotional for my dad since he was at the 500 also that year. I live in orlando so it's not that far. the 400 was a good race.
There is a piece on here about 6 or 8 minutes long,it's the end of Dale's last win,Talladega fall of 2000.That will choke you up too.
That Budweiser paint scheme is so iconic.
I'm from Dublin IRELAND and I only started looking at NASCAR when Juan Pablo Montoya went there so I never got to see all or here about Dale. I wish NASCAR was still on TV over here I only get to see bits on UA-cam Day's later.
Nascar posts all the races on You-tube about 3 to 4 days after they were on TV. They show all Cup, Xfinity, and truck races
I love the mini movie. Have always loved watching Dale Senior and Dale Junior. So happy he has a family of his own now. Junior will always be # 1 in my book on the race track and ooff.

A friend I knew in High School got to meet Dale Jr in person thanks to the Make A Wish Foundation, got to spend the day with him, I remember him saying how Jr is a really chill and down to earth guy, but my friend didn't have the heart to bring up anything about his dad.

I'm surprised that I've never seen some of these clips before, so thanks for making this. I knew Dale was proud of his son but I never knew he said if he ever started a team he would do whatever it took to get Gordon on it, but that his son someday was going to kick his butt, or that he was the envy of all the other dads in the pits... that's really heartwarming to hear that. I already respected the man but that just made it even better. Again, thanks for posting this so I could discover that. Thumbs up button smashed!

it’s 2023 and there’s still not another driver that even comes close to having the character and integrity that dale jr had when he was behind the wheel. jr. is and will always be a true american icon just like his father.
This is an excellent movie about Dale Jr. I was a fan of his dad for years as was my family. Every chance i get, I cheer on Dale Jr and have watched him come into his own; Huge fan of Dale Jr and I know his dad, is beaming from Heaven. This was great!

Watching this made me cry. I've enjoyed Nascar for a long time. It won't be the same without him. Just like it wasn't when his dad got killed. He really hasn't had much time to mourn his dad. This is what he needs. But I seriously doubt he'll be gone long. It's in his blood. Bottom line he's an Earnhardt.
Those were my best memories of racing back in that era. We were and still are diehard #3 & #8 fans. It was an awful and great year for me also when Sr. passed away. My first son was born right after his death on 3/17/01 and he passed on 5/17/01...Then we watched Jr. win Daytona that summer...What a roller coaster of a year that was. Life goes on though...I was blessed with a second healthy son a year later and we cheer on the #88 together.

He should have won a championship in 2004. They took points away from him for cussing after the Talladega win which NASCAR shouldn't have done. Fine him some $ don't take away points.
If I remember correctly he still wouldn't have won it unfortunately.

Really, I share this as a love to Dale Earnhardt and his son Dale Jr. Both I have so loved in this sport, and if Dale Jr quits racing, that will be the end to me following this sport. Truly, they are two most special ones in this sport. And maybe, the best. Yes, all may see this, and also God. Because , Dale Jr. has still has his father with him in his faith. His father continues to teach and be with him every day.
That says it all, what a great video of lots of times, Jr is the real deal and he tells it like it is, it takes a real man to cry, it shows you have a good Heart and can Love... We all need to be loved and that don't just come along everyday, and time gets away from ya fast🕊️🖤😎✝️♥️🇺🇸

When it showed him after he wrecked at first race back after his dad died really makes you think about his situation and what it was like carrying the heaviest of hearts and how much he missed his Daddy

Dale Jr. Deserves it. He Was REALLY aggressive in the Can-Am Duel, which he won (2016). He was aggressive because he wants to win the 500 again. But Most of all, he wants a championship. In 2014, he said he would "Be More Aggressive" and "Try Hard To Win More". This is the Year. #JRNation #Nationwide88 #DaleJr

Honestly when Dale Jr won the Daytona in this video it brought tears to my eye! I'm glad I lived to witness this day! I believe in my heart even if Michael could have over took Dale Jr it would have been the wrong thing to do!

Thanks for making this man, you've done a great job! He's gonnabe missed badly but i think his lack of results this year doesnt sit at all well with Jr so he would rather retire than continue to finish outside the top ten. I respect that, i respect him and respect his decision. I hope he enjoys retirement and that we still see him in a car sometimes.
I do realise why he retired - it's just a shame he didn't go out with a bang!

i still like seeing shawn balluzo in yellow eyin you hard aint he..i worked for him once,, at a dino shop. he closed it, hes won many championships in late model and modifieds i also remember steve park and jeff green working with that team and building great rearend geometry for Tony SR&Jr..i like the way hes come along here lately,, maybe one day ill have a tree house and a hunting cabin... but i doubt it at least i have my parents still , i need to pay more attention to those things i can control..not worry bout racing,, takes too much time from family

How could anybody not like Jr? He is one of the most likable of all people.Who else is going to say shit and hell yeah! or hell no or even ass on national television? He is certainly getting better with age and his 2016 Daytona post race can am Q/A was one of the best especially giving kudos to his Dad, spotter,fans and crew.Now go get another Daytona, Dale Jr.

All the jr and sr shots choked me up a bit. Very sad, and make me miss what could have been and should have been. That would have been an amazing dynasty. I will always miss them both being at the track. Especially now with Gordon and Stewart having retired, NASCAR has a huge hole in it that will never be filled.
Would'nt it be great for Dale jr. to do something similiar to Mark Martin? Have a year or two to rest (maybe race part-time), and then - instead of finishing second like Mark Martin - Dale comes back to win the championship an then drive off into the sunset. I know the chances of that happening are slimmer than slim but i can dream, can't i?!?
From, If I'm gonna let anyone tear up my racecar it might as well be my son, to two time Busch Series Champ and 50 wins in all NASCAR National Series Combined. 24 in Busch and 26 (Maybe more) in Cup.

Well since he’s been retired and has his own unfiltered media outlet of his podcast, it’s become quite clear that dale sr was no person who should be respected as a father as evidence by all of his children who have some pretty serious disdain over the horrible person he really was to treat his own kids worse than the dirt he walked on, yet had to go along with how he was portrayed or else they would end up like dales other children he abandoned because he didn’t even care enough about his own kid that wasn’t even old enough to speak yet before he tossing him away to suffer a god awful horrible childhood of poverty and massive physiological torture growing up dirt floor, food less and shoeless poor yet had to watch his dad on TV being a incredibly wealthy, respected, and celebrated around the world. If it wasn’t for Tony Sr, we wouldn’t have ever heard about dale jr just like his older brothers and sisters.

Saw Jr win live at Richmond in 98 in the Busch series one of the best live races I've seen! Really hate is most for Jr that we lost Sr cause I still believe he had alot more he was going teach him.
