Finally someone who’s doing it the fast way lol. I’ve been seeing all of these Adobe premiere users moving over to DaVinci and making everything look so complicated lol
i moved a few months ago and the only "issue" i had is that i cant change the easing of transform without going to the fusion page, but i kinda got used to going to fusion for everything
I'm pretty sure the key frame still exists beyond the adjustment layer when you trim it. So the motion is slightly cut off at a higher velocity before it gets to the end of the movement. Also makes the timeline less less cluttered
OH DR needs something like PREMIERE had/has that they called Anamiate to time line. This took all your selected clips/stills and placed them sequentially on the timeline at a given number of seconds (Not Frames) that would make it a lot easier to put 5 frames of any number of stills/clips automaticaly on the time line.
Curious to know what adding the extra frame on the adjustment clip is for when the keyframe is set on the previous frame and then extra frame is cut off anyway. Probably obvious, but I just don’t know, haha! Thanks :)
What’s the point of making it one frame longer then shortening? Seems like just doing it the same length as the clip from the beginning would accomplish the same
a follow up question is : can you save that as a custom user preset and if yes how? i right click but i dont' see an option of like save as preset or not sure if a different way to do it?
An adjustment clip affects everything below it. So you only need to keyframe once. By copying the adjustment clip you save yourself having to keyframe each clip individually.

im gonna have to sub if your tutorials are like these since I'm just getting into making my own videos.
Welcome aboard! 🤝
What does adding and then removing a frame of the adjustment clip do?
Wondering the same🤝
i think its just so you can see what it looks like in the last frame, you can see when he removes the frame it zooms back out

why is it necessary to add that extra frame on the adjustment layer to then remove it?

But why extend the adjustment clip and then cut it back? Won't the endpoint allow a keyframe?

I'm new to Da vinci, what do u mean by adjustment clip?
You can find it in the Effects tab, toolbox
👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥
🙌
Bless you

Good job 😊...keep it friend ❤

cool bro very easy

I'm completely new to this and I was wondering what an adjustment clip is?
@@anshusachan2459 you apply effects to it and any clips underneath are affected by it
Dope
🙌
Now can that be saved as a Preset so one can DRAG & DROP it on the tme line then just Alt-Drag it over the other clips.

@@adamcmastering5170 to make the keyframing process easier. If you don’t do it that way there might be a 1 frame pause between the zoom ins
If you film in 30 or 60, would the clip length just be 1/5 frame rate?
5frames for 24fps, 6 frames for 30, 8 or 9 for 60fps
😂Don't forget the MOTION BLUR!
Always
Do you add the extra frame to deal with out of bond issues?
Yes to make the zoom keyframing continuous
guys, easier add adjustment layer and activate dynamic zoom. NO KEYFRAMES. Thank me later. saved you some time :)
It is not the same though for this specific effect
I'm so beginner, where did you got that adjustment layer?
Up in the effects tab
@@wbynan thank you sm, i really appreciate your efforts
What’s the point of making it one frame longer then shortening? Seems like just doing it the same length as the clip from the beginning would accomplish the same
If you try doing it that way your view will change to the next clip so you wont see exactly how much the zoom in will be
@@wbynan ah just a Davinci quirk. Thanks!
Is this not the same as just toggling the dynamic zoom botton ?
Making them a compound clip then adding blur effects ?
Haven’t tried that method. Would probably look slightly different
Why u extend the adjust in 1 frame? U can't do this without extending? Can u explain the reason?
It just makes the keyframing process easier to see what you are adjusting
Maybe stupid question, but could this effect also not be achieved by using a simple zoom transition?
It would not look the same
Best
Thanks!
Glad he didn’t turn into Prison Mike
Haha what do you mean?
Why originally you drag it to extra 1 frame?
So there is no pause in between the zooms
Why did you have to make the adjustment clip 6 frames to start?
So the zoom is continuous between clips
@@wbynan thank you!
How do make the video 5 frame long, or does he mean 5 seconds long?
5 frames (24frames = 1 second)
Dumb question, but why the extra frame?
@@countchungalitus7604 so the keyframing is continuous from clip to clip
a follow up question is : can you save that as a custom user preset and if yes how? i right click but i dont' see an option of like save as preset or not sure if a different way to do it?
Yes i sell this as a preset/adjustment layer in my Transitions Pack
Why not do it directly on the clip? We can set keyframes on the clip itself right? What is the advantage of doing it on the adjustment clip?
Quicker for me to drag/duplicate it above other clips
@wbynan oh, ya, that's right, easy to copy to other clips. Thanks for the tip. I was applying them to the actual clips till now.
@@kannagadu420 happy to help

@@rollvideo good to know. Thanks for sharing this.
Does this zoom the whole scene below or it's actually enlarging the clip below?
It is zooming in on each individual clip!
dope
