Both she and Storm could have had more fight scenes or scenes where they demonstrated their real strength, but I'm glad that neither of them fainted 5 seconds after using their powers.

It gradually reached omega again or almost thanks to new writers. Some of her TK feats were moving a the mutant island Arakko with all its inhabitants to mars, pushing a space station from mars to space, splitting a miniature sun while being under telepathic attack. Cable mention in the last episode or so that he TK is world class

This cartoon did justice to several X-Men to some degree but it definitely undid the joke that was made with Jean in the original 5 seasons of X-Men, where lifting a glass of water was a herculean task for her. In X-Men 97, both his telekinesis and his telepathy are a threat to his opponents, as much as his friends' other abilities, and not a nuisance. Her combat in Madridpoor was excellent, with her supporting a building, throwing it into the bay and fighting in the best Saiyan style with Sentinel Prime, it was very satisfying. Her fight against Mr. Sinister was beautiful. Even Sinister seemed shocked at the way she attacked him. And I was thrilled when she took away from him everything he added to his own body, reducing him to a mockery of what he wanted to be. It was super pleasurable. A lot of people don’t understand that the 90s portrayed Jean as weak so when she become Phoenix it was completely jarring and unexpected. It was 90s melodrama.

I partially agree. I do think storm didn't get enough time to showcase what she can do ( but perhaps because in the 90's she outshined jean some of the other X-men and got more attention). The 90's series was a total disservice for Jean, so they had to make it up.
How do we keep this show alive. It is truly Marvel and the whole live action bullshit Iron-Man phase is over. The X-Men deserve to have the 2020s. So much better than that shitty MCU. The final shot of Rogue, Storm and Jean Grey, like the REAL Marvel Superheroines.
