RE: why Kaysha is perhaps following a Latinate script: Inuktitut syllabics take some learning to master. I can't speak for Kaysha but her command of the language may be primarily by oral/aural means (as Inuktitut has always been for thousands of years) and she may not have have had occasion to yet become fluid in reading the modern, synthetic (but brilliantly conceived) syllabics. Also, she probably learned to read in English and the Latinate orthography is more familiar as a sign-sound nexus system. Raises some intriguing dialogues about oral and print languages and their relations to cultures.

No, lol. Our anthem sucks so much. I wish we had taken the GDR's anthem after the reunification...

Why is the printed sheet she's using in the Latin alphabet? I thought Inuktitut had its own script.

TRiG (Ireland) it does have its own alphabet. but is also written with the Latin alphabet. especially for a child I'm sure reading it like that is alot easier for her

Depends on the community. Labrador for example only uses Latin

TRiG (Ireland) really? Latin? Natives and Inuits have two written languages something America never mentions and makes the world believe we never had any written languages... Plus America don't know much about north America anyways like this knowledge en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Crow_Flats this is why Natives and Inuits don't buy the whole land bridge theory....

In Greenland and Russia, Inuktitut is always written with Latin alphabet. Probably it is easier for kids who learn it as a second language to use that alphabet instead of the one they use in Canada.
