Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. And this in all the different registers . His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 or 16 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. Kazakhstan is formerly Soviet Union so they speak Kazakh and also Russian, as does Dimash. Both are very different languages having different alphabets. He sings in 13 languages, speaks Kazakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin, since he is a superstar in China, (all over the world too). He has solo concerts all over the world to audiences of over 40,000. His biggest audience to date was 150,000 in Gakku 2017 where he set the record for the highest note ever sung live by a male, (with vibrato), D8 a few notes off the piano! This SOS performance was 2018, you should hear him today, his lower registers are to die for now he’s older at 29. Here he was 23/24. He’s also a multi-instrumentalist and an amazing composer. Unfortunately you had the singer's volume turned down very low and it was difficult to hear him on your video. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
If possible, always watch the videos to the end. Very often there are interesting things to learn. Either there’s something to laugh about, or he’s talking to his audience. He always thanks his musicians. He is incredibly humble and never acts like a star. When he is praised, he constantly says that it is thanks to his teachers and his parents, who made it all possible for him. He’s just incredible.

Kazakhstan is formerly Soviet Union so they speak Kazakh and also Russian, as does Dimash. Both are very different languages having different alphabets. He sings in 13 languages, speaks Kazakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin, since he is a superstar in China, (all over the world too). He has solo concerts all over the world to audiences of over 40,000. His biggest audience to date was 150,000 in Gakku 2017 where he set the record for the highest note ever sung live by a male, (with vibrato), D8 a few notes off the piano! This SOS performance was 2018, you should hear him today, his lower registers are to die for now he’s older at 29. Here he was 23/24. He’s also a multi-instrumentalist and an amazing composer. He also dances great and he sings in all genres from Opera to Rock to Pop and he also Raps pretty good! THE greatest vocalist of ALL time!

His name sounds: Dimash accented “mash” and accented /´gen. He is from Kazakhstan but there was singing in Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus when he was 23 years old.
He uses techniques from opera, modern lyric, ethnic, glam, hard rock and pop environments. Registers don´t apply to his voice. Not only male voice, no female voice, no alien voice: Dimash´s voice.

“SOS d'un terrien en détresse” tells of an earthly being that is in distress and asking for help because he never felt well in his own skin, he better wants to be a bird to see the world in case it could be more beautiful when seen from above. Luc Plamondon wrote the lyrics of SOS about a very distraught young man who just lost his lover causing him extreme questioning of his own existence. Finally being by her lifeless body, he is able to let her go “in peace“ with the words ‘sleep, my child, sleep’. It is a part of an french Rock-Pop opera released in 1979: Starmania. One of the 5 most difficult songs in French language. It was recorded by Daniel Balavoine in 1979 or so and Grégory Lemarchal won of the French reality singing competition Star Academy 2004 with this song.

Sir, I really appreciate your reaction to Dimash, I really do as I always love it when new reactors discover Dimash for the first time and see for themselves how truly amazing he really is but can you please stop pausing as much? Every few seconds you would keep pausing and talking which is incredibly frustrating to all of us watching your channel. I understand you have to pause to give us your opinion but could you just leave much longer gaps before stopping as you miss the flow of Dimash’s performance which kind of spoils things? Also, could you please turn up your volume as it was extremely quiet for us viewers and sounded almost muffled at our end - many thanks 😊
