Once you open it, you will experience a new world nobody has painted before. His range is bigger than anybody’s range, but the fun fact is that, in the end, this is only 1/10 of his artistry. You can compare Dimash with other singers if talking about some specific aspects, but if you take in consideration all what Dimash is able to do, than…there is no way to compare him with any other singer. Let’s discover it by yourself. He will surprise you in every song, because every one takes you to another level in a different aspect, technique, genre, registry, expression, voice control, breath control… you name it. This is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears (This is what Dimash calls us fans.) This song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight.
In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old) and the first non-Chinese. Foreign participants were actually forbidden until then. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home.
Despite Dimash's planned brief presence, his name should be symbolic and understandable to the public. The name Dimashi was chosen and Chinese hyroglyphs were assigned to the 3 syllables: * Di - achievement * Ma - gemstone * Shi - dream, wish.
Only professional, award-winning singers take part. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after this song Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to UA-cam ... and so we became Dimash's Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned that Dimash would survive two episodes of the competition. They didn't really believe in him. But Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. won).
A few months later Dimash sang this song as a guest of honor at the opening ceremony of the competition 'Slavic Bazaar 2018'. (He himself will no longer participate in competitions.)

Dimash supports the head voice much better, and sings much lower in the chest voice than Marcelito. It's not even worth comparing them. Marcelito is just a parodist, and does not sing in different styles. Dimash can sing both high and low, while changing his style from opera to pop sound. All singers sing as they can, but only Dimash sings as he wants.

Это не Марселито и дело не в том ,что у Дтиаша больше голосов ,а дело в том как Димаш ведет себя на сцене ,как он преображается когда поет ,как он всего себя отдает тому что исполняет в данный момент ,он просто живет этим .У Марселито этого нет ,по крайней мере я этого не заметила, вот поэтому от исполнения Димаша почти у всех мурашки .У Димаша непередоваемое обаяние и огоромная харизма

Dimash is university trained in classical opera and also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and recently he finished his master degree in music composition. Now he is planning to start his doctorate in Musicology. Oh no… Comparing Marcelito to Dimash is like comparing someone who can walk to a ballet dancer or an aerial acrobat. Are you Italian? If so, Dimash has sung quite a number of Italian songs: Ti Amo Cosi (with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina); Passione; Ogni Pietra; Confessa; Ulisse. Adagio was sung in English.

Marcelito is a great singer in comparison to most singers, and I do think he has great skill making not so high notes sound feminine. He can sing the same note but make it sound masculine and feminine without changing his range. This is impressive to me. But… he is amateur in comparison to Dimash. I don’t mean to be rude to Marcelito because I do think he is a great singer. Dimash is just on another level. Thank you for the video.

No offense, but Marcelito can't compare to Dimash. Dimash is the BEST vocalist ever. He sings in 15 different languages, has a vocal range that spans 7 octaves, and sings in all genres (even raps). He has been training since the age of 5. He was 23 during this performance, but is now 27 and has many amazing performances you should check out.

Dimash current vocal range including growl and whistle tone is 7 octaves and one semi tone (C#1 - D8),that is,what he shows to us,don't be surprised, if vocal range will be bigger. Last year he released his first digital music album "iD",which became platinum in 37 seconds after releasing and 3x platinum only in one hour! He have millions, maybe billions fallowers and official fan bases in 155 countries all over the world! He sang Fift element song - Diva dance with ease! Performer,vocalist, multi instrumentalist, composer, model and director at age 26. Sings in 12 + languages, play 7+ music instruments. If he do covers,he make his own way,but what Marcelito? He sings in many languages, Kazakh, Russian, Ukrainian, French, Italian, English, Mandarin, etc. He also sings in many genres, and has as you can see an extreme vocal range but you will be surprised to know... this was not all of his range at all. Try Stranger from New Wave. It is in English but you will have to blur it most likely for copyright.
