      You are welcome. We have some more coming as we are using the Solis now in colder weather.

    We just completed a 10 day trip,no hookups and had no problems with our solar,as for the cassette we went 7 days before the red indicator started to show.

      Great job on the cassette management! 😀 We're boondocking the next 6 nights before we head up to Mount Rushmore. Safe travels John. 👍

    Great videos! New subscriber. I just bought a 23 Solis 59P NPF so your videos are very helpful! Great rotating sink spout attachment recomendation from Lori! Thank you. I'm going to get one. More videos on the Solis! Safe travels!

      Thanks you Kelli! We've been distracted but will pick back up on our Solis videos now that we've had it 2 plus years. Congratulations on you Solis purchase!

      So we've not done videos in a while but almost 9 months later our Solis is performing well. While not a vehicle for snow in my mind because of only having front wheel drive I recently spent several nights in it where the temperature dropped below 30F. The Truma heating system kept me noce and warm at night in the California high desert.

    How you doing, will you pls let me know about gas mile.

    • @LaurieandBillRetired

      On last this past weekend in the 16 - 17 mph range. But that is glancing occasionally at the trip view. I actually don't chart it.

    OK, so you've checked fishing off the list. But what about pickleball?

    • @LaurieandBillRetired
      @LaurieandBillRetired  3 роки тому +1

      Laurie got some court time in a few days ago in the Vail Valley. 😀 Might be more pickleball when we head up to Mount Rushmore, we'll see. 👍

    Thanks for the update and hope the rest of your trip goes well! I'm curious what your vehicle computer says you have for average MPG?
    Agreed on the generator clearance worries: that was actually one of the many reasons I got the 59P instead of the 59PX. There are a couple places that do promaster lifts, to get an extra 1-3" (for about $1000-3000).
    Happy travels and maybe one day our Solis' will see each other down the road.

    Great video. Curious how tall are you? Just curious since taller drivers in the Ram isn’t a good fit. But that said real peoples answers are best ha.

      Hi John I'm 6 foot and Laurie is 4 foot 11 inches. 👍 I just just drove 444 miles in it yesterday and it was a comfortable drive. I did make two gas stops which let me stretch my legs for 5 or 10 minutes. Thank you for taking time to watch the video!

      Hi Tim! Good to hear from you. Yes Minnesota is on our list. Laurie has not been there. I've fished many times up on the Iron Range when I traveled up there regularly in summers from the Chicago area. Now that we have the Solis vs. our previously class A motorhome it would be an easier trip. Maybe next summer or right after ice out we'll head that way, Hope all is well Tim. 👍

    What are you using the Jackery for? Do you like it?

    • @LaurieandBillRetired
      @LaurieandBillRetired  10 місяців тому

      I use them in support of my astrophotography hobby for the most part to power my elescopes and mounts. The have regulated 12V out which is important for what I do. Laurie will use them when camping to power a rice cooker or maybe an InstaPot. We dp like them but we've not used other brands yet.

    Do you have a link to the sink adapter? I’ve never seen anything like that and would love to have one for my Solis.

      This adapter is one of my favorites. It is very easy to install. I did it myself.

    Nice video! Bill, you appear tall. How is the bed comfort for you? How about on your stomach? Can you stretch out? Thank you and stay well!

    • @LaurieandBillRetired
      @LaurieandBillRetired  3 роки тому +2

      Thank you Dave. 👍 I'm 6' even so I can stretch out just fine. I'm a side sleeper so can't speak to sleeping on my stomach. The bed is on the firm side but it has been working out for me and Laurie. Yesterday we added a 1 & 1/4" Main Stays topper we got a Walmart. I don't want to say it was an improvement because I was sleeping fine without it but I don't feel the creases between the cushions now.

      How did you find folding up the bed with topper on, or do you always leave it down?

    Thanks guys!!! Awesome video. Im pretty convinced this is the van for me. Only concern is if the HOA would allow it. Any experience dealing with HOAs with this van?

    • @LaurieandBillRetired
      @LaurieandBillRetired  2 роки тому

      We do not have direct experience with HOA's. My girlfriend who lives in Reno said a van cannot be left on the street. All cars should be parked in their garage.

      I live in a neighborhood with a strict HOA. I told anyone who asks that it's a work vehicle, which it often is. No trouble.

    Great video, where in your rig do you store the extra fridge / freezer ??

    • @LaurieandBillRetired
      @LaurieandBillRetired  2 роки тому +1

      Excellent question. While we are still experimenting on our 39 day trip which recently ended we used two different configurations. First for the beginning of the trip we traveled with it behind the driver seat, where the table would be, and then we we reached our destination we turned the driver and passenger seats around and moved the BougeRV fridge / freezer to between the seats. Toward the end of the trip w just traveled with it between the seats. I will also try traveling with it in the rear of the 59px. It will fit and the 11' power cord will reach the 12V socket by the sink. One thing I can say is the BougeRV 53 quart fridge / freezer ran for 42 days straight without any failures. Yes the temperature varied a few degrees higher than stated based upon ambient temperature changes, but it kept running without stopping.

    If you have an opportunity, could you please confirm the length of the murphy bed? (north-to-south) Winnebago states 77 inches but I have heard comments on other videos of people 6'2" just fitting "okay" and hanging a touch into the open aisle area. I am a tad under 76 inches tall, and feet hanging off the edge (I have experience! lol) is not so great. Ceiling height is what it is. Otherwise, really like many aspects of this camper.

    • @LaurieandBillRetired
      @LaurieandBillRetired  Рік тому

      When I measure the distance between the bump outs I get ~ 76 3/8 inch. My apologies for the delayed response.
