That was way to cool, I have restored 3 68 Camaros myself and did everything farmed out nothing, Boy that was a nightmare. But man did I have fun. One can spend 20,000 to 60,000 depends on the amount of work that is in need, but the last day is the coolest when that car gets reunited to the owner and the smile and tears worth every dollar spent on that Camaro.

    In 1985 I owned a 1970 Z28 with the split bumper... I wish I still owned it!😊
Listening to these gentlemen brought back found memories of cruising the winding roads of sunny Southern California without a care in the world!❤️☀️❤

The 70-73 is the best. Had the privilege of driving a '70 Z28 when I was a Senior at FSU. My buddy's family had money and he got one of the first Z28s in Florida from Slaton Chevrolet in Pompano beach. Car was Shadow Grey, black stripes, black vinyl top 4SP and 3.73 gears

Would love to hear some obscure racing stories from over the years shared on this channel. I’m sure you have absolutely incredible racing stories. A video going over say the crazy under appreciated events you remember from all your time with the sport would be a treat for many. Long form analysis content is getting very popular recently and I’m sure many many fans would love to hear some of your stories.

Mike, I am working with Joey Gray right now to purchase his 1972 Z28 that he built for himself, what a great guy he is, I stopped by his shop with my wife recently on our way back from a Fl trip could not have been more impressed both with the shop and him as a person looking forward to getting the blue 72 that he has completed

Note that the rad for the 70 Z28 is a 2 core. In 1981 when I bought my 70 Z28 I knew a guy in GM Parts office and we both went to the parts bin where the rad was. I didn’t believe it was a 2 core in a Z28. I opened up the box and yup, it was a 2 core. If I knew how hard these are to find I would have bought 10 rads. Back then I had a 4 core built with my original tanks.

    Mike, I have a 73 z28 rs 4 speed car restored .
My dad was a racer all his life first scca road racer than stockcars.
so I grew up with these cars. I loved both forms of racing but so many of these cars and others
are no more because of stockcar racing .But that`s just the way it was back then.
Blessed to have mine. Split bumper Mike

Making a Camaro an "RS" is probably the most common altercation done to these old F cars. I love the lines & shape of these cars regardless which nose it has.

Doing the work of the Lord! I really like the color of this car featured. If he could only do everything in house but he's got a system. I dig the 71-73's esp 4 speed.

What a well done video!! Excellent workmanship and passion for the cars. For me I have evolved from a standard 70 nose to the RS nose as far as preference. Both are very cool. I am down to just one 70 car now, had a standard bumper and RS, both basket cases. Ended up taking the RS nose off the one car and sold it as a standard car. In progress on a LS build RS, LS7 wet sump with a six speed. Making a fast driver.

I had a 1972 Rally Sport, unfortunately living in Connecticut, it had a terminal case of rust that i wasn't able to fix, had to sell it for $900 dollars. I really enjoyed your interview with this gentleman, he really is a craftsman with Camaro's. you could tell he wasn't used to be on camera, but you framed your questions so he could easily explain in great detail what he does.

Paint shop money is made on insurance jobs where they can flip a car through quickly. Restoration work requires more labor for prep and usually takes a back seat to insurance.
