The people who call Shun a red flag need to get out of their wattpad world. This is not a novel. For the first time in reality tv I have seen someone being so open about their past. Abandonment, being cheated on he told everything to Dai. It was like he warned him what he will be dealing with if he fell in love with him. He explains his behavior everytime. Dai understood him and respects him. If people don''t want to understand then it is their problem, but don[t act like he is not human. It is like people want him to change his traumatic past and suddenly act like he is the happiest person in the world. We even don 't know if got help to deal with his past and he is only 23.

I totally agree. I like that Dai approaches him to get him to explain his behavior. Dai’s proactive involvement is what Shun is expecting of a true partner. He hasn’t been anyone’s number one before. It’s a totally appropriate expectation having a background of abandonment and lack of attachment to a special person. I am sooo hoping they end up together, that Dai is truly the person that can show Shun how valuable he is to him. I also hope that Shun can learn to depend on Dai without belittling him bit by bit due to past experiences. I believe they are on the right track with giving themselves space when needed and the use of good communication to mend their doubts. I am rooting for this pair.

I agree with your POV regarding Shun because I myself was like that before I met my fiancé. Like I warned him what he will be dealing if he will continue to pursue me because of my past and in the end he stayed, tried to listen and understand where I am coming from. I started this recently one evening and basically didn't sleep until 2am. The cultural differences in emotional approach to dating is so interesting to me!
That’s why I love watching dating shows from other cultures….really gives you an insight into their different ways of handling dating and Japanese ones are some of the best. I recommend “Is She a Wolf?” And the Chinese version of “Heart Signal,” especially the last season…..if you haven’t already seen them.
I don’t usually watch reality shows, but the commentators and the gimmick of the coffee truck pulled me in. Shun and Dai - you’re absolutely right that love changes dynamics as it progresses. At this point I think Shun needs Dai. He needs Dai’s sensibility and ability to rein in and weather Shun’s emotions. Alan I have no patience for, he’s like a happy puppy. Kazuto (name?), I really think this man is so tired and preoccupied that we aren’t seeing who he is at all and that’s unfortunate. Thanks for the video ❤
Kazuto didn't get the chance to be with someone he liked, because guys kept approaching and the time was not there to spread with each person to get to know phase. It's just a pity though I wanted him to find someone he could spend time with. He comes on very strong, and that's his personality, he may tone down a bit now but a leopard does not change its spot. He had an intimate relationship with Dai but said he never really had a serious relationship with anyone. He is still displaying that kind of behaviour, that's my view. I don't trust him with Alan, I think later he would hurt him.

The weird thing is I watched the apology scene where Shun apologized to Dai more than the kiss scene, but I loved both sighs. I felt immensely single in that scene😂. They are so in love. Shun was a menace in this episode as well winning the game so that no one gets their wish telling Dai to show me stop talking, being so annoyed by a talk in circles that he rejects to work with Dai. I wish Kazuto showed some interest with someone. I dont think he likes Alan I think his better connection, Usak, who left. I live Ryota and Gensi ans I wish they would work together butI dont think Gensei is Ryota's type. Loved Taehon giving advice to Dai. I wish someone liked him he us so thoughtful and kind.
I hope Kazuto and Usak developed something after the show and I love Taehon, but I think he’s too old for this particular group.

Shun IS a red flag on these episodes. He constantly only thought of himself and kept wanting Dai to PROVE his love but what did he do to prove his love to Dai?
I don’t understand how people think this is cute. And stop bringing up his childhood - Dai shouldn’t have to bear the brunt of his hurt about that. It annoys me to see Dai so happy for the little crumbs Shun drops him - even when Shun came to apologize for not raising his hand, Dai hugged him so warmly with a big smile on his face while Shun stood there almost like a statue not really smiling back but has the audacity to be jealous.
I’m glad I didn’t watch this in its entirety when it was first shown but watched all of it afterwards when people were talking about it because I would have given up on it.

The way they built their relationship based on proper communication is way more beautiful than a scripted drama . Both of them have their own issues , their pace of adjusting and all but in the end they both worked hard to come to the level that they are now. Appreciated your analysis of dai/shun dynamic. I wondered what the fuss was ...s I saw Dai himbling himself before the haughty gorgeous Shun.
But compared to the normal polite indirect way of Japanese communication- Shuns brutal honesty was interesting. And he was edited to show him sleeping and sulking. There were probably lots of him joking and being a goof that aas cut
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your always-insightful reactions. Their personalities are perfect for one another as well as the way they balance one another and I totally agree with all your assessments of the other relationships. But, DaiShun absolutely make this show. Also, it would have been interesting to see if Kazuto and Usak might have developed their relationship if Usak had stayed. It seems to have been headed in that direction (and maybe something might develop or did develop outside the show.)

I was watching it until last week but I have given up on it now. Its too messy this season and some contestants aren't there for the right reasons. Also the format of the show needs work because a week is not enough time to get to know anyone or make any significant decision.
