I cringed so hard when he criticized her for saying that she didn't see him as his skin color but as a human. Like when did we get to a point where it is somehow racist to NOT judge people by their skin color? They have somehow flipped the definition of racism on it's head so that it's now racist to not be a racist, and they can't even see it. Like, you want that girl to see everyone as being nothing more then a skin color? Or is it better to see each other as human, as equals? That is why we fought so hard to abolish slavery and then to end segregation. At one point, we as a society understood the value and importance of trying to create a world in which we could be equal, and now these people seriously want us to go back to a time where we weren't equal and where you WERE judged by your skin color. It's fucked up.

I love how feminists can be clueless about how senseless their statements can be. You ask "what is feminism" and they answer something like "is the belief that men and women should be equal"; but then you ask "ok, what is a woman?", and they try to give this vague answers like "it's anyone who identifies as a woman" to not upset the hive mind. First, this definition is absurd because you can't use the word you're trying to define in its own definition. You can't say "a couch is everything we identify as a couch" because this just means a couch can be literally anything. You need independent markers. But more importantly, even if we go with this idiotic definition, if you state that feminism is about the equality of men and women but then procede to say that woman is everyone who identifies as such (which as we stated, makes no sense), then your movement is meaningless, because then all these supposed "opression" is just an "opt in" costume that you could come in and out as you please, and men could simply "become woman" and joined the "opressed" and women could just "become men" and opt out of the opression, thus making feminism pointless.

These matter, and the law should not seek to homogenize these differences between men and women.

Just like a rectangle isn’t a Square but a square is a rectangle.
For instance, giving birth is a woman’s right, but it is not a human right because men cannot give birth
Self-defense is a human right because men and women can both defend themselves
Free-speech is Human right because men and women have a right to speak

There are three categories under complementaranism:
      Human rights
      Men’s rights
      Women’s rights
Kamala Harris would love this because it is a Venn diagram
Women’s rights are not men’s rights and men’s rights are not women’s rights
But human rights are men’s rights and women’s rights
The problem with egalitarianism is it smashes the Venn diagram into human rights, so, if giving birth is a human right, then men have a right to give birth (just as much as a man can compete in women’s sports)

Yeah I don’t care much for channels like that one, where their bias is fairly obvious and it skews the conversation. Also, like you said, the quality of the people brought on. To me it feels reminiscent of when we would have classroom debates in high school and the teacher would select a student from your group to speak for your side and that particular student is either bad at speaking or not well informed/knowledgeable, proceeds to drop the ball, and not only ‘loses’ the debate but makes your side look like fools.
That’s exactly how this felt, with people who didn’t seem to have a great grasp on the topic or had weird answers which leads to them missing the mark or questions that should be really easy to answer and show the other side the merit of yours

I’m with judge Judy-I don’t need a movement to give me empowerment.
And quite honestly the things that have given me strength either have nothing to do with my gender (my faith) or the things I can do that a man cannot. On the other side of that coin a man’s strength comes from the things he can do that a woman cannot. We have different strengths and weaknesses because we were made to compliment each other, not compete. Fighting nature and biology has made some very unhappy people in society.

As a 23 year old it's refreshing to see a fellow human in her twenties to make me realize it's never too late to learn new things.
Feminism: The advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes. This is the first what I see when I look up the definition of feminism. So it doesn't refer to gender but to sexes. Anyhow...All genders or all sexes refer both to all humans. So I would not have a problem if anyone called it "The advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of all genders."
But women's rights should still refer to sex because I get that people treat transgender women as women but they have a different experience of being trans on top of it so you can't compare it and it's also not included when they refer to women's rights. They have their own movement "Trans rights" or "Transnism."
Hating on men is also not modern day feminism, don't listen to the clowns you see on Twitter claiming to be feminist. I get clowns get a lot media attention. So that would make any movement look bad. If you're hating men cuz some dude (or dudes) broke your heart, you're not a feminist. You just have a bad judgement and make impulsive decisions. (This is not an assumption but a scenario.) First sort your life out instead of claiming to be part of a certain movement ;)

Who should we listen to then? how about Northeastern Univ. sociology professor *Suzanna Danuta Walters,* also director of women's, gender, and sexuality studies?
Not only is she a feminist, but a prominent one. No one can deny she's a feminist. Not even you.
Walters is the author of _"why can't we hate men"_ published in the *Washington Post,* a screaming condemnation of ALL MEN and a toxic push for society-wide misandry and effectively removal of men from all positions in society. Coming from a prominent feminist gender professor. Huh.
Or how about Valerie Solanas and her S.C.U.M. manifesto? ring a bell? can you tell me why this is such a fan favorite of feminists and Solanas is a feminist icon?
What about *Julie Bindel* who suggested women incarcerate all men in concentration camps and only check them out temporarily "like books". Bindel is a famous feminist 'activist'. Again, celebrated and reputable feminist to this day. No feminist protest regarding her odious and toxic misandry.
I don't think any of those women are "clowns on Twitter".
feminism has always been about the normalization and promotion of pathological hatred of the male half of humanity with the expressed goal of persecution, dehumanization and even extermination of men. And until feminists stop lying to themselves and finally confront their endorsement of ugly misandry and take decisive actions to sanitize their movement, feminism is going to remain a social carcinogen that has no moral right to exist.

@@etsequentia6765 The most feminists where I talk to, don't even know who these woman are... Just listen to your average feminist who just want equality of opportunity between the sexes, not on the Internet. But in real life.
Not every feminist is a connoisseur of these books written by women who just got too hard into this. And yes, if you get faced by a lot of woman who tell their bad experiences of men , and that for multiple days, months, years, you get radicalized very easily. And then it's easy to hate men. Visa versa for men that hate woman.
That's why it's important to not take a public figure for granted as a symbol of a WHOLE movement. The same goes for beliefs etc. In life I know some good Christians (not public figures). But I could also cherry pick those public figures through history who molested kids.

From what I've learned it looks like feminism is trying to eliminate the difference between men and women that have evolved over millions of years. I agree that women should be empowered but I think the basic difference between men and women is that men are confrontational and women are nurturing and that difference is not only good but necessary

    • @rattgod
      @rattgod Рік тому +1

Would you acknowledge those two distinct traits have been reinforced through socialization? I can admit I’m naturally very nurturing and want to have kids and be a mother, but I was most certainly influenced by what I saw growing up, and never questioned it up until I got older. However, I have a lot of traits which would be considered “masculine”. I’m confrontational, opinionated, very abrasive sometimes, obnoxious at times and very talkative, willing to debate, and very stubborn.
