Thank you so much for actually calling the engine an LQ9 6.0, what it actually is. Not like everyone else that just says 6 liter LS when it is not. Kudos and thumbs up.
Thanks for posting. I'm doing the same thing (Naturally aspirated LQ4 into a C10). Is this cam the go-to for weekend cruiser with a few street legal drag nights or should I be looking at a different cam?
This is my truck and it drives awesome and pulls awesome at any gear. It definitely starts making power at 3,500 and pulls very strong through 6500+. If you're running an automatic you'll need to talk to Chris about what stall you'll need.
Looking at putting a btr pds 2 torque or redhot in my ls2 in a c10. m112 ~6# boost. Will it work well with 10.6 static? 80e 3000 , 3.73 28” tires Thanks
Been seriously considering throwing an LQ9 or 4 in my OBS going with the red hot with plans to go centrifugal blower down in the future, have you guys done/seen much of how the redhot takes boost?
I bought the mufflers from Summit Racing. Part # is BOR-400945. This is the offset inlet and center outlet version. They do offer an offset/offset version, which is part # BOR-400947. Hope this helps!
Tons. Truck norris is best for sound in a 5.3. Redhot makes much more power, but really needs a stall and supporting mods. Search our channel. Tons of information on them both
@@nufnuffz28 what are the street manners and mpgs with this cam? im thinking about this or a truck norris for my ranger ls swap, feels like it would be pointless too have truck norris in a ranger when theyre so light they dont need the low end torque but if the bigger cam is gonna suck gas i might as well just go with truck norris.
@@chrishansen7004 depends on engine size, usage, and what converter. Truck norris makes noise, but on a 6.0 or better with a lighter vehicle id go btr 1 v2 or this.
@chrishansen7004 if I drive it around in traffic and just cruise on the highway I typically see 18-20 mpg with it. However when I get into it it's usually a race to see if the fuel gauge or the speedo is going to peg out. When we did the Power Tour I averaged 18.3 for the whole trip and that was with AC blowing and sitting in traffic at the events. As far as manners go it truly drives like a stock vehicle. If I let the rpm get below 1,500 I usually have to feather the clutch to keep it from bucking alot. I did notice that with this particular cam it doesn't create much vacuum so if you're running a booster you may want to look at going manual or doing a hydroboost setup. If you have any questions feel free to message me. Chris knows his stuff backwards and forwards and they did a phenomenal job dialing this in for me. Him and I talked about changing heads but that goes down the rabbit hole of new heads then a different intake and then fuel injectors and then I'd need a different wiring harness or get adapters. It's not worth all the hassle in my opinion to make another 50-60 HP.

You're welcome
As usual…great content guys! There

Yes and yes. It sounds good and runs great. Also add square port heads if you can.

Love it!
Thank you sir!
I'm about to try it in an LS1 with ported 243s and 2.02 valves & t56.
How did it go?

Yes. The cam won't care at all
Same cam. The stage 2 pds torque cam is the exact same cam as the red hot cam.
Wondering how this cam will work in lq4 with 243 heads milled .030 and tbss intake
Probably pretty well.
@@nufnuffz28 guess I’m order and find out before I switch to square port heads

Yes. Check our other videos. Have one on a centrblower on an SS
What is the part number for those mufflers I am looking for mufflers for a exhaust system for my lq9
Not sure tbh

Awesome looking and sounding truck. What compression is the truck? The numbers look good.
@@TKennedy9 Not sure. The owner thinks they are pretty low (under 10/1)
Whar is cam specs
Type of heads?
243 style heads. BTR Redhot is the cam
What’s different between red hot & truck norris cam

Thanks building a single cab Silverado with a 6.0 hoping to do heads cam etc deciding between this cam and truck Norris
What converter you using ? Sounds nice 🔥
T56
This truck would come too life with a set of cylinder heads! Stock lq4 heads have too be the worst ls cylinder heads ever made.
Heads would be huge,yes!
