Princess Buttercup I think he's the type of guy who is himself all the time. So he's not all "fake happy", like thw other people. Not so talkative either. But he was mean in some parts.
I prefer people who say what they think - I don't trust overly nice and happy people at all. I mean I wouldn't have eaten his foie gras - I'm a vegetarian so I wouldn't go on the show in the first place, but I most definitely wouldn't be eating food that wasn't cruelty free.
Princess Buttercup I agree with you. But there's a point of being honest to being just rude. Overall, I liked the guy. The others were so fake to each other. Especially the white dude.
It is unethical to eat goose liver. You can not produce it without force feeding the goose. It can not be produced by living a natural healthy fed life. I eat meat but I sure as hell would not eat that. It's not hypocritical to not eat it but eat other meat. Her feelings are based on the fact of how it's made which is justified and proven true. Drama took a risk serving that and as the host he should have been prepared that people may not agree with it and may not eat it. He should have said I understand your reasons, let me take that into the kitchen. Instead he insulted her for not wishing to eat it and stating the reasons why (which are facts). And when she took a minute to herself (which was needed as she was completely overreactong) when she came back and she moved since he basically belittled her in front of the group he told her to just leave. As the host you should not be acting as if your guest is a piece of poo cuz they dont feel comfortable eating a certain food. I won't eat horse meat (which is a legal meat to eat) yet I eat beef and chicken and buffalo etc. Bottom line drama was a HORRID host in pretty much every way. He was cocky, uninterested in anyone else's experience or enjoyment and woefully unprepared. He probably only came on the show to get a writing job or something.
@Martine Davis if you eat meat there are ways to get ethical meat. Free range, organic all that stuff. Goose liver is only harvested through cruelty. Im not saying everyone feels that way im saying that its a fact. Yes I understand animals are mostly mistreated for food but to serve something that is very well known for cruelty you take that risk and the dude overreacted. (So did she). I would have refused it myself but I wouldn't have made it a big deal. How he reacted made it a HUGE deal.

@@banyam9690 no I think it's more about socioeconomic class, you can tell when they talked about sleeping arrangements. It doesn't help that he was beside prince charming the entire episode. I think people put a label of racism on everything when there may be racial bias but it blinds themselves from seeing the other reasons. It is why there is such a disconnect between Drama and the girl in the episode, I haven't seen this in months but I remember she was crying because her perception of his behaviour was different from what he was trying to convey. I don't really care what your background is, if you try your best with what you're given that's what matters to me. Lastly as a minority I will say when I was younger and I was in a room full of white people I would always find myself being very awkward and scared, the white people in the room didn't understand and mistook my behaviour as something else; much of it was also in my head. I think there is a little of that going on here as well and we can't blame white people for the barriers we put on ourselves. That's what is sorta interesting about this show, in some episodes we have people from very different backgrounds come together for a dinner party when in real life we often find ourselves with people who are similar to us.
@@activelivingchallenger4298 Yes, the women were very snobbish and unpleasant and did look down their noses upon Drama as he was from a lower socioeconomic class to them in their eyes. Also it is the height of rudeness by the women to alienate a male guest by constantly flirting with the only other male guest. If the roles were reversed and there were three men and only two women and the attention and charms were all directed on one of the females it would be seen as lewd. All of this is cultural though. It is cultural. If Drama had been white and he turned up each night without bringing a bottle and he seemed to have an attitude and the same snobby behaviour was put across there would have been no claim whatso ever of racism. This is what we are tirelessly trying to tell people who feel in a minority at any given time. We all feel in a minority at stages in our lives wether we are poor amongst rich, uneducated amongst educated, women amongst men etc. It is something both sides are slowly working on. However it actually blows apart any incremental positive changes we all make when some idiot blows up the dam and labels society's efforts as pure racism. Blows it away. Blows it all apart so we have to start again, all of us have to start from scratch. AGAIN.
@@banyam9690 hmm while I agree with you in many respects I think there is a difference between being a minority in certain areas and being a visible minority. My white friend went to teach in Korea for a few years and when she came back she said for the first time she realized what it's like to be a visible minority and the issues that come along with it that are all too familiar to me. It is especially difficult when you are a child growing up as a visible minority since the trauma of your childhood has a significant impact on your adult life. I think the problem with people too far on the left of this issue is there seems to be a victim mentality with that, and they can't see beyond this 1 issue and can't move forward. Race plays a factor and I don't devalue the experiences of other people but it becomes a problem when dwelling on it prevents finding solutions; also it ironically make people want to listen less and not acknowledge it. You do not do that to a guest when they have a strong will on a certain food. It's like if he served horse, it's still a meat but I sure as hell wouldnt eat it and I'd expect the host to understand
I think she overreacted but I wouldnt eat it. 1. Its especially cruel to create it due to the legit animal cruelty (you can't use a healthy goose liver it has to be force fed til the liver is so enlarged that they can remove it) 2. It's not hypocritical to reject a food that animal cruelty is the ONLY way to get that product while with other meat you can buy ethical meat (free range, organic etc.). She for sure overreacted but drama was a complete ass to her. For a thing like this you dont cook something that is universally known to be wrong. He took a risk and it bit him in the ass, he did not need to basically tell her shes wrong in the facts and she is the problem. Alot of people would reject that meal (even just based on general grossness the way he prepared it). He should have graciously said I understand let me take that away and have left it at that. You do not belittle a guest or basically reject them from even being worthy to treat with basic human courtesy
Drama seemed easy going at first but between him overreacting about the bisexual comment and being such a jerk at his own dinner party... not impressed. I do think everyone was a hypocrite about the foigras however while totally fine with chowing down on every other meat. Would be one thing if she was vegan but claiming she was an animal lover while eating boar, chicken, duck and lamb ... come on girl.
She definitely overreacted however, she had good reason to refuse to eat that. It's not because it's a meat. It is because of the process to obtain it which is cruel and inhumane. I eat meat but I would refuse to eat that to (not to mention it was in 2 other meats so that's just plain gross). I wouldnt eat horse meat even though it's legal due to my feelings of them (grew up riding horses). There are also options to get ethical and humane beef and chicken etc. But to source goose liver it needs to be force fed and basically tortured to harvest the liver. It's incredibly unethical and abuse. Drama took a risk serving it and as the host should have simply told her he understood, no hard feelings and taken her plate away. Instead he belittled her reaction (which was over the top but you dont do that in company and certainly not to a guest) and then basically told her to gtfo after she moved because she felt attacked. The way he reacted I would have walked out (once she came back). He said something about respecting her decision or something when literally a minute ago he told her to leave. That is so ridiculously rude and wrong. He took a risk and it bit him in the ass and frankly I'm surprised he thought she was a witch over it.
Drama pushed through like a champ even though all the other guest were rude to him (Except for Christofer). The ladies were unbearable but yet they thought so highly of themselves. Watching them makes me want to throw up!
Crying over fois grais? Come on! That unfunny comedienne just wanted attention. I dont blame Drama for ignoring her histrionics. Way to ruin Dramas evening!
I've just realised how refrained and introvert the u.k people are compared with the Canadians and south Africans they are so more open with each other and don't really give a hoot, which I as a Brit find so refreshing 💞
I feel like someone dared Drama to come to the show😂🤣He really REALLY doesn't want to be here.. Also, they should just serve wine and some shots and end the night there, no one knows how to cook 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👀
A bit of bullying going on! Drama was right too not engage with the homosexual talk, whoever Chris likes is not up too the women! And tears, and sabotage by putting people off the food before it’s served
To be fair the majority of people would not eat goose liver due to the ethical issues to source it. I dont think anyone tried to make anyone else dislike it (I think what it is and how drama handled it was why they were all apprehensive). She did hugely overreact but as a host he should have said he understood and took her plate away, instead he insulted her character and then told her to leave. A host should never call out a guest especially infront of all the other guests for a moral or ethical opinion or belief. Drama was an ass to everyone but Chris and showed literally zero interest in anything else. He was woefully unprepared and yet felt arrogant enough to call everyone else out about their food and choices when he did horrible (who uses those 3 meats all together in the same dish like gross). He took a risk and it bit his ass
Christopher seems to be the only person with any shred of normality here. Drama is not a nice man, but I can't help but agree with him because the women's manners are fit for no dinner party. I don't like any of the Canadian CDWM, everybody seems to be putting on a huge, embarrassing- to- watch act all the time ...WHY ? Ours 🇬🇧 are funnier but polite at the same time .The Australian and South African ones are good too although the latter overdramatise much of the time.

I can't believe drama is so damn cheap to not bring a gift. He seemed miserable the entire time, I don't get why he signed up? Dont get me wrong they ALL seem lame, but make the most out of it.
How can Elaine claim to be against fois gras but eat lamb that will have been slaughtered at a couple of months old or pork that's placed in a gas chamber whilst screaming desperate to escape the gas that's burning their lungs, nose, eyes, mouth-she's being a Drama queen?!!!
A Portuguese farmer did prove you Can have foie gras without force-feeding geese... Also: Gordon Ramsay favoured the non force-fed... The video is on utube...
Its what keeps me coming back to this show all these years later! This show was hilarious to watch the contestants get roasted by the narrators little comments lmao
Gnocchi in my house is snack food, but I grew up on them. In saying that... the chick who implied she knows all about gnocchi.... knows crap. I could see from here those were awful!
Good Lawd, WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN...1). Why, OH WHY, do people sign up for these cooking shows if they have SO MANY FOOD ISSUES? Clearly, you have no idea what the other participants will serve, so if you can't handle meat, eggs, dairy, alcohol, fish, then don't enter the contest. 2). There's really some socially acceptable, yet unspoken rule, that you could bring some small token of appreciation to your hosts. Drama clearly is clueless; he had to see that everyone else brought a token to the hosts. I'll give him the miss on night one, but after that, he needed to get himself to a store to purchase inexpensive tokens to the fellow 3 hosts. 3). Why oh why would you enter a cooking contest WHEN YOU CAN'T PRONOUNCE OR COOK THE FOODS YOU SELECTED? Cook what you know. 4). Let's consider the fact that you might need to check if you have enough glasses, dishes, and silverware in order to actually host a dinner party. Clearly, some are only interested in the money but they don't have the slightest idea of all that's involved in order to actually get there. I would be so ashamed and embarrassed to have a nationally televised crew and guests at my home if I couldn't pull it off.
Marice... Elaine has already said she can't eat what it is....you tell she should try it, then tell her the horror of what they do to the poor bird, not a bright move!

@@cass16433 she's cruel and inhuman to ppl
Everyrhing that Drama said to Elaine during his party was true. Good on him for asserting himself.
He was right, though. Instead of crying and switching chairs, Elaine should have left the party. She tried to provoke Drama and he shut her down.
there were no ladies in this episode.
Drama was cheap, and miserable from the get go
E.E. No "ladies" because they were women.
@@citizen1163 LOL SHUTUP U SOUND SO DUMB
@@springwaterr & you ARE dumb ...AT THE TOP OF YOUR VOICE. 🤫
@@liferight1143 So were the 3 Karen's, they were worse.
I didnt know they did a Canadian version although I do think the uk version is better
They do a South African one as well. Search it on You Tube
Same
The UK one is the best!!
Canadian version, people are very rude
They are the boring ones out of all the franchises.
Exactly, attention, which is why she is a comedian even though she knows she isn't funny, its just an excuse to be in a spotlight.
@@ashleym8658 You would think that the absence of laughter would give her a clue that shes not funny.
Huge overreaction by Elaine. What a drama queen!
The ladies minus the older lady did seem harsh and a tad racist
Please point out one racist thing they said or did. I'm curious.
@@df-nk6gd Ridiculous. Curious too. He might be the racist person. He keeps being unpleasant.
Why did he do the show?
I wonder...
@@df-nk6gd It’s their attitude towards him for me
@@df-nk6gd You must be stupid.

Fois gras is really good. Crying over it made me laugh my ass off!
I've just realised how refrained and introvert the u.k people are compared with the Canadians and south Africans they are so more open with each other and don't really give a hoot, which I as a Brit find so refreshing 💞
This was one of my favourite episodes that I remember seeing. Drama was hilarious.
I like the uk and South Africa commenter he is hilarious
Bates guy looks like American Psycho
I agree 100%.
I just realized that Elaines' comment about being phobic of stairs was one of her "jokes." ☠
This was a good group!!!
What a bunch of nuts! 😂 Fabulous bunch of people 🎉 Very fun. ❤
The dishes in the sink would have sent me packing lol
My opinion they all picked on the black guy. My opinion
@captain darling yes
My god, I’ll take drama over these women any day. No wonder she’s single... crying over food like some fool.
Did he deliberately try to mimic Patrick Bateman?
they don't like the black guy
bullshit! Drama hates everybody! he is the one who is rude, crude and his meal was the best joke of the week! He said his meal was going to be AMAZING. BAHAHAHA. Right
Why
👌👌👌
hypocrite much... crying over fois grois
exactly, but eats meat otherwise
Oh - and BTW I'm only here because the UK versions with the wonderful Dave Lamb ran out. These versions are pretty crappy and I won't be following again - not anywhere as good! x
Jo Graham - well said. I 100% agree. The Narrator (or is it commentator) David Lamb is sooo good! Great sense of humour.
I'm Canadian and this version makes me so sad, I'd rather move to the UK just to be on the British version with David Lamb. I swear we're not all as drab and miserable as this!
.... why do they just assume he is lieing about how many siblings he has... my great grandmother was the oldest out of 14 and I am the second oldest out of 6... stuff like that happens all the time
Edit: Drama honestly holds up to his name... you don't serve a controversial dish like that to strangers
Elaine was just looking for attention when she cried because she literally ate meat every other night.
Drama is a bully and a jerk!
Drama was the only proper contestant on this episode! the rest need psychiatric help!
Never ask a someone you just met about their sexual preference.
My pet peeve is people having a list of pet peeves . People need to lighten the fuXx up and stop taking life so seriously all of the time .
We need more of it! More new shows! Please
I really do not like the commenter - is there anything positive he says? It's just rude and annoying. I think it leads to the hosts being overly insulting. If I invited people to my house and they acted like that, they wouldn't be welcome
Please stop Critiquing the food like you’re a top chef during the dinner!
Elaine the drama queen about Foie Gras "poor animal" moping fakely crying 🙄🙄blhah blah😣 but she buys for her dinner half of a beef 🐄. Acting like a pro to ruin the mood. Bad behavior no education!
She ruined the night. She needs to stop drinking so much.
Love how everything drama said was “bullshit”. But other dude could say whatever and was treated like a god.
I only like to watch these shows for the food lol
a redhead with blue shoes, pink tights and white bloomers.... i'm diggin' that !
Yeah I thought she looked amazing! 😁
I think the commentator is the best of this episode. The contestants are so lane, someone has to make the program work.
Cream room temperature butter for 3 to 5 minutes adding sugar in small amounts till blended adding eggs on at a time till incorporated. You don't just plop all the ingredients in the bowl and try to get a good result.
you guys r so rude to Dramer at least he tryed
No he didn't! His food - and kitchen - were the worst I've EVER seen!
All these hate comments to him, you’d swear he killed someone. Its unfair
Yep to the comment from Heba Omari below. I agree, the commentator is useless, I think he's missing a funny bone.
No, he's missing the accent.
what a nasty bunch of people !! love it :DD
Haha me too. Though if this happened to me I'd cry.
@@ashleym8658 When people get along its boring.
That narrator is awful. He's an insult to the British guy. Drama is NO FUN. Why bother with coming to an occasion like this and refuse to even try to have a good time.
I can't believe drama is so damn cheap to not bring a gift. He seemed miserable the entire time, I don't get why he signed up?
Dont get me wrong they ALL seem lame, but make the most out of it.
Judging from their apartment, they needed the money and he probably wanted exposure for his art. He really only disliked the two redheads.
I agree with you!! I also wondered why Drama signed up!! 👎
He is an embarrassment to the show and to Canada!
Grow up, get a job, learn to cook and stop being nasty!
How can Elaine claim to be against fois gras but eat lamb that will have been slaughtered at a couple of months old or pork that's placed in a gas chamber whilst screaming desperate to escape the gas that's burning their lungs, nose, eyes, mouth-she's being a Drama queen?!!!
Chris is really sweet. I like him.
That fringe, those people, I've never been happier to be English 😳😬😕
I'm not English but those bangs! I agree
A Portuguese farmer did prove you Can have foie gras without force-feeding geese... Also: Gordon Ramsay favoured the non force-fed... The video is on utube...
They all against that man. This shouldn't be a bully show is called Came dine with me 🤔
@captain darling they all were. Why is he getting picked on for it
The narrater cracks me up!!!! 😂🤣
Those women were just so plain awful. The only two that I liked were Christopher and Drama
Marise was pretty sweet too🥺
Good Lawd, WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN...1).
Keep him at bay?
Keep yourselves in check witches! ( not marise)
Crying over fois grais and cooking beef and eating lamb and pork! Hypocrisy
What has Drama vot to do with the animal killings? I missed something?
Marice... Elaine has already said she can't eat what it is....you tell she should try it, then tell her the horror of what they do to the poor bird, not a bright move!
How does Come Dine With Me find these people 😂😂🎉😢
Drama ... it is so sad that people like this actually exist on this earth, truly a total creep in every possible sense - your poor children!
Oh shut up drama queen
Poor Drama...soooo...not cool!! What a group of horrible humans..minus Drama!
I have seen how ducks and geese were force fed to fatten their liver for Pate, This is cruel to the animal. I do not support this practice the same as I don't support something as ridiculous as shark fin soup,
I am a meat eater but I want to know that what I eat wasn't force fed or simply killed inhumanely.
The elderly lady, or more mature, dress better than both the younger girls.
Those two red heads are so racist and overly dramatic. If they came to my home, I'll show them the door and forget this show.
At Elaine's dinner party, Marise looked like Phyllis Dilller. 😂
Elaine, your name should be Drama.
I saw strippers 25 years ago that looked better than he did! He wasn't at all attractive. She should have hired a female one too....imo
Christopher needs to either use some product in his hair or cut it. When it starts flipping up on the ends its too long.
Wait what she's a animal lover and she's eating animals wtf
wow .... Drama is a mess!
I hate the narrator/commentator!
wow what did that lady have a right to bully that man to death ?
This episode is my favorite.
She’s a stand up? Really 😂 that’s the only funny joke
