- Character study: Rumpelstiltskin - obviously SPOILERS.
Two words: Robert Carlyle. This man and his performance. He created the most complex, deep character and i just caaaan't. I honestly love Rumple to bits. With all his darkness, bitterness, rage. With all his love and care. He's fantastic. Someone who is always on the brink, torn between good and evil. He's devious and kind at the same time. There's so much more into him. So i couldn't do without a character study. I hope you gonna enjoy it.

I can't imagine anyone else playing him except for Robert.
Rumple is my favorite character in OUAT, and this shows him just as I see him: Originally a good man, with broken heart, struggling with his inner demon due to the curse he's under. Awesome video, thank you!

Robert Carlyle is just beautiful, and it shines from inside him, from the grace of his movements, from the quiet ways he moves his hands, from the depths of emotion that he shows in his eyes... His intensity just radiates from every performance, and it is truly captivating.... sigh...
Dont call him an imp he's the best character on the show I have like thousands of reasons why im just busy. with that being said RUMPLESTILTSKIN

OMG!!! How I love him sooo!!!! I love this video, amazing job. I started by having a crush on Charming but by the end of the first season I completely was taken over by feelings for Rumple's character. Robert did such an awesome job...man he can act!

That was epic. You really capture what his lives are about. It shows all the heart of rumple and the pain at the same time. This is a great character study.

I'm going back and re watching my favorite videos and I have to say this is one of your best. The song choice, the editing, all mix in perfectly for the character study. The way you begin, with his motivation for the dagger then move into what it costs him is shown beautifully. Well Done. I watch all of your videos and it was this video (because I was already familiar with RC's work) to go watch OUAT. so thank you! (There's a thanks that's 2 years overdue!)
Absoutely fabulous - I adore Robert Carlyle and his portrayal of Rumplestiltskin, and this was so well done in portraying his continual inner battle between darkness and light. Gorgeous. :)

Rumple´s character has always fascinate me, he has a history and his view point when yo carefully look at it, it is so much undestandeble than others
Once Upon a Time: the show that makes us love the bad guys, because they are not showed as bad guys, they show us their perspectives, why they do what they do and the price they pay for doing it
I love this character.. it is so different.. you get to see Rumple before, Rumple being the Dark One, Gold before and Gold/Rumple after the curse broke.. they are all so different and yet the same...It's amazing how he can play them, so you can see how he evolves into being what he is.. Love him, defenitely the best character by far!! Robert Carlyle is brilliant !

Watching this video gives me an impression that I feel I've always known, but never properly examined. That with Rumpelstiltskin, now that he has his memories back, it's hard to tell sometimes where the man ends and the Dark One begins.
This is one of the best - if not the best - character study vid out there for him...it's beautiful and emotional and captures everything and the song is perfect!!! Beautiful editing. Beautiful video. Rumplestiltskin in OUAT is the *best* representation of my favorite fairytale character ever. I remember saying to my mom as a child something along the lines of, "hey, that's not fair, the princess cheated, rumplestiltskin didn't get his child!" LMAO and I am soo happy that these people were able to collaborate and make something amazing out of him and every other wonderful character in the show. and you made an awesome video capturing him! great job! c:

This was amazing o.o. I am feeling so much. Also as soon as the song started I was "I know this song, I know this, what is it?" and then the named popped into my head I don't why it took so long I have been listening to it on my Rumbelle playlist for days.
Excellent vid. It shows Rumplestiltskin in all of his contradictions, his fears and his hopes. Robert Carlyle really made what could have been a one-note villian into a complex character.

that's the fucking FANTASTIC thing about ouat. it's like the show lost in a way because it's all about the characters and telling their story in every possible. that's what i fucking love about this show is all of the complex characters... and their past and how they came to be the way they are. especially ones like rumpelstiltskin who are just fucking fantastic.. consumed by his power, he wasn't always a bad man. he wasn't always a monster. he's a lot like regina in that way.. this is great.
