Bentonville Band marcher first year of marching and first time making finals! Great year for band all around, so many good shows that were very impressive. Going into this year we hoped to just make semis because last time we went (2021) we only got prelims so making finals was a HUGE surprise for us. Probably one of the best times ever in my opinion where you meet so many wonderful people and go into a delightful environment where everyone is having a good time and it’s all fun and games when not on the field. I love this community and hope it gets even better as time moves on.
Brownsburg Marcher here! I wish we got a better score, considering our semis was 92, which dropped 3 points, but considering the really competitive year BOA had, I’m glad we got the chance to even get into finals, because everyone at the beginning of the season didn’t think we would get into finals. I’m glad to experience 2 years in a row getting into finals.
As a tuba from Morton, not Norton, we had a great year, 18th place (school record), and I’m actually pretty happy that you recognized us from a small town in central Illinois, and if we didn’t get the 18th place that we somehow got, I would’ve most definitely taken a 21st place
I’m the lead trumpet from Rockford and i’m not gonna lie, no one in our band expected to not make semis. caught us all very off guard and was definitely confusing but it was an amazing season none the less. glad to see you think so highly of our show bc it was so much fun to play.

I believe this is their first year doing BOA and I'm surprised they hadn't already done it before, they're absolutely incredible and I wouldn't be surprised if they end up placing incredibly well.
I’m looking forward to the seeing the recaps. Based on the semifinals schedule, Dartmouth ranked top 22 overall in prelims. Even if they didn’t make finals, ranking that high is still a massive achievement.
@@jeremyquiros5483 yeah absolutely, it's really nice to see some northeastern representation in the BOA comps and I'm super proud of them for getting as far as they did. @@jemps6633 That's great that bands of their size are getting some recognition however I honestly believe the flashiness and money going into a show unfortunately often decides whether a band makes it to finals or not. Not to put down their band at all, they clearly work very hard and are a very talented group, but it helps that they have quite a bit of funding going into their program.

Yeah, I expected their visual scores to be around where they were. what shocked me is music GE. 18.9 and 19.0? thats really low for them. If they win Music GE over Avon and Carmel we’re talking about them pushing for a 97 and a far far closer final score.
