I am very happy have found your video on this subject. As someone who wishes to practice, I appreciate your thorough explanations for each position. Again, thank you. I shall be viewing this with often regularity.
Despite the YT bs, Wing Chun is very practical and yes, you learn same stuff as Krava Maga, some groundfighting, basic self defense and how to really hurt an attacker. And you do not have to be super jacked or athletic to do well. That being said, everyone should be fit as emergencies happen. Wing Chun is much harder than it looks, it is a subtle art not flashy.
Hung fist and wing chun great southern styles. Northern fist also great. Originated from India from kalaripayattu but great shaolin monks developed it for modern times and kung fu soutable for past, present, future with a great spirituality. I love China and whole Asia and Asian spiritual martial arts O
I practiced Hung gar at Wu Shu Lagny school in greater Paris region for two years. Then corona happened and we didn't come together. I enjoyed my training sessions with the teacher who was VERY good. A nice human being. I MISS HUNG GAR DAYS.
This is great thank you sifu. What is the name of this form? And which style of hung gar is this? I am currently trying to learn lam sai wing iron thread and a video with this kind of detail would be unbelievably helpful. I can't find a teacher within a couple states of me. Amituofo.
I believe you can figure the name of this set out on your own. Before studying iron wire you should learn this set here and fu hok. Practice what you have at hand, then the teacher will appear.
@@naamkuenkungfu haha yeah didn't catch you say the name the first time. But what you say makes sense. Been working on this one for a few days. I have the first section down pretty good, gonna work it for a few more days and than add in the rest. I have years of background in shotokan and boxing and some wing chun so most of the moves are familiar to me. I always tell people its like languages, get good at one and it opens the door to all the rest. I've always had a deep interest in hung gar but have never been able to find a teacher. You're literally the only one in the tube breaking it down, I really appreciate it. Its a good thing for those interested who can't afford classes or like me don't have schools. I hope some day you'll post fu hok. Thanks sifu. Amituofo!
@@naamkuenkungfu ..to train alone at home is very difficult. So i keep on searching. I do northern Wu Shu Shaolin to build my body just doing Kung Fu. But I know, this is just a station on my way. O mi to fu.
Wow thanks for posting this. I studied Hung Gar for a year over 20 years ago. I've recently wanted to remember some of the forms, and this helped to jog my memory
I do Wing Chun and want to incorporate hung gar into my style. BEFORE ANYONE ASKS FOR WING CHUN TO BE IN UFC : Tony Ferguson, Jon Jones and Anderson Silva all use textbook Wing Chun in MMA / UFC. 😁
I used to do hangar back in the day but i stopped due to financial reasons. I still remembered the stances and all that but yeah. I want to start again amd this videos made me remember some of the stuff i had learned. Thank you
Interesting and great breath/muscular exercise, like Qigong on steroids! I do think it would take awhile before you could actually fight with it, but this is my first impression. I bet new students get really sore unless they start with a very fit body.
This part of the set is mostly for conditioning, not so much for applications. However, depending on your understanding, you might be able to extract a few from the starting part of the set.

These training forms plus the horse stance are wildly similar to Jeong Jeongs teachings

Brilliant. Thank you so much for this.
I love how you can see how the Yi Jin Jing influenced this form.
AWESOME VIDEO SIFU
Thanks for your comment!!
Hi Sifu. How similar is Hung Gar to Choy Li Fut?
For every difference you see you will see one similarity.
Hi Sr, could you please tell me the name of the technique you explained to us?
