- Got to attend the @equipexposition 2023 and it was a sight to see with all of the new equipment coming to the lawn and landscape industry for the 2024 season. This video will introduce @GreenworksTV new line up of battery equipment along with new battery charging systems. This event is held annually in Louisville, KY every year. This is the 40th annual equip expo and my second year attending I had a blast at this event seeing all the new equipment. This is a very detailed video of what Greenworks has done to add to battery equipment innovation.

That fast charging cable looks proprietary. My question is, why didn't they go with a standard automotive connector (yes I know everyone's switching to NACS but at least you would have options and adapters) and then if you're out in the field and need a charge you could just stop at an automotive charger and charge up.

Do you run any greenworks now?
Nothing battery all gas. Looking into getting a smaller 21” or 30” to try out with a trimmer. Been hesitant
But equipment dealers here just one I know of had small amount of product and indicated he had issues with getting product and repairs

I demoed a GW 60" stander this past season for a couple of days. My review is that the power was exceptional and the battery capacity was definitely sufficient if you can charge at home/shop overnight. I cut roughly 14 acres of an HOA park in a little under 4 hours on the fastest blade speed and it still had >20% charge left. The cut quality is ok but not exceptional as was the striping. The speed was also very good. However, the traction and maneuverability on the stand on was terrible. It struggled to make quick turns and totally dry and level grass. Hills were a total no-go and was borderline dangerous. It also just felt extremely heavy at all times and this affected it's maneuverability and ride quality. Given the fact that they are nearly 2x the price of a traditional name-brand mower I can't see an effective business case for them at this point. The gas mowers I demoed from other brands were all far more productive in similar conditions and simply "felt" better. I wish them well because if they could match the feel and maneuverability of the other products I would happily ditch all the hassles and maintenance associated with traditional gas machines.
Any idea if you think the 32” would be the same?
I’d still consider getting it because I don’t like loud noises, gas prices, or maintenance costs, especially if I gotta leave it at the mechanic and wait for it to be ready.

Greenworks should use suitcase stye batteries in their consumer zero turn mowers like other companies do and charge it with on the mower itself.😊 Battery square shape packs are getting some.

Need a fat tire automatic cal street bike, Leagal in cal and can carry 500 pounds ,one or to people ,green is way ahead of the game keep going

This helps... but the commercial models NEED suitcase batteries, so we can switch them out every couple acres, like the residential models. Lighter equipment, is more efficient equipment. I don't understand the commercial segment's obsession with dedicated/fixed battery packs. Only municipal mowers need "all day power". Contractors can afford the 2 minute downtime of a battery swap.
Also, if they want to keep fixed big packs, they need to be readily serviceable... a couple locking pins and a transmission jack should be all that's required to remove/switch/service a large pack.
They could even offer a "swap dock" for your trailer, with a winch and slot for an additional battery/charger.

Gonna say no, Ego got the Cadillac of OPE
Greenworks is becoming the farm-equipment level though. 72" mower or the 4.3kW chainsaw are far ahead of any other OEM. EGO does not have a chainsaw bigger than 18"bar and GW is going 28". I got a 20" GW saw because I have gigantic PNW trees to process and would not consider an EGO DIY grade saw.

I have a greenworks self propelled mower and it isn't as good as the Ryobi self propelled mower I had when I bought the greenworks mower. I'll definitely go back to Ryobi products, not greenworks.

I will second that. Horrible and many others saying the same. I guess when they made their reputation they decided to screw the customer. They will be out of business soon!
I cannot argue that! One has to only wonder why a big city of 1.3 million people doesnt have a Greenworks dealer? Why none of the connecting metropolitan cities.(.many with populations over 100k or even 200k+) have a dealer? But 30+miles away in a town of 31k people or about the same distance in a different direction you have about 45k people, they have a dealer. And neither of the dealers speak highley of the GW program. If there even is such a thing.
I am resigned to think that GW is a company that has designers, creators, etc. that come up with ideas of anything that can be imagined "battery powered" and then they design the products. After that how massed produced or availiable for the market are they really? Who knows?
Soooo getting noticed at a landscape expo with ALL the pretty shiny green equipment is great, but that "feel good" spirit can quickly fade when you try to seek.just the most basic of concerns with these folks.

I've got an electric john deere. It uses an engine to charge it back up so I can start the tractor up everytime. Just like the tesla customers in California using a Honda generator to charge their battery on the go. 😄 🤣 😂
How long have you owned it?
It's a x700 series tractor. Owned it 2 years. It works great. Not 100% electric since the battery that starts the tractor is the only thing electric about it.
