Preston, I am surprised you haven't mentioned Taena's story of her dark and dangerous lover whom shares qualities with Oberyn Martell. Dark, dangerous, shoulder-length black hair. It would not be a stretch for him to have been a "sea captain" as he traveled from Dorne to the free cities extensively. Hey Preston, don’t know if you’ll see this comment, but I’m curious about House Ambrose and their ties to the Hightowers. The founder of the Hightowers is Uthor, named after Uther Pendragon. Uther had an older brother named Ambrosius Aurelianus or anglicized as Ambrose Aurelian. Also who is the current head of the family, it’s Arthur Ambrose. Giving a clear connection between the Arthurian legends and House Ambrose.
Also Arthur is married to a Hightower named Alysanne, giving a connection to the Good Queen herself. Together Arthur and Alysanne have Alyn who was mentioned in the video. So, overall, does House Ambrose have some sort of importance narratively or historically in Ice and Fire?
There's reason to believe that the Hightowers and Daynes are descendents of the Great Empire of the Dawn (who were 100% dragon riders) migrated east from the empire and landed on south western Westeros. It may be that House Ambrose was part of this migrating group as well, hence the Arthurian connection?
I know it's not really related, but anyone else wonder what part the exiled Summer Islander will play? He's been mentioned consistently since book 1, so I can't bring myself to believe he's just a random nobody. Just curious if anyone had any theories.

Im betting that the stormlands native probably at least once went to storms end and walked along its beaches, perhaps he remembers something?
I don’t think there’s any mystery over which twin will inherit. It’s which ever one was born first Circe said as much in one of her chapters referring to how she would be the heir over Jaimie because she came into the world first
Well of course she tells herself that :) How does one do that when the twins look the same? Does the midwife marks the one who's first? Can't there be a switch? What is stopping one twin to kill the other one and proclaim itself the heir twin? But it's mentioned in previous video, twins as heirs were usually a problem for a ruler, even in real history.
@@ShannonCarter55 Nah, there's a lot of great character art on the wiki. Even Amok's art is preferable to the cartoons that the Mico does, even if it's low res.
The thing I'm not getting is, how could the Redwyne twins be sniffing around any of the Tyrell cousins, especially Margery, without the knowledge and sanction of The Queen Of Thorns, herself a Redwyne? She's the most expert wielder of feminine power in the story, incredibly knowledgeable and connected, with a stake in both ends of the game. Although bringing in Euron means...well I'm hoping the shrouded lord will throw in some glass candle shit. Otherwise we just have a theory about a scheming manipulator.
Fantastic stuff as always Preston
Really loving the topic & series so far, thanks sir
BACK!!!
Great work Papa Preston!
GRRM PLANNED IT ALL
I love this topic! Thank you
Get to the Myrish swamp part!!
Per usual, excellent work
Wow, I've been thinking about Euron the whole time and at the ending: EURON
liked in the first couple secs, lol my love for you preston
Mr. Jacobs, is it possible for you to make a video about NotABlog posts of GRRM, two recent ones where he said he completed six chapters in a month?
I know it's not really related, but anyone else wonder what part the exiled Summer Islander will play? He's been mentioned consistently since book 1, so I can't bring myself to believe he's just a random nobody. Just curious if anyone had any theories.
Please do a series on Dragonstone, Loras and Aurane Waters! I call it the Dragonstone Conspiracy!
and people wonder why it takes G.R.R.M to write each ASOIAF book.
Seriously. Why do people complain when I don't think 99% of readers pick up on everything that's going on.
@Karl Bush George has said he won't let anyone finish it, and its because people don't understand the structure and symbolism he infuses everything with.
You saying shit like that shows how entitled and ignorant you are.
You don't have to read the books.
But you watched a show based on books the show runners didn't even underfuckingstand and now your grouchy because they didn't understand what he was doing, and did a piss poor job of ending the character and story arcs that George has spent the last 20+ years meticulously crafting.....
11:06 How about, Prince Duncan the Small?
Anyone else have to watch these videos several times to try understanding what's going on?
Saved my Weekend.
Yasssss so excited for this!!!!
Love you Preston
Do you always find small details in the books and make a theory out of it? Is your next video gonna be how the kingsguard are compared to the Others?
Yesssss love these theory videos!!
based on Cerce's and her family patererntut ussues, I think Joffrey is actually Kevin's kid. Thats why in his chapter he thought Cerce was so hot, its always his dig when she threw wine in his face was about paternity, and it was why he cared about her sleeping with lancet , and why cerce thought Kevin would be more likely to help her, and why of course he wouldn't, and why Cerce was blind to that, who else took advantage of cerce's "Goode nature"
I swear, without Preston I wouldn't understand any of this damn story.
when davos landed melesandre through storms end to kill the garrison commander, remember how the gate was rusted and old, as well as nobody was guarding it? Stannis only stationed 200 men to guard a massive castle, if they are under assualt from the walls will anybody be guarding it, escpecially on a notoriously foggy knight or dark storm when they dont think anybody could slip through? Im betting that the stormlands native probably at least once went to storms end and walked along its beaches, perhaps he remembers something?
Theory: Cersei and Taena images foreshadow the comeback of the reviewer gang with new faces!
Fk I love rewatching these old gems. I really need to do a CK3 AGOT as Paxter!!
I don’t think there’s any mystery over which twin will inherit. It’s which ever one was born first Circe said as much in one of her chapters referring to how she would be the heir over Jaimie because she came into the world first
It’s a mystery in as much as the reader has no current knowledge of which Redwyne twin was born first
Actually it doesn't matter Jamie was born after Cersei and he would have been the heir because he's a male
@@wisdommanari6701 In Cersei's mind she should have been male. In this brain exercise Cersei is kind of assuming she would have been born male
Well of course she tells herself that :)
How does one do that when the twins look the same? Does the midwife marks the one who's first? Can't there be a switch? What is stopping one twin to kill the other one and proclaim itself the heir twin?
But it's mentioned in previous video, twins as heirs were usually a problem for a ruler, even in real history.
That scetch of Margaery looks like she has her knees tucked into her blouse.
The first time I read the books I didn't think of all these things.... ;)
Why do those Sersei and Jaime drawing have blue eyes? Also that blue bard us rather colorful.
Because the artist is awful
@@AK-sn5wx Yeah I don't really like this artist. But no one else has really drawn these characters well.
I am dumbfounded to think that a Myrenese and someone as contemptuous of feminine power as Cersei could outmanuver Olena Tyrrell.
I totally agree. Soooo, that must mean that Olena *does* know, as, if it's legitimately happening, she sanctioned it herself 🕶
Yeeeeees more theories!!
Preston, do I hear an imitation of the way Roy Dotrice does Taena's accent in your reading?
I was never so early in my life
