Hey Jeff! You nailed it, there are albums that warrant special attention, like 'WYWH'. Turn down the lights, smoke 'em if you got 'em, put on the headphones, and sink into the couch. Thanks for the shout out! 'SBS', I can remember going to record store the day it was released, and I saw them on that tour. We also played "Killing Yourself to Live" in my band. Big, big album for me. I have 7 of these. Bring on your top 10!
Thanks Steve! I wish you had some of those old recordings of your band. Your set list sounds pretty amazing. Yes is another classic headphone band. I bet the SBS tour was out of this world. What a time to be alive!
Killer video Jeff! Awesome section of your list, and thanks for the shoutout! A few of these will be making an appearance on my list as well! Cheers to you brother 👍🤘🤘
Another fantastic installment. Doors debut is 🔥! Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was a great progression. You described WYWH perfectly. And same with Close to the Edge. You make me want to listen to all these albums. Christ! I forgot Revolver. I’m not entirely sure anymore but for years this was my favorite Beatles album. Sticky Fingers is perfection. Hooray for Jeff!
Great video, brother! I absolutely love that Cure album. You’re right about all of the different styles on Kiss Me. Shout, shout, let it all out! Got to have the Beatles in this video! Wish You Were Here is amazing. I love Welcome To The Machine too! That Sabbath album kicks ass. Love that Yes album. Can’t argue with that Stones album🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
I'd heard "Shine On" on the radio before, and liked it. But it wasn't til I got the album, and did pretty much what you did - listened to it while laying on my bed, lights out, nothing but the music - that I fell in love with it and the rest of WYWH. It remains my favorite Floyd album. Maybe there are better ones, but I don't have the time to listen to an album in uninterrupted silence anymore!
Revolver! So good, though I'm not a Doctor Robert fan. I still have never heard Songs From the Big Chair in its entirety. Wish You Were Here hasn't caught on for me either haha. Maybe one day.
An excellent list once again . Yes , Revolver was amazing to hear in 1966 , when I was 13 years old . As great as it is , it's not my favourite , but more about that next time . Here's my 20 - 11 list : Bruce Springsteen : Darkness on the Edge of Town Chicago Transit Authority : Chicago Transit Authority Joni Mitchell : Court & Spark Stevie Wonder : Innervisions Santana : Abraxas Bob Dylan : Blood on the Tracks Neil Young : Harvest Elvis Costello : This Year's Model Dire Straits : Making Movies The Who : Who's Next Thanks !!
Fun fact: I’m 50 & have never bought a Beatles or Stones album in my life (yet at least😂) Agree with you on the Cure album comparison. Disentigration while great can wear. That album would probably be top 10 but near the bottom of it. Great your son wore that Sabbath album shirt. I’m pretty sure these days it’s accepted. Back in my middle school days I’m pretty certain I would’ve got kick out of school 😂 Sabbath were pretty unfashionable at that time(1984) it was all about Dokken Motley VH or Maiden. And then you had the new wavers too. I didn’t give a fuck. I loved Sabbath still and was proud of it. 👍🏻. Now most everyone loves them. And it credit the grunge era for Sabbath finally being given their due… Back to Beatles and Stones. I respect them but never bothered. Seemed their songs were all over the radio wasn’t sure what’s the point was to buy. I prefer the Who and the Kinks tbh. Anyways. Great video. Happy Day to all
Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me , has 2 of my favorite Cure songs The Snakepit & If Only Tonight We Could Sleep. The Doors 🚪 first is my favorite as well. Love that Pink Floyd wrote a song about Syd Barret after the success of Dark Side. They were sad he wasn't along for the ride.
Hi Jeff!! this one was a very eclectic and cool one from Tears for Fear --> the cure --> Floyd --> the Stones --> Yes --> Sabbath. To me my favorite BS album has to be "Master of Reality". Maybe you should do a series "Album you have to listen with Headphones", lol....... cheers and be well
Eclectic why? They are all Rock bands, for the most part, with a career spanning over 40 years. Eclectic would be if he put Hip-Hop/Rap, Jazz, R&B, etc. Just a normal old man's list.

Thanks Aaron! I hope we get treated to your list soon. Would love to see your top 100.
Another fantastic installment. Doors debut is 🔥! Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was a great progression. You described WYWH perfectly. And same with Close to the Edge. Thanks Gary! Revolver is a solid choice for number one. Probably not too many surprises left from here on out. I’m pretty predictable. 🤣
Love that your sabbath has a super saver sticker
Great video, brother!

Thanks Chris! I almost had Disintegration on my list but I like Kiss Me quite a bit more. Wish You Were Here is such a killer album.
Got to love wish you were here

That’s so true, I would love to have uninterrupted time with my favorite albums but it’s not reality most days.
Revolver! So good, though I'm not a Doctor Robert fan. I still have never heard Songs From the Big Chair in its entirety. Wish You Were Here hasn't caught on for me either haha. Maybe one day.
Thanks Sam! I totally get that Wish You Were Here is an acquired taste. 😉
An excellent list once again .

Santana : Abraxas
Bob Dylan : Blood on the Tracks
Neil Young : Harvest
Elvis Costello : This Year's Model

That first Chicago album is a classic. Blood on the Tracks almost made my list. Who’s Next might be making an appearance on mine soon…

Haha, even if you never buy a Beatles or Stones album you are guaranteed to hear the music somewhere with some regularity.
Aaron rules great video
Yes he does and thank you
Fantastic series bro
Thanks bro
Nice shirt

And crazy that an unrecognizable Syd turned up at the studio while they were recording Shine On!

@@Stifler4220 because that's my opinion. Have a nice day
Thanks Cristian! I appreciate you watching this old man’s video, 😂
No need to apologize on the cure but I do love both albums
I love tears for fears
If you’re a Cure fan you have to say that Seventeen Seconds, Faith or Pornography is your favorite album.
And bonus points if you pick Pornography
Love that your sabbath has a super saver sticker
