    It’s one of the reasons when I read reviews online of anything I ONLY read the 1 star reviews.
    No company would be caught dead paying someone to leave a 1 star review..
    So I read the negatives.. this tells me 3 things:
    1: If the 1 star reviews are actually legitimate, or if they are from idiots who can’t tell shite from shinola.. ie: “instructions were hard, they should have used smaller words!! 1 star!”
    2: if there are actual problems with a product or not. If person after person complains about a specific thing.. likely that specific thing has a legitimate issue
    3: prevents me from reading paid reviews.. anyone can ohhh and ahhh over how good something is.. especially if they are paid to do so.. but telling something legitimately wrong with a product and giving it 1 star.. weeds out a company paying for that review

      @@TheLastHonestInfluencer it really does help far more than reading any five star reviews…
      I actually learned this lesson back in 2006 when there were far fewer reviews online anyways, but I was looking for a hotel for a vacation and one of the hotels had a one star review that said “hotel only has 500 thread count sheets! if I stay in a hotel, it’s got to have at least 1000 thread count sheets”. 1 ⭐️
      Wish I was making that up. 😂
      But it was a valuable lesson in review reading for me that I use to this day!

    It’s now to the point where we need reviewers who review reviewers to know who is just full of 💩 or not.
    Though like this lady.. they aren’t academy award winning actors, so it’s really quite easy to tell..
    Though it’s nothing new, it’s certainly a lot more prominent.
    I remember when one of the big UA-cam photographers swapped to another brand of camera all of a sudden and produced a “why I swapped” video.. this was probably 7 or 8 years ago.. and it was a 20 minute long commercial for the new brand he “decided was better”
    You could tell he was just regurgitating what the company told him to say and then he tried to mix in some “personal experiences” as proof and they were so weak and flimsy that i felt like I was taking crazy pills.. nobody seemed to see through it like I did.
    What would probably work out better for these companies is to hire a good actor for a long con.. have them do seemingly normal reviews for 6 months to a year and when they finally got to their own product.. the acting would be believable because they would be good at acting! 😂.
    The long Con ShillTuber would go down in history as the most epic one of them all..

    I bought a cheap air fryer a couple of years ago (I think about £30 - £40) but only started using it earlier this year, and now I use it far more than I use my normal oven. Firstly because being far smaller, it uses less energy, and also because it cooks the food faster. It's only a single-drawer so does not take up much room, but was thinking of buying something bigger. If I do, it will not be a Ninja, they are too expensive for what they do. There are loads of different air fryers on the market that perform just as good as a Ninja but cost less than 1/2 the price.

    To be fair. Ninja is one of the best when Not the best for air fryer.
    I am from Germany and our public TV channels ( the are neutral and totally neutral because there only money comes from taxes and they are under strong control )
    Are testing all big air fryers which you can buy in Germany. Phillips, tefal, WMF, Ninja and some more.
    The ninja was the best in all categories.
    Don’t get me wrong. They are not perfect or magic. It is a perfect and cheap alternative to a classic oven and a classic Fryer with oil and fat.
    I don’t understand your hate. Yes the most reviews in the internet are not neutral but at the end the ninja air fryers are one of the bests and not totally overpriced.

    • @TheLastHonestInfluencer
      @TheLastHonestInfluencer  Місяць тому

      Who doesn’t hate getting ripped off and bamboozled? If you think ANY public tv channel reviewing air fryers is neutral you must have been born yesterday. What a joke. You can’t be serious.
      People defend Ninja with a cultish devotion and ferocity. It’s so bizarre. Buying a Ninja appliance is like joining Scientology.
      They aren’t any better than the other brands. But they have a fiendishly effective marketing strategy I’ll give them that.
      Make an honest review on a ninja product offering your unbiased opinion and you will see and understand.
      Ninja is not the best air fryer. It’s basic technology, it’s just a coil heating element and a fan. There is nothing special about ninja other than marketing…and that’s what you’re paying for when you buy a ninja. The name. And a bad one at that.

      Bro. I think you misunderstood me.
      Could be because of my English. It's not my mother tongue.
      I agree with you. Most reviews are bought and fake, I also agree with you that their product is not perfect or magical as many claim.
      As I said, our German public TV program compared all the hot air fryers you can buy here in Germany. These TV stations are absolutely neutral and do not accept any money from companies or anyone else. They are strictly controlled and therefore serve as a good source for such comparisons.
      The biggest brands here, such as Tefla and Phillips, were represented in the test.
      Not only the final result was compared, but also aspects such as price performance
      power consumption, advertising appearance, fairness and build quality (in the laboratory).
      At least in the final result, the ninja hot air fryer was one of the best, I think even the best.
      They are solid products and at least as good as the competition, that's just a fact and that's what I wanted to say.
      It is logical and not uncommon in the industry that not every advertising promise is kept.
      As I said, they are not perfect products, but they are a cheap and quick alternative to a normal oven and a normal fryer.
      Nobody expects more from them than from a normal convection oven with a little more power (because of the small space).
      Especially here in Europe, these deep fryers are very popular because, on the one hand, electricity prices have risen massively and a hot air fryer requires much less electricity and, on the other hand, because it fits in with the current healthy diet of many people. It is simply healthier to cook with it than with a normal deep fryer where you need oil and fat.
      I don't quite understand the hype in America.
      Your electricity is much cheaper, you have huge kitchens and ovens and this healthy lifestyle is not as prevalent as it is here.

      Thanks for your comment man. Whenever I get long intense comments on my ninja videos I’m always suspicious. I review a plethora of products…the ONLY videos I get comments like this on are the ninja reviews. It’s very, very unusual. You seem like a genuine guy so I’ll leave yours. Sorry for getting defensive. When I first made a ninja review the comments were incredibly rude and personally offensive so now I go on the counter attack immediately. Anyways, guten abend!

      No problem at all. I understand what you mean. I've also seen a lot of reviews and I've noticed that most of them are bought. Nevertheless, I ordered a Ninja speedi 2 days ago because it was on offer and I'm excited. At first I wanted a normal hot air fryer, but the speedi was too cheap on offer. Unfortunately, I only saw your review after ordering.
      I'm a bit scared now, but in the worst case scenario I'll send the device back and get my money back. In Germany, fortunately, this is quite simple and well regulated by law. I've often done this with various devices.
      I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how the Speedi turns out.
      The main reason for the purchase was that according to many it is perfect for my diet (rice, chicken, vegetables etc.) and above all I no longer dirty pots and pans. I hate cleaning them. With the speedi, everything is supposedly quicker to wash. Electricity consumption was also important to me. My stove needs a lot more electricity and, as I said, in Germany a kwh currently costs 30-40 cents. As a single student, such an appliance from ninja is perfect.

  • @zatoichi188
    @zatoichi188 2 місяці тому +1

    They are better than ovens if you're only cooking a single thing, cheaper to run, don't have to preheat, usually quicker cooking times and they're not all $300.

    • @TheLastHonestInfluencer
      @TheLastHonestInfluencer  2 місяці тому +1

      But we’re talking about this Ninja Air Fryer. And I’ve used it, it needs to preheat. It’s not a microwave. It’s not ‘cheaper to run’ when you factor in the cost of it, it still uses a lot of electricity.
      If we are talking about a $50 toaster oven that does the same thing then you have a point. Cooking a single thing in a $50 unit makes more sense than a giant oven. But any way you angle it, the ninja air fryer is a con.
