  • At #SuperNintendoWorld in #UniversalStudiosHollywood we try all the power up bands, key challenges and we ride Mario Kart: Bower’s Challenge utilizing Rider Swap because we are doing Super Nintendo World WITH KIDS. We use the Universal Studios app to get a virtual queue for Super Nintendo World and then we try to get a reservation for Toadstool Cafe. Guys, if we can’t get into Toadstool Cafe for lunch, what will we eat? And is this kid-friendly or will we get hangry and frustrated with the activities? Come with us to see the Piranha Plant Snooze, the Thwomp Key Challenge and the secret staircase that is one of my top tips for Universal Studios California with Kids!
    Want to know why we eat this way? Let us introduce ourselves! • Meet the Travelers!

    No strollers in that area is an excellent move by Universal. It's a brand new area that will likely be crowded most of the time so it doesn't need to be cluttered up with a bunch of strollers taking up space. People can bring those kids when they are old enough walk on their own.

      It’s a small area and I totally understand the reasoning. It was still surprising since most areas are fairly stroller friendly (if you don’t count the bazillions of escalators. 😂)

    Would you suggest trying to hit Nintendo world first then go up to the rest of the park?

    • @FiveHungryTravelers
      @FiveHungryTravelers  5 місяців тому

      When we were there it was always maxed out on capacity no matter what time of day. There was an option to pay for early entry and if you want to spend the money that would definitely help you get things done before the crowds hit. But I don’t think it’s quite as wild as it was when it first opened. The one reason I would choose to go first thing is to be done in time for lunch since there is only one food option within that land. Have fun!!

    Hi there, have one question. Do we need to buy the power band or that’s optional?

    • @FiveHungryTravelers
      @FiveHungryTravelers  Рік тому

      It’s totally optional and I’ve heard some families skip it but the mini games around the land require it and it’s really the primary activity in the land (besides the one ride and one cafe… and maybe some character photos). I’d recommend going for it.

    How much were the bands?

    • @FiveHungryTravelers
      @FiveHungryTravelers  3 місяці тому

      They were $40 each. Kind of pricey but we hope to use them again when the new one opens in Florida! And they work as an amiibo on Nintendo Switch so that’s a fun little bonus.

    Thanks for your review! One question about the Mario Kart ride, is there any height restriction? We have a 3 year old toddler, but I'm thinking it might be too stimulating/ loud for him. Edit: Ah I saw the part where your little guy was waiting outside. :) We might do parent swap, like go through the line together to view all the decorations and have one parent take the little one outside.

    • @FiveHungryTravelers
      @FiveHungryTravelers  Рік тому +1

      Yes, it’s a 40” heigh requirement so our 2 1/2 yr old waited it out. They have a swap set up where one adult goes through the line and the other has a slip of paper to return and ride, skip the line, once the first person is done. It works well and you still walk through all the details of the line, just at a faster pace. Have fun!!

    No strollers?! Is there a reason why?

    • @FiveHungryTravelers
      @FiveHungryTravelers  Рік тому +1

      They didn’t say but it is a really small land so I imagine with strollers and the crowds things could actually get dangerously congested (or at the very least, frustrating) if there were a bunch of strollers inside. It’s still a bummer for us families that need them.
