Something this 1up store is lacking are the omiyage treats, tins, and boxes from Japan's Super Nintendo World. That's pretty disappointing, but I guess it makes sense; we definitely have less of a gift giving culture here in the states.

Yes, they do have a Chef Toad plush! It's cute too. If you really want to spend time and do the Bowser Jr. and other challenges, though, I'd recommend getting a band. You can actually pick up used ones on Facebook Marketplace cheap in Los Angeles before you go.

I didn't see those when I was in Japan last year, but I don't really bring home omiyagi (snacks in tins) usually. One of my favorites was a stack of Butterbeer gummies in tin boxes they had in Japan but never sold in the US, but they don't carry them anymore at USJ.
I assume your gold mario band works despite being from Japan? I ask because the donkey kong bands are going to be in Japan later and I wonder if they'd work in the California park too!

There's a price premium for sure, but not crazy if you really want one. They're not like 200 bucks or anything. But you'll probably be fine regardless.

Yeah, omiyage is definitely an Asian thing. Not much of a culture to bring that back to other family/friends in Oklahoma.

@@onmas909 it does, but they still the gold Mario ones in Hollywood now anyways. I'm nearly certain the Donkey Kong ones will too.

I got my gold band in Japan and they still have them there. You're probably safe but they're not too expensive on Ebay if you really want to be sure.
