Go in middle of winter way less people
If you're there just before opening: Harry Potter ride will be a walk-on, shortcut out of Harry Potter land to Simpsons for a 10-15 minute wait (will only get longer), see if everything is open in Lower Lot, if yes then go bang out all 3 rides (Mummy single rider, then cut through the lockers back to Single rider for multiple rides since the ride is so short), Studio Tour. Waterworld then go get a Pink's chili cheese dog combo at Citywalk and come back and do kiddy rides, shows before they're gone, re-rides, etc.
my tips (GO DURING THE WEEK)
1. Arrive there early
2. Go to lower lot first
3. Go back up and do the studio tour
4. Explore Wizarding World
5. Do everything else 💀💀
the first 4 are the top !! everything else you can do as you please
1 day will ne enough or we need 2 days?
@Andreas Yuniman With the new Nintendo World area I would do 2 days, as you will be at least 3 hrs exploring that area.

It’s usually really sunny/hot in the afternoon for the studio tour. I’d preferably suggest people go right at sunset.

I just went there last weekend … on a Sat, I arrived there at 12pm…. The first ride I got on was the Harry Potter ride and which was the longest line … i waited about 30 minutes to get on but when I got off this lady walked up to me and my daughter gave us about 7 express pass tickets… which was heaven sent … as it made everything so much smoother. Also they consider one ticket for two people so me and my daughter were able to ride some rides twice. This place is expensive… bring your own food or eat before or after going … water bottles are about $5. Also if you do the Mario world make sure you have the patience and the time … things are not labeled so you will be really confused. Other than that great place to visit.

Hi i hope you have a fun time with your husband! One tip that I like is that is if you can get it express, it is probably the best deal they have! It will save you so much time! I got the unlimited which means you get to go to thru the express line as many times as you want! and every line time is less then 10 minutes! (I went on a weekend)😁

A good tip to save you on parking! Do not park at the Universal Parking. Instead, just park by the Metro Station and you'll only pay $3 for parking for the entire day. And you can just go over a walkway that goes across the street to the shuttle buses and you can just ride the shuttle bus up to the front entrance

Agreed on the weekend one. I have year passes and we only go on the weekdays. Even days where the park closes early at 6pm, it's still super worth going cause those are the days where no one goes.

Hi we are coming for first time from Australia. Unfortunately the few days that we will be in LA is week of thanksgiving and I have heard it is really busy. As I can not change when we will be in LA, do you have a recommendation on which day to choose that week? We will be leaving day after thanksgiving. Also looking to go to Disneyland so trying to work out what will work. We have Monday to Thursday before leaving LA Friday. Thanks

How far is the studio tour tram from the front gate?
these are my tips
1. come to the park early like when it opens
2. first ride in universal should be harry potter because of you going early
3. always make sure you don’t lose anything
4. if you’re too sick too go on rides don’t go on it
5. go to thriller rides and don’t be scared
6. eat good
7. have so much fun
also book a hotel
and get a express pass
don't drink too much water, you paid for fun, not kill your time and fun in restroom.

Everyone went to Super Mario World opening morning, while all the transformer ride and everything was only 5-10 minutes! I should have done those first because Mario Kart was always 2 hour wait regardless throughout the day but other rides increased to hour too... Big mistake... But Single Rider pass is awesome... I went on Transformers ride like instantly with that option later in the day, even though it said 40 minutes and I still got to ride it next to my family.
I am planning to skip the Mario kart first and play the Harry Potter one first 😅, it is way less people in the morning but will see

i have always wanted to walk the backlot but I am going on a Monday and already booked early access to Mario land.
trying to decide if the VIP is gonna be a waste of cash since I have done all the rides many times but Nintendo land.

Me and my family going for the studio tour first hand and having to wait almost an hour with fast pass
I personally don’t like doing the lower lot first. So many people head to the lower lot first because of jurassic.
No, everyone heads over to lower level because of Super Nintendo World.
I went straight down to the lower lot when I first entered the park. I was able to ride Jurassic World, the Mummy, and Transformers in less than an hour

What about buying express in April when spring break usually happens?
The ride will be excluded from express for awhile...I have a platinum pass and even my express is excluded for ride...the good thing is when reservations needed for Nintendo land, I can still get in....but express won't be available for this ride for awhile....
Can you do one for 2023? I'm going there in the end of March for 1 day.

The escalators are a ride in itself.
I bought the 9 month pass back in May. Hopefully Mario Land opens up before it expires

try getting a disability pass if you cant do single rider
For super Mario world. If with a group go as a single rider we waited in single rider for 30 mins and still sat together vs 2 hours

Dang. I purchased one for Thursday in early Dec and decided to get the +100 express pass, now I learn about single riders. Oh well. I got reimbursed for the cost anyway with cash back. But everything else I’m def following to a T 😊. Thanks for the info!

Hey I’m going in December I didn’t really picked the dates my sister lives near LA I live hawaii with my 2 kids n husband. Sister invited us to stay with them for holidays so I thought we have to go see Harry Potter world because both my kids love Harry Potter ( ideally I would have chosen sept/Oct weekday but didn’t really choose dates) were only flying a week and arrive on the 29th we don’t want to go on the 1st or New Year’s Eve so it leaves us only Dec 30th because after the 1st I understand the park isn’t holiday themed anymore and I thought it would be worth it to see Harry Potter world all Christmas decorated? So we’re thinking the 30th of December which is a Saturday 😩😩😩 I’m preparing for the worst my kids are too young to do the rides so we aren’t planning on doing any but there’s probably still attractions? Do you think express pass is a must? It’s $289 on that date versus $149 for regular pass… since we aren’t doing any rides but maybe would like to see a grinch show or some of Jurassic park attractions. Anyone else went holiday weekend ?
Don’t do express with so few rides. Especially during winter. You’ll be fine

Some of them are unavoidable. I have to go on the weekend because of work. I cannot take advantage on single rider most of the time because I am going with my wife.
Haven’t gone there since harry potter opened going tomorrow with the fam i think we start with the tour that’s out tradition when we use to go the tour is a must imo
