We got a chance to take the MY18 Holden Colorado for spin. However, this one has been tuned and shes putting out a little more power than Holden intended. These duramax engines are a very impressive power plant.

I have a stock LTZ and yeah the power is impressive unless it's raining lol. Hi range 4x4 at the lights in the wet is very amusing alongside small Euro hatches!
We noticed the same thing hahah.
I have a 2015 extra cab coli and your not wrong she’s stock and still gives a lot of cars a run for there money haven’t had a ranger or hilux come close don’t even have to mention land cruisers or patrols they don’t stand a chance love it and can’t wait to get a remap ps is the 6s auto running 31s on the alloy 17inch rims chaser bullbar iron man side steps and one of those fibreglass work canopies you would see on a coles express cars
I had my one tuned exhaust, full weight with bullbar /winch canopy etc +30 injectors 166rwkw through the auto 0-100 in 7.9 on the dragy app. They go pretty well for little 2.8's
I can not get my head around that... haha. So quick for such a big car. I'd say with your injectors and exhaust probably a much better setup than this one. Did cost much to get yours all set up?
@@ZeroTo60TubeOriginally I just did the tune and exhaust but when I was pasted by my mates v6 amarok I did the injectors and we were pretty much neck and neck ( obviously his was stock) I think around 4 grand all up. Good bang for buck considering people spend thousands doing up thier utes.
What do you mean by injectors, what sort modification is that?
@@HotHeadCJ larger injectors mate to allow for more fuel to be pumped in
such an underrated car.. 👍🏻

Hi guys. I’m interested to know more about the tune you had done on the car. I have a 2020 Colorado.
I have a stock 2017 LS auto Colorado which can spin the wheels in high range 4WD while accelerating from a set of traffic lights without a tune . It's a really fun ute to drive .
My only gripe has been the seats on longer trips, but a nice set of sheepskin seat covers have made a huge improvement in comfort.
I paid 33k for mine brand new, it definitely offers great value for money compared to any of the other base model 4WD utes on the market at the moment.
How did you manage 33k new, I got a second hand (LS 4wd auto) one last week a 2019 model with 21,000ks on the clock for 28.5k and I thought that was a great price, nice all round vehicles specially if you're towing a caravan 👍

I'm about to sign a contract for 2019 MY20 LTZ auto 4wd for $35,200 with a tow bar and leather trim package (ex demo, 17 kilometers on the clock). If you're patient there are some amazing deals to be had. For anyone else reading this and wanting to finance a new car, Get gap insurance and AVOID IN HOUSE FINANCE !!
@@Adrian-qc7ky Mr Bargain Hunter, yes great deals out there and maybe if we get a recession with this virus the bargains may get better...if you're thinking about a canopy for the Colorado have a look at the Karuna tradesman I uploaded a video on it great product👍
2015 stock as a rock 2.8ltr and has good power. Looking at doing the tune, did this one have an exhaust or any other mods or just the tune?.

I've got a stock 2014 LTZ Storm and it pulls like a freight train even up hills.

We genuinely couldn't believe it. All stock hardware on a massive dual cab ute, being pushed by a little ol 4 cylinder. Its a great bit of kit.
Hi! Does anybody know if you can swap the engine of a stock VF 3.6 v6 into a RG Colorado LTZ? I'd love to know, thanks
Unless you were putting the gearbox from the vf aswell i don't think so, as you can't manual swap a factory auto or auto swap a factory manual to an auto due to the blocks

This was done with a vbox sport. It’s an app and device. Quite expensive. Would recommend a dragy if you’re just having some fun timing cars.
