I have been following you on this channel as you know for quite some time and the progress you have made in the structure and production of your videos is phenomenal. The information you impart in every video is well researched and presented with an impeccable voice-over that keeps the viewer's attention for the duration of the video while enjoying the many creative camera angles ( the roof hatch view just one example). Your previous video (Orana fest) on which I haven't commented is one of your best and indicates to me your talent for documentary style videos if you choose to produce one in the future.
Thank you so much John, I really appreciate how much you admire my videography. I am very proud of how my channel has grown into what it is today, and I certainly wasn’t expecting it to grow this large, nor was I expecting high-quality cinematic footage from myself. I like to keep my videos a mix of commentary and videography all in one, so that other enthusiasts can get their fix of both the vehicle’s history and footage of the vehicle itself and the noise it makes. I thoroughly research every vehicle I travel on in order to provide and redistribute as much information as possible, and much of what I say is already my own knowledge. I am very proud of my Orana fest video, and you can expect more high quality transport content in the future. Thanks so much for your encouragement throughout the growth of my channel John, it certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed 😊
@coolsoap8 I certainly look forward to future videos and I am not at all surprised with the quality of your videos because I recognised your talent for videography some time ago and I remember saying as such when I first met you in person with your dad. My interest in young people is to encourage and support them in their endeavours to succeed in life through their hobbies and eventual careers. You also contribute to this through your channel with many young people looking up to you and wanting to follow in your footsteps in the transport community.
Tbh most Oranas sound pretty mid (the low floor ones at least). It’s not a surprise for a bus from 1998 to have a loud gearbox and engine. Thanks for watching
I don’t think so, I’m pretty sure almost all of the National spec ones (at least the Hunter based ones) have been either sent for long term storage at Edgeworth, used for part at Foundry Rd depot or have been scrapped at Morisset 😞
Yes you are correct, the Westbus spec ones are mostly at Dural with 7518 at Northmead. However, the ex QLD ones are elsewhere… 8442 is at St Marys, 8444 is at Halloran and 8446 is either at St Marys or Terrey Hills.
Had a really nice time with you today !
That 0405 Sounds Stunning
It sure does! Definitely the best CDC 550 in my opinion.

Great video on my favourite 550!
Thank you! 7357 is my favourite too, followed by 7518, 7520, 7359 and 7543 (as of 23/11/24). I’m glad you enjoyed it!

@ i have a quick question
Is 3420 coming to busfest tommorow?
@@MrAnsairDudeno but 3406 will be
@ 3420 might come we don’t know
@ the trbs somehow sound more zf like even though I think the trbs and crls have the same engine lol
I am fairly sure that there is still one O405 at cdc’s singleton depot that still gets used in service

7518 is the only one at Northmead Depot at the moment rest are all at Dural Depot.
