Michelle It’s so amazing to see Afro-textured hair in all its glory like this! Videos like this make so so excited lol. There might be a few others with even longer hair!
(Efficientlynatural) another youtuber did a length check video over a year ago and at the time she was pushing 30 inches so I’m sure it’s a lot longer now. Her videos are sooooo informative.
Then there’s (herlucidsky) who shares her pictures from transitioning days to now on the Fotki blog. Last December she did a length check and measured around 36 inches so she’s probably one of the longest I’ve ever seen. She’s very modest when measuring so I’m sure she’s at least 40 inches by now if she hasn’t cut/trimmed her hair.
The Quann twins. TK Wonder & Cipriana Quann(Urban bush babes on UA-cam)I think they’re 4b/c. Longest and thickest 4b/c hair I’ve ever seen.
I love seeing women with kinky curly Afro-textured hair grow their hair like this. Many of us can too but we we either lack the knowledge, lack the patience or both. Lol.

our hair was designed to thrive with 'natural' products (water, flaxseed, aloe, shea butter, oils, ACV, rice, etc.) and little manipulation...that's why man-made chemicals, daily "cute" hairstyles, and constant excessive heat ruin our hair....keep it simple and hair will break less and grow longer.

I do hot oil treatments twice a month and my hair is thriving! Thank you so much for being a light for our beautiful little girls and black women. They need to know that it is not necessary to try to conform to the pervasive European standard of beauty. Our beauty is magnificent and TRULY unique. Girl u just gave me my complete next video!! ill answer some now then ill post a Q&A video this week.
      1. I have been using each product for around 7 years.
2 i have been growing out my hair HEALTHY for 8 years in January
3 no relaxer no color ever
4 it takes too damn long lol i detangle my hair in these twist, never out. so i go one by one, detangle that twist then twist it back. it takes me about 8 hours if i did it straight through.
      5. YESSS i want to show black women that we CAN grow our hair long.
      6. im 5'4
      7. not sure sometimes i combined small ones to make them bigger, but i would say maybe 80
8.yes i have had setbacks, whenever i thought my hair was not growing i would cute at least 4 inches off... then regret it
      9. i do not use shampoo or conditioner AT ALL( ill do a video) no my hair does not stink and yes its clean
      10. i never trim and my ends are fine( ill add this in my video to explain why
      11. of course i do ill see one here and there but its never caused me to have a lot of breakage or interfered with my growth.

Beautiful hair and beautiful spirit! You are like a black unicorn defying all stereotypes and myths about black hair (22nd century natural woman here on YT included) and I love it! I can tell from the comments that just about all of us brown girls desire long natural hair but have for so long been denied bc we lack to understanding of HOW and WHAT to use/do (or not do lol) in order to help it to thrive to its fullest potential. Many of our women wear weaves/braids that look exactly like your hair. Shoot ur hair looks like Senegalese twist 😊
Long natural hair in our community should be the RULE not the exception and we shouldn't think one has to "mixed" to obtain long beautiful hair. I use sooo many products to moisturize my tightly coily low porosity hair for moisture, yet I have never retained length past my shoulders. I am going to try your method, but I am nervous because my hair gets so dry. But you, Sis, have taught us the lies of the product makers! Heck, our ancient sisters didn't use all of this junk on their hair, and they had long hair! I'm going in, Sis, and I'm praying that I can at least train my hair to only need these 3 natural tools! Were gonna need you to drop the routine sis 😅😭🙏🙌😩😂 My hair only grows like a 1/4 an inch or less a month from what I can tell from my recently dyed hair from seeing my dark roots 😕. I try to eat as healthy as possible & recently started making smoothies with veggies & fruits & a dash of MSM & Bamboo powder (bamboo for its silica content) or if I ran out of smoothie supplies will makeba matcha latte with almond milk with msm & bamboo powder. My eyebrows, eyelashes & skin has benefited from this but my hair seems to grow about the same pace & the only change I'm really is a couple of new baby hairs randomly sprouting on my front hair line (and this change of the baby hairs has only started has I started using sublimed sulfer & minazoale nitrate 😢) which I ain't mad about but want length on the hairs I have on my head already... Lol.

@@TheGummybears101 Hi, no I don't trim at all. Since 2002, my hair have been trimmed once back in 2010. Then in August of 2010, I decided to return natural. I've never trimmed my hair since then. My hair has grown the longest and thickest it's ever been. I had a major set back a few years ago but I found out it was due to health issues. I'm pretty sure, when straightened, my hair should be back to the length in my thumbnail pic, if not longer! For your split ends i would suggest doing protein treatments, Henna or Cassia treatments, low manipulation, most importantly keep your hair especially your ends moisturized! Sorry for the long response. Hope i helped some.

I have to say, I’ve seen a LOT of natural hair bloggers but you are seriously the most AWESOME! I really mean that. I used to think wow bloggers don’t have hair breakage, maybe it’s just me. When I had excessive hair breakage I went to my dermatologist and found a new hair stylist. Both said the breakage was from overly dry hair and especially not getting my ends trimmed. After seeing both my breakage is at a minimum but I still have a little because the weather in my area is super cold and running heaters doesn’t help. I absolutely LOVE your simplicity. The crazy part is I have 2 of the 3 products you use. I’ll have to try making my own gel, but until then I’ll use some that I already bought. It’s not flaxseed but it is a gel and NOT Eco Styler, which I hate. I’ll be looking at all your hair videos, it will take me a while but it will sure be worth it. I'm out here trying, dying, and crying in attempt to grow my hair. Please post more videos and how to grow and retain length. I've never seen hair this long, I know I can do it.

So Beautiful!! Any aloe Vera alternatives for those who are allergic?? That would be greatly appreciated :)

discoveryourpower • Hey hun are you positive you're allergic? The yellow substance secreting from the aloe plant when cut is irritating to some people. If you wash the aloe of this, you may actually find that you can use it without irritation.

Add vegetable glycerin to water and spray with that. Aloe and glycerin are both natural humectants. Make sure you don't have a coconut allergy as many vegetable glycerin are derived from coconut. Just water works too. If you have thick strands that take a while to get wet, use warm water.

Shan W I'm sure... I even have irritation with bottled aloe juice and products that contain aloe

Wow! I just shaved off my hair after a year of growing it out and I’m regretting it after seeing this. I discovered aloe and castor oil combo and it made my hair so soft. I just didn’t want to deal with hair anymore. I plan to regrow it. I will definitely be keeping it simple this time around and trying out keeping it twisted and flax seed gel. Looking forward to more videos!

I’m going to use that flaxseed gel tip. I definitely haven’t heard of it, and my ends have problems with unraveling and tangling.
I don’t know if I can do thigh length hair 😫😫😫 I’ll just be stopping at my behind 😂👌🏾

aww im so happy to see youre back and doing well! congratulations on motherhood and I hope you do a life update video. I see so many changes within you that you don't even have to point out. I expected that whenever you came back that you would be chilling with perfectly formed locs down to your knee caps. I think thats where I left off with your videos when you were considering just locking your hair. I think we started our channels at the same times and fell off the face of youtube at the same time and now we are back at the same time lol. You probably don't remember me but again i am so happy you are doing well and happy and thriving!
