The Absolute, in Buddhism, is a perfect, self-sufficient eternal reality that depends upon nothing external to itself.
I admit to getting little from the Buddhist. His explanations were too complex,...even for him. One of the beautiful features of Islam is that God sent Prophets to keep everything simple for us. I fail to see why we as a species must complicate matters.
Abu'd-Darda' (ra) said, "Shall I tell you about something better for you than sadaqa and fasting? Improving the state of friendship. Hatred is what shaves things away." (Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 412, Book 22, Hadith 16)
And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, ‘This is what we were provided with before.’ And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally.” (Q. 2:25)
Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever glorifies Allah (says Subhan Allah ) thirty-three times immediately after each prayer, and praises Allah (says Al-hamdu Lillah) thirty-three times, and magnifies Allah (says Allahu akbar) thirty-three times, this makes ninety-nine, then to complete one hundred says La ilaha ill-Allah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shayin qadir (There is no god except Allah Alone, with no partner, His is the power and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things) his sins will be forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea.” (Reported by Muslim, 939).
It was narrated that Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (رضي الله عنه) said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘There are two qualities which no Muslim person attains but he will enter Paradise, and they are easy, but those who do them are few.’ The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘The five daily prayers: After each prayer one of you glorifies Allah (سبحان الله) ten times and praises Him (الحمد لله) ten times and magnifies Him (الله أكبر) ten times, which makes 150 on the tongue and 1500 in the balance.’ And I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) counting them on his hands. ‘And when one of you retires to his bed he says the tasbih (سبحان الله) thirty-three times and the tahmid (الحمد لله) thirty-three times and the takbir (الله أكبر) thirty-four times, that is 100 on the tongue and 1000 in the balance.’ The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “So which of you does 2500 bad deeds in a day and a night?” It was said: “O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), how can a person not persist in doing that?” He said: “The Shaitan comes to one of you when he is praying and says: ‘Remember such and such, remember such and such,” or he comes to him when he is in bed and makes him fall asleep.”
Virtues of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah: These ten days include Yawm Arafah (the Day of Arafah), on which Allah perfected His Religion. Fasting on this day will expiate for the sins of two years. These days also include Yawm An-Nahar (the Day of Sacrifice), the greatest day of the entire year and the greatest day of Hajj, which combines acts of worship in a way unlike any other day. These ten days include the days of sacrifice and of Hajj.
David, we also have spiritual practices in islam. Tazkiyah, purification of the heart, is something every Muslim is encouraged to do. We also have moderate meditative practices, where we recite the name of Allah SWT and short prayers. You will feel a superior sense of inner peace compared to Godless meditation. Try it. Barakah Blue may be someone you should look into. He is an American convert to Islam and does a lot of teaching on this.
@@hamzanocap Personally, I will avert from what people prescribe as Tazkiya unless one is separating it from being part of the religion. As for Tazkiya, It comes from words which has appeared in the Quran itself in different forms such as وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ ۚ in verse (2:129). "Our Lord! Raise from among them a messenger who will recite to them Your revelations, teach them the Book and wisdom, and purify them. Indeed, You ˹alone˺ are the Almighty, All-Wise.” Reading Quran with intention of understanding it and not being arrogant to just follow ones whims in feeling like the new Interpreter innovator 5Head of the Quran is a good way to do Tazkiya. Also doing constant charity and Zakah (specially some of them being hidden from the public eyes) for the sake of Allah rather than the self is a good way to do Tazkiya (Zakah means literally to cleanse. For the money and I will argue that It will also work with the self if It is done correctly ).
Salat al-Jumu’ah: The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "The five daily prayers and from one Jumu’ah to the next is an expiation for whatever sins come in between them, so long as one does not commit a major sin." [Hadith: Muslim]

"it is they who hasten to do good deeds, and they are foremost in them." [Quran 23:61]. ▪The Muslim should start these days with sincere repentance to Allah, then he should do a lot of good deeds. ▪Repentance is obligatory at all times, and repentance at special times is also very important because in most cases people’s thoughts turn towards worship at these times, and they are keen to do good, which leads to them recognizing their sins and feeling regret for the past. ▪Let's hasten to make the most of these first ten days of Dhul Hijjah.
Virtues of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah: The Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) commanded us to recite a lot of Tasbeeh ("Subhan-Allaah"), Tahmeed ("Al-hamdu Lillaah") and Takbeer ("Allaahu akbar") during this time. Abdullaah ibn Umar (radi Allahu anhuma) reported that the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "There are no days greater in the sight of Allah and in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Him than these ten days, so during this time recite a great deal of Tahleel ("La ilaaha ill-Allaah"), Takbeer and Tahmeed." [Hadith: Ahmad]
Virtues of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah: The Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) encouraged people to do righteous deeds because of the virtue of this season for people throughout the world, and also because of the virtue of the place - for the pilgrims to the Sacred House of Allah.
7 :30 - Allah's name is Al Haqq. I also like many Da'ees emphasize there is one truth with a capital T that is objective, then there are small truths or personal truths with a lower t that falls under that, that which disagrees with that aren't personal truths but personal lies or errors...
I think it is better if you tell him about surah al isra : 7. If you act rightly, it is for your own good, but if you do wrong, it is to your own loss.
Virtues of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah: The Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) testified that these are the best days of this world. Ibn Abbaas (radi Allahu anhuma) reported that the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days." The people asked, "Not even jihaad for the sake of Allah?" He said, "Not even jihaad for the sake of Allah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing." [Hadith: Al-Bukhari].

Virtues of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah: Allah swears an oath by them, and swearing an oath by something is indicative of its importance and great benefit. Allah says (what means): "By the dawn; by the ten nights" [Quran 89:1-2]. Ibn Abbas, Ibn al-Zubayr, Mujahid and others of the earlier and later generations said that this refers to the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah.
Salat al-Jumu’ah: Allah Says (what means): "O you who believe (Muslims)! When the call is proclaimed for the Salaah (prayer) on Friday (Jumu‘ah prayer), come to the remembrance of Allah [Jumu‘ah religious talk (Khutbah) and Salaah (prayer)] and leave off business (and every other thing). That is better for you if you did but know!" [Quran 62:9]
Merits of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah.. ▪The ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are among the great seasons of worship which Allah has favoured over other days. ▪So, the Muslim should start these days with sincere repentance to Allah, then he should do a lot of righteous deeds in general. ▪Then he should pay attention to doing the following deeds: observing fasting, reciting tahmid, tahlil and takbir, offering Hajj, Umrah and Udhiyah.
*May The One True God, Only One worthy of worship, The Originator of Heavens and Earth and which is in between, The Creator of all what we know and what we don't know, The One Who sent Prophets and Messengers as a Mercy to teach people and take them out from the Darknesses of ignorance and straying to the Lights of Knowledge and Guidance.. may He guide us to His Straight Path and maintain us steadfast on it and show us the Truth as truth and grant us to follow it WHEREVER it is, and show us the Falsehood as falsehood and grant us to avoid it WHEREVER it is. Ameen*
"... So hasten towards all that is good ..." [Quran 2:148]. ▪The Muslim must understand the value of his life, increase his worship of Allah and persist in doing good deeds until the moment of death. ▪Therefore, we must take advantage of the opportunity of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah and do more good deeds.
Benefits of seasons of worship.. ▪"This season of worship brings many benefits, such as the opportunity to correct one’s faults and make up for any shortcomings or anything that one might have missed. Every one of these special occasions involves some kind of worship through which the slaves may draw closer to Allah, and some kind of blessing through which Allah bestows His favour and mercy upon whomsoever He will. The happy person is the one who makes the most of these special months, days and hours and draws nearer to his Lord during these times through acts of worship; he will most likely be touched by the blessing of Allah and will feel the joy of knowing that he is safe from the flames of Hell." [Ibn Rajab, al-Lataif]. ▪May Allah Almighty grant us success in seizing this opportunity, and help us to do many good deeds in the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah.
If you say you love someone, you have to act on it. just saying i love you doesn’t go all the way, act of love is needed.. same can be said for your question. on top of that, its a command.
David Voor, Allah’s messengers brought the truth. It was people after them who are responsible for corrupting scripture. Qur’an is the only holy book that could not get corrupted.
Brother Muhammad, you should say that the people wrote down words and then attributed to God instead of saying they corrupted the word of God. It's more accurate, right?

May Allah guide him to Islam
I admit to getting little from the Buddhist. His explanations were too complex,...even for him. One of the beautiful features of Islam is that God sent Prophets to keep everything simple for us. I fail to see why we as a species must complicate matters.
Abu'd-Darda' (ra) said, "Shall I tell you about something better for you than sadaqa and fasting? Improving the state of friendship. Hatred is what shaves things away."

It was narrated that Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (رضي الله عنه) said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
‘There are two qualities which no Muslim person attains but he will enter Paradise, and they are easy, but those who do them are few.’
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘The five daily prayers: After each prayer one of you glorifies Allah (سبحان الله) ten times and praises Him (الحمد لله) ten times and magnifies Him (الله أكبر) ten times, which makes 150 on the tongue and 1500 in the balance.’ And I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) counting them on his hands.
‘And when one of you retires to his bed he says the tasbih (سبحان الله) thirty-three times and the tahmid (الحمد لله) thirty-three times and the takbir (الله أكبر) thirty-four times, that is 100 on the tongue and 1000 in the balance.’
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “So which of you does 2500 bad deeds in a day and a night?”
It was said: “O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), how can a person not persist in doing that?”
He said: “The Shaitan comes to one of you when he is praying and says: ‘Remember such and such, remember such and such,” or he comes to him when he is in bed and makes him fall asleep.”

Alhamdulilah for Islam
Indeed, You ˹alone˺ are the Almighty, All-Wise.”
Reading Quran with intention of understanding it and not being arrogant to just follow ones whims in feeling like the new Interpreter innovator 5Head of the Quran is a good way to do Tazkiya.
It's Conscience brother. ❤
It is the conscience that makes one feel good or devastated by one's actions. Since you are a perfect dayee, I want to rather get the perfect word and perfect pronunciation from you when you are clarifying things.

RIGHTLY SAID
Virtues of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah: The Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) encouraged people to do righteous deeds because of the virtue of this season for people throughout the world, and also because of the virtue of the place - for the pilgrims to the Sacred House of Allah.
7 :30 - Allah's name is Al Haqq. I also like many Da'ees emphasize there is one truth with a capital T that is objective, then there are small truths or personal truths with a lower t that falls under that, that which disagrees with that aren't personal truths but personal lies or errors...
"There are 2 worlds, you are in this world but you are also not in this world" 😅

I only saw Muhammad Ali got agitated once.. when he talks with an ex-muslim.

I have a question, coming from a Muslim here. Why does Allah require us to pray, like how does it benefit HUMANS to pray to Allah?
If you say you love someone, you have to act on it. just saying i love you doesn’t go all the way, act of love is needed.. same can be said for your question. on top of that, its a command.
Salam, when and where do u have these calls

David Voor,
Allah’s messengers brought the truth. It was people after them who are responsible for corrupting scripture. Qur’an is the only holy book that could not get corrupted.
If “karma” comes, it happens or it won’t happen, who cares 🤷♂️🤷♂️

On UA-cam brother, every sunday insha Allah, but keep the notifications on as brother Hoba said because sometimes he streams Saturdays aswell
Brother Muhammad, you should say that the people wrote down words and then attributed to God instead of saying they corrupted the word of God.
It's more accurate, right?
