I bought one a couple of years ago. It’s a solid radio. I like the fact that it uses AA batteries. It works as well as the pl 990, I have that radio too.
I’m a long-time U.S. subscriber to your channel. Thank you for your excellent reviews on radios and flashlights. Based on your reviews I’m thinking of purchasing the Tecsun PL-880 soon. I’m primarily an AM listener. What is the best AM radio, price doesn’t matter? Thank you.
Hej Todderbert thanks for your band scans with the Tecsun PL680. I have the Tecsun PL-660 an older radio but still a very nice one i also have the Tecsun PL-990X i love that radio. And I also have the lovely Tecsun H-501X and, I have several other Tecsun radios so yes, I love Tecsun radios. And you mentioned Anon-co in your video I have bought many Tecsun radio devices from Anon-co, and Anna, who works there, is very nice, and they have very good customer service. But it's been a while since I bought a Tecsun radio. Tecsun hasn't released a new radio in a while, but if they do, I'll be immediately interested in buying it. Take care Todderbert and have a nice night ( early morning in Sweden ).
Hey Todderbert! I did spot an Eton Grundig FR200 in nearly perfect condition inside an antique store in El Paso in Illinois. Should not be far away from the enterance. If you are interested, I think it is $25-30, but I don't know if it is still here since we visited there a few days ago.
I use WKZO on your tests as a comparison because I am just outside the edge of WKZO's omni-directional daytime antenna coverage. I am west of Lansing. At night, WKZO aims their antenna towards Grand Rapids, so that is an extremely good test for my rig. I am approx. 85 miles from WKZO; you are a little over 100. 590 AM is a good test because there is less bleed over from other stations in that section of the AM band.

I still love this radio.

It is one Tecsun receiver with very good reviews. Maybe in the future I would be a happy owner
On the secondary market you may find a good deal.
I am not sure how much you guys spent on this model but recently placed an order for one and waiting for delivery 😂

that is the going rate on ebay for those. I own the Eton FR-200, and it is a decent MW receiver.
Alright, I'll look at your video. There is also Stewart ST824AA, I don't know if it is on ebay, but it's my radio suggestion.
I would love to pick up a PL-680 one day!
Nice looking radio: however, it failed the WKZO, 590 AM test. Most of your other demos manage to receive WKZO during daylight hours.
Conditions have been rough lately.

good radio but seriously overlooked with external antenna 8 meter wire
I still love this radio.
