Thanks Todderbert for good memories of browsing the old style “Walgreens” and there generous selection of these GE radios, even the famed “Super-radio” which I would see on sale for under $25. Note to self kick butt for not buying one then…😢! 73! Have a great day and say hi to “Big Lou”…😂!
Hej Todderbert, thanks for the AM band scans with the nice retro GE 7-2929A. Even if you can't receive the bands, I still think it's cool to have TV bands on this radio. Take care Todderbert, have a nice Monday and a lovely week.
It passed the WKZO 590 AM test. I have to try to capture WNZO 750 AM from Portage, Indiana. I should have a good chance if WJR 760 AM does not bleed over on it. WNZO, 15,000 watts, daylight only. I think that I have a chance.
I sure do miss listening to the TV audio band on radios. If I invented a portable multiband radio, C. Crane, Raddy , Retekess, Prunus, eat your heart out. I would have a portable AM FM AIR WX Shortwave SSB CB UHF VHF DTV band radio. Cool idea huh? All the entertainment you need in one portable box.

Big Lou...hes on Number 2! makes me laugh.
A little wider just am FM was my first radio. It's before 81.
oh, cool. first radio memories are fun. I have one, but it is hard to track one down. A simple, cheap AM radio with an earpiece, no speaker.

When I was in retail back in the 70s, the GE radios were our top seller in portables!
Awesome, a blast from the past for you :)

🤩 it has that 4:3-like dial format, that makes it gorgeous with some dose of nostaligia 😊
