Contrary to popular belief, the Browns haven't had the first pick since 1999, even then, that was only because they were an expansion team. They have sucked, but never sucked enough to get the first pick

Its annoying how many people are complaining that they didn't say Tom Brady, does it really matter? I think everyone knows he was a late round pick.
He was second to last in the 1999 pick. The greatest Quarterback and arguably player of all time was selected last by a room full of "experts". The point is that the people who draft players haven't got a clue what they're doing...
As someone who’s recently started to get into the NFL, this helped.
This is very nicely well done! Short and explained well. I am one of the majority that never ever know or even watched NFL sports in my life not until the skits and some NFL rules explained that I wanted to know more little by little.
So basically teams draft players. Never would have guessed.
+xMurkNx well american football is getting more popular all around the world and this is the only sports league i have ever heared from that uses a system like this, usually team just approach players at any time and get them to sign the contract so i don't see why they shouldn't do this video to explain it to some new audience members ;) i mean they did it as simple as possible, quite nice!

I wonder if this method of worker placement would work in any other profession. Schools could draft teacher candidates, with failing schools (mostly in poor communities) getting the top picks.

I’m new to this so pls could you help me with this, so a team (say 10th) can get up the pecking order in picks if they get intouch with a team higher than them (say 5th) and sell a player already on their team to them to get their higher pick, so they swap positions in picks????

I like how they say 'any late round pick can go on to become the next Russell Wilson'. Who's the most famous late round pick.. Tom Brady. Just goes to show his legacy is already tarnish with all cheating accusations. Either that, or I'm just over analysing it.
The next russell wilson? Everybody knows the best success story of a late round pick is Tom Brady. Russel was mid round pick and also 4 rings>1.

How the draft works:
The Lions mostly pick medicore players or outright busts BUT every 15 years or so they draft an all-time great talent at his position, whose career they promptly waste and force into early retirment.

Guys there's still one thing I can't really figure out, maybe someone can explain...
So let's take the Browns for example. Their biggest need is a new QB, but let's just assume Goff, Lynch and Wentz are getting picked before the Browns have a shot.... what do they do then? Would they rather pick another QB who ain't that hyped or would they just pick another player who ain't a QB instead?

I think so
I'm not sure, but I know that if it does happen they're still allowed to make their pick, they just run the risk that another team will take the player they want.
