Looks like you needed to raise the seat post about 6 inches more - makes the pedalling far easier with the leg extension set right. I've had one now for a few weeks and they are a decent little bike. The only constraint for me is that on the flat, it gets up to speed very quickly and the 3 gears could do with being 6 gears. Be nice if GoCycle offered a wider range of gears option or even an after-market upgrade kit designed for existing bikes.
Thanks Chris. I think that I had the seat at maximum as the post has a line on it showing what's the minimum that's needed to be inserted into the frame. I may have been mistaken. Need to take another look
@@NevoEVReviewIreland Yeah, the post is in two parts with the top part being adjustable to increase the height to suit by using the Alan key usually stored in the holder under the seat. Unless you have one with the optional shorter seat post.
Fully enclosed chain(not just a cover) means less maintenance and longer lasting chain . Ideal for people like me who want to spend as little time as possible cleaning and maintaining an e-bike. I can also wear long trousers without getting oil on the trouser legs. Fully integrated wires and battery keeps everything protected from the elements and also makes the e-bike more aesthetically pleasing.
My g2 stopped working 5 years ago but too costly to service in my area will cost the price of a new electric bike after shipping so now just sits in the basement as an ornamental heavy standard bike 😂
I like this foldable, nice design overall. The price is high for it even though it premium but not full carbon frame for the price, but still a interesting light design?
The Frame is a Magnesium Alloy and read why it is used. Magnesium can be used to engineer bike frames that are lighter than aluminum while maintaining high tensile strength and damping capabilities. All of that leads to a much smoother, more efficient ride. Magnesium also comes in at a lower price point than popular lightweight materials like carbon fiber.
Excellent review! I've watched a number of other reviews of this bike and none comes close to the coverage of this one. When the G4i I just ordered arrives, I now feel like I will be well enough versed to plunge right in. Thank you!
Looks a great bike for around town. If congestion charges arrive in Ireland you will see these bikes gain popularity. Price is expensive but the quality is there. Should last for years. Another interesting video. Thanks. Des
Never mind the price feel the quality. yeah but I have to pay for the thing and once the one K is broken I can get a car for that money. Who do they see as the demographic for these 'toys'? Having said that I would love this. Just not practical at this price point.
But you're comparing the cost of one of the best ebikes new against a cheap second hand car. It's also designed for city living where fewer people want or need a car.
@@cabaretampere I'm comparing one means of transport with another. Most of these bikes will be an accessory to a car not a replacement. Or at least that's how it is now. If we can get the buy-in cost down then you will see a huge shift.
You’re not going to bring a cheap car onto the train with you though, or into your apartment without car parking. Plenty of people will pay a premium for this to make their commute easier, and plenty aren’t buying it to compliment a car. If you live in a city it’s a cheap alternative to a car for someone, no tax, servicing, insurance etc, and running costs are a fraction. If you want a cheaper foldable e-bike then get one of those, but there’s a reason premium brands in all areas exist because not everyone wants a cheap basic bit of kit and they’re willing to spend more on something that’s going to last them a long time. Halfords sell one for €1k. But you won’t get a Porsche if you pay Fiat prices 👍

I also agree on the gearing suggestion

Please offer a curbed handlebar upgrade for seniors that want more of a Comfort Bike experience.
Oh that would be a good idea!

@@NevoEVReviewIreland Thank you for replying to my comment. Can you do a review of the Gocycle G4I+?
I can ask if I can get one for sure

I like it. Nice simple and the premium on price for design and the foldability.

What is the brand name and model of the helmet that you're wearing?
