Tom Grosset became the fastest drummer in the world after setting a new Guinness World Record at Summer NAMM, 2013. The previous record was 1,203 single strokes set by Mike Mangini at Winter NAMM, 2005.
Since this time, Grosset has made appearances around the world, and collaborated with Google, SONY, The Discovery Channel, and The Science Museum of Virginia. He’s also been featured in several book publications including works by British journalist, Tony Barrell, and writer, pianist, and educator, Peter Pesic.

This is insane, you can see the focus on the way he is controlling his breathing too, I guess, just amazing!

Worlds fastest drummer is about nothing but how fast a drummer can go. That has nothing to do with beats or music
***** Yes, it's about how fast they can go, but it's also about technique and precision. I can type 100 plus words a minute, but it doesn't mean anything if the spelling or grammar is incorrect. Stick heights consistancy has everything to do with, not only this competition but the way a drummer plays "proper" music. One leads to the other.
Well this isn't about that. You're at the wrong video if that's what you're wanting to see. How ever it takes incredible fluidity, technique and consistency to be able to pull something like this off.

Dude I got about 1020 when I was in high school at Creative and Performing arts of Philadelphia. But now I’ve slowed down!! Various technique issues and all had me have to relearn my technique all over and since then idk if it’s good or bad but I can’t seem to increase since. But hats off to you my friend! Incredible!
