How to do a smooth snare drum press roll

I obviously need to practice more, BUT, why not take a look at the press roll, and how to do one, ya' know? That "tearing paper" press roll that brought status and adulation in school. "Dude, his rolls are like jelly, man..." Yeah, what every drummer wanted to hear. "Guy's a jerk, but his rolls are sooooo smooth." OK. Maybe I'm story telling, but if you have a good roll, people treat you better.

Nice demo. Everything stems from the Roll and most effective when executed properly. NOW, I MUST PRACTICE THE ROLL!

YOU COULD DO IT! Give it time and practice, and you will have a "tearing paper" closed roll. Your friends will say, "TomTom has the smoothest rolls..." Remember to overlap those strokes, and move toward the edge of the drum. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Something that can trigger or trick your speed on the drums.Double strokes press roll.Try to do it on the snare and tom2 and you'll be pleased by the sound and eventually sounds fast while doing your fills.I like to use this when it comes to fill in instead of using the single and paradiddles
