honestly the more you think about the context of the jumpscares and without the thrill playing the game, they become scarier imo. like i don't even think about the fact that they're killing me when i'm playing, nevermind how they do it. so i'd say the jumpscares here creeped me out more

I don’t know why, but I like to think that the peek-a-boo clown animation was just going to be for the opening of the Carnevil level. Would make enough sense. Also, if more had been added to the animation, it could’ve been similar to how Agatha had her own speed boost throughout her level(which is why we needed the power up in the first place). The clowns could’ve had their own version of primal fear that affects the player(similar to how Dread Duckies stun us). If this were what it were meant for(I know it wasn’t but still), I could see why it was taken out-

Fun fact: If you have unlocked the dd console then do viewmode unlit and you will see their full animation because when all of a sudden everything turns black that's actually a widget added to the viewport and once it takes you to the lifes counter when you get jumpscared that's a different map.
