Dogs are never bad, like children, they only become that way through the human adult's teaching. Of course animals have natural instincts, but no breed has violence as a natural trait. She seems like a dream. I wish all the best for Matilda. Like all dogs she is beautiful!
@robsnow I have to disagree. I do believe animals, as humans, are individuals and as individuals are endowed with their own personality traits. Good, bad, sweet, bitter, kind, cruel. To deny this reality is not doing good service to people or animals. We are far more complex than that. The world is not a sugar coated apple pie fantasy - children as a pack can be extremely cruel and pick on the weak or the outsider. Children need to be socialised and taught how to behave to function in society. The bull breeds can be wonderful dogs as Mathilda shows. The trouble with bull breeds is if instinct and prey drive take over they are immensely powerful and damaging. Far too many vulnerable have been torn up in that scenario, by dogs which have been beloved family pets. There are plenty of bull type dogs that have come from the hell of the fight ring and are good and gentle dogs, and there are dogs that have been beloved pets in family homes that have killed family members. It is just not true to say that humans are responsible for bad behaviour in dogs. There are just some, whether humans or animal, that are not wired right and if it goes wrong the instinctive prey drive of a bull dog is catastrophic. I write as a person that adopted two big rescues from Greece actually. It’s been my great privilege to have these beautiful dogs live with me and teach me so much.

Because of some "guys" training them to become vingt-sept. Because of the media giving them the worst reputation (yes because of their size they can destroy, even a human beeing, but other large dogs too), sharing people for an odd case here and there. Like they day "The dog is as crazy as his owner". You do not see gang-members with chihuahuas. No. A pitbull. It is way more impressive, spécial with their reputation. Poor, poor souls. When I was a kid, my dad always liked to get whichever kind of dog people were freaking out about at the moment. In the 60's, we had German shepherds. In the 70's, we had Dobermans. In the 80's, we had a pit bull. We never had a single problem with any of them; they were amazing dogs.

Don't even get me started on HOW Pit Bulls have become thought of as they are! It is disgusting HUMANS again! I once had the stereotype of pitbulls as being aggressive and killers In the past two years I have met and lived with a pitbull and have changed my mind that it is not the dogs fault that if they are aggressive it is the owner's fault human fault I can now see the beauty and magnificence of the breed Matilda did look like she would have come from that type of environment with the injuries to her body I am glad that it was from the disease not from abuse although being on the streets is abuse to me Although I cannot help every dog I have compassion for any breed of dog Matilda story is sad and beautiful at the same time 😉🙏✌💞🐕💞😺💞👍👌😊

Probably not. And she was lucky enough to be rescued by the person who helped her become even better. Unfortunately, the breed is not trusted in general. Few people have the knowledge, and Pit Bulls are often isolated regardless of their character.

Oh my, when you stopped and just let the video play of her with the "dog aggressive" dog, I laughed pretty hard because of the way she was playing. Ultimately Pit bulls were bred as a working dog and are one of the most loyal dogs. They are often much more sweet and gentle than those dogs that are branded, "family" dogs.
How Marvellous is Matilda! Just like Rottweilers, Cane Corsos and Staffie's. Please always blame the deed and never the breed. I've rescued many over the years and never had any problems with them, and will bring many more of them home as they're Terrific pets.... noble, loyal, intelligent, loving, sensitive and funny......the list goes on. Friend, I LOVE MATILDA, 'pitbulls' ie Staffordshire bull terrier cross, my favourite dogs ever plus English Bull Terriers. I don't have the commitment to give a dog a life with me due to my own circumstances, so all I can do is support you, applaud you for all you do, and YES, knock down the prejudice in respect of certain dog breeds. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier used to be known as 'The Nanny Dog' as the breed is so protective of children. Unfortunately, it is often the person on the other end of the leash who is the problem. They are so loving and love affection, THERE ARE NO BAD DOGS, JUST BAD OWNERS. I live in the USA and we have problems with stray animals also, it so sad . I have been a groomer for 30 years groomed and done their nails so far i have never even seen one of them give me the EYE they are as a breed the sweetest dogs I have ever met
As my namesake I love and adopt the bully breeds. My first that I lost to cancer broke the fear of dogs for my daughter when she was little. I have since fostered and adopted the guy in my pic. I adopted a Pitbull last year, well actually rescued her from a neglectful situation, her name is Ellie and she's very sweet and lives with me and Elvis my Chihuahua. All dogs are amazing, it's who's at the the other end of the leash that effects them!!

My BEST dog EVER was a rescued, female Pitt Bull💖‼️ With Training and love, love, love, she became the most well-behaved dog of my life😍‼️ She "left us" at 14, that was 12 years ago😢. I still miss her and weep every day‼️ Pitts are WONDERFUL, they just have to be treated like that AND NOT with a negative stereotype☺️🤗‼️
I am SO disappointed by all theese people judging pit bulls as violente, agressive dogs....They are strong, massively built but OH so misunderstood !! They are incredibly loving, playful and protective dogs.....I know many and I absolutely love each and every one of them.....Please don´t ever judge the dogs, judge their cruel owners who forces them into dog fighting or as being used as bait dogs..............their cruel owners are to blame for their bad reputation, NOT themselves !! I was once afraid of pit bulls, but since I saw the documentary about pitbull'shelter "Villalobos" in USA, I realised how this breed is really misunderstood. I saw the real personality of each one, dogs who have baby's heart, so loving, so protective to their ownwer and his family!!! Great breed!! ANIMALS ARE NOT BAD OR VICIUS, PEOPLE ARE!!!!
Pit bulls do have a unfortunate reputation as being aggressive to people and other animals. But I've witness the exact opposite when rescued bulls were placed in loving environments. They tend to be loyal, respectful and so smart, that training is a breeze. Some get so attached to their family that u think of them as family and they think they are human. They sleep when u sleep, eat when u dine, sing with u, swim with u. Such loyal companions, fearless and confident. But beware jealous traits they have them too. Their really a great dog. Thanks for ur video showing the true nature of a pitty with an untrue rep.
I have a half breed german shepherd. When he was 7 months old, a pitbull atack him very bad and we are lucky that he overcome his injured and healed. I was never blame the pit bull. All the mistakes are human errors. I do not believe in breeds, all dogs is beautiful. We must stop thinking that way. Thank you Valia for your video.
A pit bull is just a dog, like any other dog. Who wants to be loved and to share love. That is what dogs like to do, love. Love people, love other dogs, love other creatures. If you treat a dog in the right way, there will be no creature loving you more, trusting you more, following you where ever you go and whatever you do. Dogs are loyal even to people who hurt them. Sounds stupid, but they have a forgiving nature. I love my dogs and cannot imagine to live a life without them.
I'm ashamed to say my hubby Mike has a mental issue with pit bulls, for some reason I adore them so much more than the masses. They are snuggled buddies, the want love and give love in return, the kind of love you don't always see in other dogs. My sister is on her second pittie, he's Apollo, looks a tiny bit like Matilda thet cute ears and great smile. Valia thank you for this vid, I hope it opens the eyes, hearts, and most of all the, minds of others. They'll never regret a pittie, if the allow themselves to only see with their hearts. @Christine Robinette He's been around pitties. Sadly still dosen't trust them as a pet for us. I remind him all the time they're was a time when ppl didn't trust German Shepard's, and now they are a trusted family pet. Some people are just to set in their ways, he's an old man, to hard to fight with even though our two rescue dogs best dog friends are three pitties. Make no sense to me his issues he's just dumb sometimes.

Mike knows I volenteer my time at the shelter, yes I've gotten a bite or two over the past twenty years, but it never stops me from going back the next day. Don't get me wrong he loves dogs just won't let me adopt a pittie. I'm sure one day while he's away on work, I'll just bring one home and there's very little he can do at that point lol. Thanks and he will watch this, he adores Valia's view points. So maybe one day he'll change his mind.
beautiful and informative video, giving those who watch a better understanding that no matter the breed a dog is, it is "a dog" nothing more and nothing less. We have rescued/adopted 2 so called "Pit Bulls", 1 DNA tested to actually be 100% American Staffordshire Terrier, the other a mutt of varying degrees. I am Dobermann man, my wife is a "Pit girl", I will always have a Dobermann in my life, but I will say this that I love "Pit's" just as much and they are just as loyal, affectionate and trustworthy as any breed of dog, I love my pit's so much and can not think of life without them. Thank you so much for trying to break down these "stereotypes" and for showing Pit Bulls as they truly are, fun, loving, loyal and trustworthy dogs.
When I think of Pit bulls, I think of a big goofy pit bull who get behind me when I sat down on a couch. Then he would lick my head like a lollipop. He was also loved giving slobbery kisses. He was a Sweetheart.
Matilda is what the breed was bred for. They were once called the Nanny dog because they would take complete care of small children, keep them out of trouble and protect them from harm. Their jaws will lock and stupid people decided they would make a good fighting dog. And now they are most often owned by these kinds of people who starve them and beat them and either make them mean or kill them if they wind up cowering because of such cruel and harsh treatment. But the breed was bred to be the Nanny dog!

Οταν βρηκα ενα μισοπεθαμενο σκυλι πισω απο τα σκουπιδια, τοσο αρωστο γεματο πληγες, ουτε καταλαβα τι ρατσα ηταν, γιατι συνηθως παρατανε πολλα κυνιγοσκυλα στη γειτονια μου οταν τους ειναι αχριστα. Τελικα ο σκυλος ηταν ροτβαιλερ. Περασα τα καλυτερα 1,5 χρονια μαζι του μεχρι που μας αφησε. Δεν μπορεις να φανταστεις τι μας λεγανε. Οτι εχουμε σκυλι που τρωει τα παιδακια και αλλα χαζα. Ηταν τοσο γλυκας και χαδιαρης! Η αληθεια ειναι ομως οτι και εγω ειχα μια προκατλυψη πριν μπει ο μικρος στη ζωη μας. Σιγουρα μολις μπορεσω θα υοθετισω μια "παρεξηγημενη" ρατσα παλι, γιατι μονο αγαπη θελουν και τιποτα αλλο.

Ultimately Pit bulls were bred as a working dog and are one of the most loyal dogs. They are often much more sweet and gentle than those dogs that are branded, "family" dogs.
What a sweet happy end. She is a teacher now.
How Marvellous is Matilda! Just like Rottweilers, Cane Corsos and Staffie's. Please always blame the deed and never the breed. I've rescued many over the years and never had any problems with them, and will bring many more of them home as they're Terrific pets.... noble, loyal, intelligent, loving, sensitive and funny......the list goes on. I was thinking not so good, about Pitbulls either, in the past. But i learnd a lot about them. I don't have the commitment to give a dog a life with me due to my own circumstances, so all I can do is support you, applaud you for all you do, and YES, knock down the prejudice in respect of certain dog breeds.
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier used to be known as 'The Nanny Dog' as the breed is so protective of children.
Unfortunately, it is often the person on the other end of the leash who is the problem.

That was beautiful, u r right , pit bulls have a bad rep. When I started watching pit bulls & parolees on the Animal Planet that show completely changed my mind about pit bulls. They are so loving and love affection, THERE ARE NO BAD DOGS, JUST BAD OWNERS. I live in the USA and we have problems with stray animals also, it so sad . Thank u and all other rescues for what you do.
I have been a groomer for 30 years groomed and done their nails so far i have never even seen one of them give me the EYE they are as a breed the sweetest dogs I have ever met

As my namesake I love and adopt the bully breeds. My first that I lost to cancer broke the fear of dogs for my daughter when she was little. I have since fostered and adopted the guy in my pic. Love him dearly.

I adopted a Pitbull last year, well actually rescued her from a neglectful situation, her name is Ellie and she's very sweet and lives with me and Elvis my Chihuahua. All dogs are amazing, it's who's at the the other end of the leash that effects them!!

THEY ALL... EVERY ONE OF THEM... WILLINGLY showed their rescuers the love & sweetness in their gentle hearts. My BEST dog EVER was a rescued, female Pitt Bull💖‼️ With Training and love, love, love, she became the most well-behaved dog of my life😍‼️ She "left us" at 14, that was 12 years ago😢.
I still miss her and weep every day‼️ Pitts are WONDERFUL, they just have to be treated like that AND NOT with a negative stereotype☺️🤗‼️

I am SO disappointed by all theese people judging pit bulls as violente, agressive dogs....They are strong, massively built but OH so misunderstood !! They are incredibly loving, playful and protective dogs.....I know many and I absolutely love each and every one of them.....Please don´t ever judge the dogs, judge their cruel owners who forces them into dog fighting or as being used as bait dogs..............their cruel owners are to blame for their bad reputation, NOT themselves !! Matilda is absolutely Gorgeous !!

I was once afraid of pit bulls, but since I saw the documentary about pitbull'shelter "Villalobos" in USA, I realised how this breed is really misunderstood. I saw the real personality of each one, dogs who have baby's heart, so loving, so protective to their ownwer and his family!!! Great breed!! ANIMALS ARE NOT BAD OR VICIUS, PEOPLE ARE!!!!
Pit bulls do have a unfortunate reputation as being aggressive to people and other animals. But I've witness the exact opposite when rescued bulls were placed in loving environments. They tend to be loyal, respectful and so smart, that training is a breeze. Some get so attached to their family that u think of them as family and they think they are human. They sleep when u sleep, eat when u dine, sing with u, swim with u. Such loyal companions, fearless and confident. But beware jealous traits they have them too. Their really a great dog. Thanks for ur video showing the true nature of a pitty with an untrue rep.
I have a half breed german shepherd. When he was 7 months old, a pitbull atack him very bad and we are lucky that he overcome his injured and healed. I was never blame the pit bull. All the mistakes are human errors. I do not believe in breeds, all dogs is beautiful. We must stop thinking that way. Thank you Valia for your video.

A pit bull is just a dog, like any other dog. Who wants to be loved and to share love. That is what dogs like to do, love. Love people, love other dogs, love other creatures. If you treat a dog in the right way, there will be no creature loving you more, trusting you more, following you where ever you go and whatever you do. Dogs are loyal even to people who hurt them. Sounds stupid, but they have a forgiving nature. I love my dogs and cannot imagine to live a life without them.

I'm ashamed to say my hubby Mike has a mental issue with pit bulls, for some reason I adore them so much more than the masses. They are snuggled buddies, the want love and give love in return, the kind of love you don't always see in other dogs. My sister is on her second pittie, he's Apollo, looks a tiny bit like Matilda thet cute ears and great smile. Valia thank you for this vid, I hope it opens the eyes, hearts, and most of all the, minds of others. They'll never regret a pittie, if the allow themselves to only see with their hearts. @Christine Robinette He's been around pitties. Sadly still dosen't trust them as a pet for us. I remind him all the time they're was a time when ppl didn't trust German Shepard's, and now they are a trusted family pet. Some people are just to set in their ways, he's an old man, to hard to fight with even though our two rescue dogs best dog friends are three pitties. Make no sense to me his issues he's just dumb sometimes.

Mike knows I volenteer my time at the shelter, yes I've gotten a bite or two over the past twenty years, but it never stops me from going back the next day. Don't get me wrong he loves dogs just won't let me adopt a pittie. I'm sure one day while he's away on work, I'll just bring one home and there's very little he can do at that point lol. Thanks and he will watch this, he adores Valia's view points. So maybe one day he'll change his mind.

beautiful and informative video, giving those who watch a better understanding that no matter the breed a dog is, it is "a dog" nothing more and nothing less. We have rescued/adopted 2 so called "Pit Bulls", 1 DNA tested to actually be 100% American Staffordshire Terrier, the other a mutt of varying degrees. I am Dobermann man, my wife is a "Pit girl", I will always have a Dobermann in my life, but I will say this that I love "Pit's" just as much and they are just as loyal, affectionate and trustworthy as any breed of dog, I love my pit's so much and can not think of life without them. Thank you so much for trying to break down these "stereotypes" and for showing Pit Bulls as they truly are, fun, loving, loyal and trustworthy dogs.

When I think of Pit bulls, I think of a big goofy pit bull who get behind me when I sat down on a couch. Then he would lick my head like a lollipop. He was also loved giving slobbery kisses. He was a Sweetheart.
Matilda is what the breed was bred for. They were once called the Nanny dog because they would take complete care of small children, keep them out of trouble and protect them from harm. Their jaws will lock and stupid people decided they would make a good fighting dog. And now they are most often owned by these kinds of people who starve them and beat them and either make them mean or kill them if they wind up cowering because of such cruel and harsh treatment. But the breed was bred to be the Nanny dog!

Αχ Βαλια ποσο σωστα τα ειπες. Οταν βρηκα ενα μισοπεθαμενο σκυλι πισω απο τα σκουπιδια, τοσο αρωστο γεματο πληγες, ουτε καταλαβα τι ρατσα ηταν, γιατι συνηθως παρατανε πολλα κυνιγοσκυλα στη γειτονια μου οταν τους ειναι αχριστα. Τελικα ο σκυλος ηταν ροτβαιλερ. Περασα τα καλυτερα 1,5 χρονια μαζι του μεχρι που μας αφησε. Δεν μπορεις να φανταστεις τι μας λεγανε. Οτι εχουμε σκυλι που τρωει τα παιδακια και αλλα χαζα. Ηταν τοσο γλυκας και χαδιαρης! Η αληθεια ειναι ομως οτι και εγω ειχα μια προκατλυψη πριν μπει ο μικρος στη ζωη μας. Σιγουρα μολις μπορεσω θα υοθετισω μια "παρεξηγημενη" ρατσα παλι, γιατι μονο αγαπη θελουν και τιποτα αλλο.
