Hey, check this and tell the weak points because when we observe our acting is less benificial than another person watching the same thing because he can tell us what is going wrong
Great comp guys....watched the previous three but this is by far the best........great choices, i love it bcoz they bait me to watch these amazing movies. Awesome work......honestly cant wait for the next.
ua-cam.com/video/wcsBvX10h74/v-deo.html
You gotta include The Big Kahuna
The Mr. Robot's speech about god is also a good candidate for one of your videos.
Robin Williams again. My God. One can feel that this is not acting but it's his personality speaking. Miss you RW.
He has said that he could make others happy but not himself. If you do research into what his childhood was like you will see a glimpse. The scene of him as a boy in Jumanji beat up after school...that happened to young Robin. Being "funny" was his coping mechanism to attempt to get noticed by his mother.
Laughter heals, so it should be part of medicine and that role showed that part of him. I am glad I was able to meet him once. I didn't ask him for anything like an autograph or performance, but he began to perform anyway. I wish I would have told him it wasn't necessary, that he was GOOD ENOUGH just the way he was.
@@recoveringsoul755 Thank you for sharing this about Robin Willians, it’s very touching.
It's always gonna be Robin Williams😊 he was the best
The man was an amazing actor! Not too many others ever showed the true acting range that he had. Could take you from laughing hysterically to teary eyed sad a moment later then laughing again right after that. Then you throw in his darker roles like One Hour Photo, Insomnia, The Fisher King and August Rush that showed a completely different side of him that could scare the crap out of you. RIP Robin. We were blessed to have shared this planet with you!
From the first time I saw Robin Williams on TV I loved and admired him. His off the wall antics were so wacky they made me laugh until I cried. Whether it is his movies, television, or stand up he excelled at making people laugh. His humor was self-deprecating at times because he shared his demons with us. When he died a piece of me died with him. Oh how the angels in heaven are shaking their heads as he goes on at a hundred miles an hour making people laugh. That is what he was born to do.
Hacksaw Ridge...Andrew acted his heart out..he's one of the few actors to make me cry in different movies.
Robin Williams, I wish I met him. He's the type of person who'd definitely leave an impact in your life
I have never met him but he has had an impact on my life.
Desmond Doss was one hell of a man. The movie doesn't even touch everything he did. I wish they could have done it while he was still alive
I did have the privilege of meeting him and you’re right you never forget. Made a funny joke about my hometown that 45 years later when we say in the name of our town which is Joliet we say not quite the end of the world but you can see it from there because that’s what Robin told me the night he just walked over to our table and started to talk to us.
@@barbarawalsh2875 sigh we've lost quite the gems but I believe in the living continuing to do exactly that: live. Ik it's something he'd have said
My god.... Robin Williams and Al Pacino are simply sublime. This is beyond acting... this is becoming the characters yourself
are you an IA?
Hacksaw Ridge gets me everytime, Andrew Garfields portrayal of Desmond Doss is so good in this film
One of his great pieces of work 👍🏼
@@TheActorsAcademy Agreed, btw thanks for responding it's so great to see youtubers responding to their community, keep up the great work and have a nice day dude!
I'm not religious, but I think the message of that movie transcends religion. My favorite line "In a world so intent on tearing itself apart, I don't see what's wrong with wanting to put a little bit of it back together."
@@Joker_JAK I couldn't agree more. Just think about that message in today's society. It speaks volumes about the unorder that has engulfed the world.
Completely agree! Fantastic
I love these collections of monologues. My only suggestion is that you add the name of each film, so that we can watch the ones we missed.
I completely agree. That would be very helpful.
due credit where credit is due. this is practically plagerism
True!!
I love that idea I've been watching these videos and have wondered about the films that some scenes came from
Great idea. I'd love that, too.
'How many of you work two jobs just to afford to say I'm broke?'
Man I know a few
That ain't right!
All I do know is that everytime I got more money it was met with a more expenses. I don't know what the magic number is but check to check 2 jobs is not always a problem with quantity
I live that every damn day...
Man, seeing Robin Williams and Philip Seymour Hoffman in one scene got me. Two truly gifted actors that I miss.
I love Hoffman's speech in "Doubt" to describe the nature of gossip
@@ralphalvarez5465 that is an awesome movie and criminally under appreciated.
Addiction is fucked, though I know Willams had other mental anomalies
Almost any quote from Capote could have been the highlight for any of these series.
Hacksaw Ridge almost immediately became one of my most favorite movies at that scene. This movie was beautifully told and and beautifully executed. Andrew did a fantastic job with portraying Desmond.
When the Patch Adams section came on I didn’t want it to stop. God how I miss the acting talents of Mr Robin Williams 😞
That Michael Douglas speech from The American President just screams Sorkin… I love it!
I've always loved that Chris Rock speech. Didn't think anybody else noticed. He did a great job!
Robin Williams did not get enough credit for his role here, great movie and great acting. RIP
He was a man with great acting abilities
I liked him in good will hunting
What movie was that?
The one with robin willams and Matt Damon where Matt Damon plays a very intelligent young man, but doesn’t go to schooling and he’s a punk and he meets robin willams character who helps him get his life together, idk, I’ve only seen it twice
@@DB_Dowdy sorry I meant what movie was it that Robin Williams was in this video
Admiring great acting is fine but we should also admire the fantastic scripting. That's where the real genius is.
It's so true Gary. The actors may bring the script to life but they would be nothing without the script.
Robin Williams really was something special. RIP sir.
Denzel Washington "Malcolm X" Pure gold! Straight legend! The G.O.A.T
Its great work but he did have film of the real Malcolm X to work off, one of the truly electrifying speakers of the century.
@@kenoliver8913 That's the point. He did it to perfection. I have a few Malcolm X tee shirts and kids tell me they love Denzel. If that's what it took to get kids to know of a man who was so 100% one way who then looked at the world from a different view and had the courage to change his views then I'll take it.
I didn't know much about Malcolm X besides what you hear about in schools but once I saw this movie I knew that I wanted to watch it. I might not agree with everything Malcolm X says Denzel allowed me to hear everything he stands for and what he saw in America. Definitely interesting to think about and consider
my ancestor Dr. Samuel Douglas Adams was a surgeon on the battlefields of the Revolutionary War. How much courage does is take to serve wounded soldiers on the battlefield unarmed with anything but a scalpel and bandages? He served with this courage all his life, even into retirement, visiting the disabled veterans he had served during the worst days of their lives. I am so proud to be his descendant.
That is an amazing legacy!
Robin Williams has always been a thorn in my mind, his teachings never goes away.
I've seen all for parts of these Monologues...It struck me how many scenes Robin Williams and Al Pacino had...great actors.
Agreed. No coincidence!! Two if the GOATs!!
God I miss Robin Williams. How great a soul that you can miss that which you never met.
Wow, Patch Adam has both Robin Williams and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Both great actors of their generations, and both gone too soon. R.I.P. to both.
They both died of depression because?
@@jennletocas2010 Everyone has their own personal demon, so I don't judge.
Just asking
@@PomegranateStaindGrn thanks dear friend for info
I axed my niece the other day: "What's 4 + 4?" She said: "44". The guy yelling "IT IS!" from the audience cracks me up. To me he's the unsung hero of that scene.
I'm in stitches 🤣 That was the best part of this entire video, by far!
“Oh captain, my captain” goodbye. Gone from this world but not gone from the people who live in it still…❤️🔥
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
That damn Michael Douglas so handsome and so well acted like his father Kirk Douglas. Michael has never made it look fake. Just a damn good actor.
Without even thinking about it, during Robin Williams' monologue, I thought to myself, (this man is proof of) A Divine Spark, this guy's got it...
Morgan Freeman was in the first video with his speech about "rehabilitated" in Shawshank Redemption. To my mind there are at least two more speeches he gives in that film that should have made one of these lists. The speech about the bird whose feathers are too bright and the one about Hope at the end of the film. But that is just a personal opinion, because I think that Shawshank is one of the greatest films ever made, and 50 percent of that greatness is Freeman's narration.
An amazing movie and book the actors who were in the movie were amazing in the performances they delivered Morgan Freeman was the perfect choice for the role and thank god for Stephen King for delivering us an amazing story to be tod by these actors.
Watched all four of these videos waiting for Robert Shaw educating us on the sinking of the USS Indianapolis. Leaving dissatisfied.
@@bhanlon156
AK (sings) "Goodnight, you moonlight ladies....." Oh, my bad. That is/was James Taylor. Who should've played Quint instead. Would've been more musical/lyrical.
My favorite Freeman line from Shawshank is, “Time to get busy living, or get busy dieing.”
Stephen King doesn't get enough credit for this. It's his story.
Ooh, just thought about all the great monologues in The Breakfast Club when everyone's sitting on the floor. Especially the ones by Emilio Estevez and Anthony Michael Hall. They absolutely nailed what teenagers go through.
I really enjoyed watching these picks. Watch all 4 parts. Excellent. Thank you for the content🍻❤️
I think Spencer Tracy's final monologue in Guess Who's Coming To Dinner is remarkable.
Hands down
He should definitely have won BEST ACTOR for his last incredible role of a lifetime chock full of them. The GOAT 🐐🏆🥇🎖
I've always thought that "Accepted" was an underrated movie.
Same here. I showed it to my roommate a few months ago and he goes, “wait why was that actually a good movie?”
@@cornelwilson1369 It definitely doesn't get the credit it deserves.
Hacksaw ridge is such an underrated movie
Thanks for putting Accepted in there.
Sometimes the most moving movies, can be underrated. But hacksaw is a good movie for learning all sorts of acting skills.
These are great videos. Thank you 💛
Great acting monologues are nothing without a great writer
The Robert Shaw Speech in Jaws, the USS Indianapolis speech..written by John Milius.
I've watched all 4 of these videos now and am truly amazed at every offering. The talent and passion is just so incredible. And all of these monologues aren't even a drop in the bucket of the film industry. There are so many terrific performances out there that people have never seen and may never see. These videos are absolutely amazing and your work Sir is inspiring. Please keep up the great work in bringing such awe inspiring performances to the world.
Robin Williams was so very funny, but damn he does deliver a good dramatic monologue!
Having watched all 4 of these Greatest Monologues pieces I am still wondering why Robert Shaw's epic monologue about surviving in the ocean for 5 days after the sinking of the USS Indianapolis during the second act of Jaws was not included. Of every scene I've seen over 60 years of watching movies and projecting movies in my theater, not one has haunted me like his has. Not one has rendered me absolutely speechless and still, sending chills up my spine every time I see it. It's a mesmerizing piece of acting and deserves a place among the greatest monologues of all time.
Robin Williams just straight up leaves me in awe.
Thank you so much.
Chris Rock. Way more than a funny man. He brings contemporary issues to light
I have watched all of these and they are all great! But one should be added immediately to this collect of great monologues and that is the heart felt emotion's Sally Felds laid out in01989 Steel Magnolias. The funeral scene embodied not only pain from losing your child, but the sister hood that was shared during it.
The speech from Michael Douglas is Spot on with today's society and government
💯
Hacksaw Ridge kills me. Love that movie.
Man..... that Pacino in "The Merchant of Venice". You can feel the pain, then that revengeful tone as he stared that crowd down. To exact revenge "but harder" is a very frighting threat to hear from someone wronged.
So many great ones. I'm still waiting for Schindler's List "I Didn't Do Enough" speech though. I can't even watch that film without crying. Liam Neeson did such an incredible job in that role. Also waiting for the scene in Steel Magnolias at Shelby's funeral. That whole scene had 3 good monologues there. The first with Annelle then M'Lynne and then Clairee. Also, Robert Duvall's speech in Phenomenon when they're in the bar and Doc is defending George. Such a good one as well. 😎👍
It's in the first one, or second not quite sure. You need to check them all out. Just wonderful if you love movies.
I thought perhaps Kevin Costner's closing argument monologue from JFK might have been in one of these.
He did that in one continuous take and it's brilliant to behold.
One of the best!
What a great collection! Everyone should repost this on Twitter, Facebook, etc... This is REALLY GOOD! Thank you so much Actors Academy!
Powerful pieces here 👍🏼 Thanks for sharing across socials!
Thanks for putting all these together. I need to keep checking in.
Sooner or later, I know I'm going to see Robert Shaw's monologue on the USS Indianapolis.
Very nice collection of great monologues. Denzel takes it for me followed by Michael Douglas and Andrew Garfield.
Pacino killing it as per 👌🏻
Aaron Sorkin writes several of the best monologs. My favorite screen writer
The closest we have to a modern Shakespeare. That man can do dialog like no one else.
You can't deliver the package if the contents are rotten. Sure there's great acting in this series - but only because there's also great screenwriting. Conversely I doubt any of the actors here has not sometimes been made to look like an amateur through having to deliver bad lines.
No one writes better than Sorkin.
Please put in the names of the actor and movie
The description
Right? What movies are these?
Please!!
Robin Williams was a gift to the Human Race. A heart and soul only that of an Angel RIP You are missed
The best of the best. Great picks. Would love to have subtitles, though. 🙏
Hacksaw Ridge is underappreciated; Garfield's work was the best of this video. Spectacular
3 of my favorites are Rob Lowe's older brother admonishing him for quitting the hockey team in Youngblood, Gregory Peck's speech to shareholders imploring them not to sell in Other People's Money, and Danny DeVito's counter-speech trying to convince shareholders they should.
I wanna see Denzels “I’m drunk right now” scene from flight
Thank you for theses, I’d like to see more monologues by women.
“Judgement at Nuremberg” is brimming with excellent monologues
He was a doctor of humor....love ya Robin
He really was. Robin always made it his mission to make others laugh and feel good, when in reality he was struggling the whole team. He made it his life work to make others happy and he was depressed. He didn’t want anyone else to feel the way he did. The man was a god send
Amazing lessons
Very beautiful.
R.I.P Robin Williams
BRAVO BRAVO so beautiful !!
Patch Adams. Hands down one of the most underrated films going.
Wish me luck I got audition on the 3rd November 🙏🏿
How did it go bro?
Are ya winning son?
@@pinheadlarry2506 😂
It will be great if you add the name of the movie and the actors name
I love the symbolism, he stops trying to appeal to the Drs and turns his back on them and tells it to the people 🙂
What is the name of this movie please
@@abdulmalekrk3693 Patch Adams.
I love that Bartleby Gains speech from Accepted is in here. Love the speech, love the movie.
SH*THEADS FOREVER!!
I never saw the movie so I don't know which quotes were from that movie. I want to watch it now so I guess I will find out.
@@julieenslow5915 it's a really great movie..
@@stonehaven2289
Thank you! It's on a list for the winter time!
The American President monologue is my favorite monologue of all time. It's still relevant, it's strong, and it's just such amazing writing.
Some of my personal favorites - Nick Nolte at the end of Blue Chips; Gene Hackman talking about the battle of San Juan Hill in Bite the Bullet, both Peter Finch and William Holden in Network, and OF COURSE Robert Shaw in Jaws.
the jaws one is harrowing... those black beady eyes.
Speaking his peace ..love it
Waiting on Quint's monologue from Jaws, should have been on the first list.
Especially b/c he's telling a true story.
Watched all 4 of these and it seems to me that Al Pacino is represented quite often for good reason, but that Stallone monologue still resonates the most.
Has anyone seen Thora Hird's 30-minute monologue 'Waiting for the telegram' by Alan Bennett> She was 86 years old when it was recorded; truly wonderful acting.
If you ever decide to make another one I’d love to see the tears in the rain scene from Blade Runner
That first monologue...one of my favorites since the first time I saw it. The discussion of character, the Constitution, and election year fear-mongering...SPOT ON!!!
Where's the greatest of them all. Robert Shaw in Jaws. Absolutely spellbinding 😎👍
Should have been the first monologue to make the entire list
I’m surprised that nothing by Christopher Walken has made this. Nothing from True Romance, the watch monologue in Pulp Fiction, nothing from Catch Me If You Can, etc? It beats The Michael Douglas speech.
Ned Beatty’s monologue in Network is not only brilliant but incredibly relevant.
Yes! I've watched every part hoping to hear Julia Robert's monologue from Mona Lisa Smile! It's one of my favorite movies!!
Two of my favorite Monologues was the last Monologue Spencer Tracy ever did. It was at the end of Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. From the same movie Sidney Poitier talking to his father about how he sees himself.
There's 4 of these videos, more than an hour worth of footage, and not a single second of the "tears in rain" monologue from Rutger Hauer.
I was thinking exactly the same thing myself! That scene is worth more than all of these videos put together!
LOVE
Brilliant performances. What an amazing collection of monologues! Please add more women.
Brother, please make more videos on auditioning and casting process.
More please

Watched all of your 4 parts and believe me, I am really surprised to see you haven't included the acting of all acting monologues: Beatrice Straight's epic monologue in Network(1976). That 4 minutes monologue won oscar dude.
Can't take seriously a list about monologues that ignores Robert Shaw's USS Indianapolis tale in Jaws. In my estimation, it's the #1 monologue of all time, by the most criminally underrated actor of all time.
Almost like the video editor doesn’t have the same opinion as you 🤙🏼
I wanted Denzel Washington to win the Oscar for this role. He deserved it. I loved Mona Lisa, Malcolm X and The American President.
Tom Hanks Listening to Maia Callus as Denzel listens uncomfortably then realized he is ready to go on stand.
Justin long’s monologue in accepted is sooooo underrated. Hell he’s underrated too in general
@@earthbndmissfit truly one of the most underrated actors out there. LFDH, accepted, waiting, all those are amazing lol
I loved his performance in tusk. Although I hated that film he was truly exceptional In that
Starting with American President. Already a great video.
I could watch hundereds of these.
Robin.... gods we need people like him, stunning scene.
Al Pacino's Shylock - superb!
I loved Patch Adams. I remember hearing critics didn’t like this movie. I cried, another movie that made me want to change the world!!! Robin Williams, I love and miss you!!!
I forgot to text first but that doesn’t matter. You have helped me so much and I am now taking classes to be a actress and I soon get my agent. Thank you so so so much.
