Flooding, mudslides up Spanish Fork Canyon push hikers and campers out

Friday’s rain caused major mud slides in Utah County as Diamond Fork Road closed for hours, causing many people looking to camp and hike for the weekend to turn around.
A lot of plans were ruined once they got up to the Diamond Fork winter gate.
That’s where visitors learned miles of the road was covered in rock and mud, and it was going to be hours before it opened again.
