It's nice to actually see the other people doing what we do! Especially the end result I need motivation tight now because with inflation and the math of investing in definitely feeling like it wouldn't hurt to shirt another 100-200/month to investing lol so torn. But the benefits FOR US of lowering our monthly cost of living SOONER is the motive. Then we can possibly retire or move to a part-time small business and travel before were old

Inflation “worries” are short term and a lot of people are using this as an excuse or reasoning to drown themselves in debt. Paying off the mortgage goes beyond the math. I’ve never heard anyone who actually paid off their mortgage complain about it. This was a great interview

Our motivation was similar to yours. We paid it off so we could enjoy more life today with a lower cost of living.
I’m enjoying my 20-25 hour work week now. Wouldn’t have been possible without paying off our mortgage.

@@MarriageKidsandMoney exactly what keeps up going! We just don't make the type of money where it's that beneficial to wait it out to retirement age to reap the benefits. The mortgage is too high a percentage of our income I'd rather it just be gone! Glad you guys understand, I've made a similar comment on IG and got chewed out lol

Ah I really enjoyed this right up until they said they were getting another mortgage. If you thought paying it off the first time was important then why would you go back in

Getting into rental properties is tough with all cash. I hope this plan helps them to rinse and repeat their mortgage free plan… eventually they’ll be free and clear with 5 or 6 properties

I guess they like debt . Dave Ramsey would say if you don’t like being debt free take out another loan

They have plenty of time now to start putting money in stocks. Now they're not paying interest on a house.
