- I was born in Cincinnati. It's still a great town and has really changed over the last 50 years. I only lived there a short while but it's still an anchor of our family tree. The downtown area has a few new buildings, a few refurbished buildings, and a lot of old and historic buildings. It's really a pretty cool place to walk around. We'll see some hotels, restaurants, apartment buildings, fountain square, and a whole lot of office space.

I confess that Cincinnati is not a place I'd ever considered visiting, but this video makes me want to check it out. Thanks for the walk.
Yes, I think because it’s in the Midwest. It flies under the radar a bit, but it really is a fun area. Thanks for watching in commenting. - H.
Cincinnati has more of a southern Appalachian feel to it then Midwest. The farther north you go its more midwest corn fields ect
Cincinnati seems like a clean and friendly city.
I think it is. It has a few places that are a bit run down but mostly it’s clean and modern. -H
I've never been to Cincinnati or Ohio but
i had some relatives that lived in Deshler at
one time but this is really very beautiful here
in Cincinnati especially in the uptown area
here and seeing the great buildings and the
businesses such as stores and restaurants
another really great video Thank You.🤠👋

Glad you enjoyed it, Roger. It's a fun and beautiful city with lots to offer. Cheers. -H
Cincinnati is one of best looking city in US. Great architecture.
Hi Morgan. I agree. It's got a special place in my heart for sure. -H
great footage! big thumb up! thanks for sharing my friend!
Thank you too -H
Henry! Another excellent walk! I was just on 12th Street to take my Mom to a doctor's appointment. It is definitely a city that can be intimidating for a country gal.
I had to break this walk up into a couple of sessions, but left off ("book marked" it) at Graeter's Ice Cream and knew I wouldn't forget where to pick back up. Great stuff!🍨
The beautiful covered walkway with vines was probably my favorite part. Can't remember the business where that was located.🤔
I'm looking forward to "Over the Rhine" video next!
Thanks so much for being such a pleasant co-explorer and kind voice that fills our home!
Until next time....blessings to you, Mel, and kids!
So glad you enjoyed that. The covered walkway was over by the Procter & Gamble building. Thanks so much for watching and keep on steppin -H.
its a nice clean city
It really is. It has a lot of interesting museums, sports teams, public events, and of course, history. Cheers. -H
Only been to the US once stayed in Chicago. 🐶🏴☀️🌲
Huge buildings, I’m only used to forest, farms and fields 😆
Enjoyed the walk
Hi Dawney, Thanks so much for watching. Lots of forests in Ohio between the fields and towns. Scotland is pretty fantastic though. Can't wait to make it back someday. -H
I think the old and new buildings blend well in this city which can't be said for many unfortunately. Another enjoyable walk again Henry and always enjoy your insights. Thank you
Many thanks! I've got personal ties to this one so my view may be biased. Thanks again. -H
Wow, I was really touched and excited when saw your vlog. I love this city and wish to spend the rest of my life living in here!
That’s great to hear. So glad you liked it. -H
Cincinnati is very pretty! I'm back on the treadmill after my ankle surgery in July. I had 6 pins and a plate removed, and walking is much easier now! Thank you for taking me different places on your videos!
Hi Barbara, glad you are doing better. Also, glad these videos have been helpful. Hearing that sort of thing makes my day. All the best, and keep on steppin’ -H
lol you walked right by Dixie Terminal without even mentioning it. I worked in that building for years. It was the old streetcar terminal and the inside is a beautifully decorated 3 story arcade made of marble with a huge ornamental ceiling. That's what I love about Cincy is so many of the old buildings are well preserved.
Oh no, I wish I'd known. Sounds awesome and yes, I agree about all the old preserved buildings. I'd love to find the Dixie Terminal next time. Can you post a time stamp? -H
Here bc I’m doing research for when I come to Cincinnati to watch the bengals play next season😂 super informative video thank you so much! I love the little fun facts you share, it’s definitely helpful! And I’ve always wondered why Cincinnati always looks deserted haha
Hi Kae, I hope you have a wonderful visit next season. I definitely recommend getting some Skyline chile and some Graeters ice cream. Cheers. -H
@@CityWalksthank you for sharing your recommendations! Can’t wait to try em out😊
ps - That first walk - The Building to the right they have torn down!
Oh, no, already? Wow. Thanks for the update. What was the timestamp for that? Thanks. -H
The Roebling Suspension Bridge goes to Covington, KY.
Thanks so much. -H
Hello! Just saw you comment on the go pro 10 video from years ago. What camera are you using? Thanks!
HI Richard, For this I was using an iPhone 13pro with a DJI Osmo Mobile 5 gimbal and DJI Wireless Mic. Hope that helps. I also often use a DJI Pocket 2. -H
@@CityWalks I was actually thinking of getting the dji pocket 2. Thanks for your reply! :)
@@Richardm1981 You bet. It's a great camera especially with the wireless mic and handle. You might consider waiting a bit. The Pocket 3 is rumored to be on the horizon. -H
is there anything to do there? also what are the closest nice cities (even if they're in another state)?
There is so much to do there. Baseball, football, soccer, ice hockey depending on the season. Bike riding, museums, restaurants, music, plays, river tours, and so much more. Cincinnati is very nice itself. Lexington is an hour so south. Louisville is a bit further. Columbus is a ways north and Indianapolis is to the west. There are a ton of great smaller cities and towns as well. -H
Cincinnati vs Cleveland
I prefer neither 😂 but in all respects Cincinnati has a southern twang Cleveland is a echo of new york so whichever you like best suits you...
Interesting take. I hadn't thought of it that way. Thanks for the response. -H
Looks like a smaller Pittsburgh PA.
Well same river but fewer bridges and hills. -H
Smaller? They are the same size
*-H your videos are "Jigi-fantastic" 😊👍👏🍻* ❤
Wow, thank you! New word too. :-)
-H
Are you going to go to 9 avenue in New York City?
No immediate plans but I'd love to go spend some time in NYC. -H
why is there nothing there? i need to go there for get something from a record shop. it looks like there are no shops.
Weekend morning.
living in nyc makes me look at every other downtown of a city as deserted. theres nobody on the street
That’s very true of most American Cities though this is also a weekend morning in the business district so even less people than usual. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cincy is actually a great city to visit. I’ll have to back and film during the week. -H
Is akron beautiful like this?
Strangely, I’ve never been to Akron. -H
No
It’s plenty videos of touring Akron and ride thrus here on UA-cam
Not even but it's easier to live in
The mnemonic for Cincinnati streets = Big Strong Men Will Very Rarely Eat Pork Chops…Broadway, Sycamore, Main, Walnut, Vine, Race, Elm, Plum, Central
Yes, that sounds familiar. Thanks so much.
I dream to come there in U.S.A to find a job and dream become u.s citizen 🙏
It's very expensive to travel
Yes, it is expensive. Best of luck though. -H
The US isn't what is all cracked up to be. Choose your city wisely and do alot of research.
Beautiful town but looks completely dead, like most American cities.
It was a weekend morning, so not many people down in the business district. But you have a good point about how most Americans drive everywhere and the cities seem less busy sometimes.-H
