Now, this is fucking Gold Mine. A well laid out business strategy, that will just make sense to any investor. If I were an investor, I would definitely invest in an artist who can give me numbers and P/L statements. Thank you so much for sharing this.
I agree about the product being great for people to care, with the acception of big name artists who can get spins just for being big record label artists. just because they have clout.
The fees from forming LLC’s, insurance, acquiring a business location, phone number and keep depositing into a business bank account is stressful when you are unable to focus on music full time
@@MusicMoneyMakeover it is when you’re paying with personal funds to keep things active all those things come with monthly expenses pub & royalties pop up when they feel like it with limited data to support earnings I’m trying to open a recording studio cuz I can’t qualify for anything with bad personal credit and not making at least 3k a month business revenue
No offense, but this is the music business, and you gotta hustle. If you keep making excuses for why you can't, then you won't... Dude just laid out the whole game for you, and half the stuff you're complaining about is not even necessary for you to get started. So, be encouraged, and find a way to get it done. ✌🏾

got to be honest, i am a little confused. i bought the course astartnd set up everything. My confusion comes with starting the llcs. In addition to starting the record label llc, do i need to start a separate LLC for merch, then one for touring, and how?
Believe it or not, if said artist would take a course in bookkeeping, the knowledge you get will help cover so many areas of "business" that transcends all types of businesses including music/entertainment. The bookkeeping processes are basically the same. The majority of music artists have no idea about how bookkeeping (accounting) works. Bookkeeping (accounting) is about profit, losses & keeping track of both throughout the life of any business you may have. Concerning getting investors or lines of credit: Investors and creditors just want to know how much you've earned. Based on your earnings is what "lenders" & "investors" are willing to grant you. I'm speaking from experience, as I've studied bookkeeping & worked as a bookkeeper for a large corporation. I'm a professional musician as well involved in production, songwriting/composing & music publishing. A business credit card or personal credit card is so easy to get, it isn't even funny! Always keep your credit cards paid on time & see how fast your lines of credit will automatically be increased! "Invest in yourselves & stay indie until you become the big fish!"

GREAT INFO.
Glad it was helpful!
If your music gets put in a video game 🎮 or mobile app how much do you get paid and how often?
When its in the game and the game production company sent you a sync fee, it will be one time. Video games are much different than tv and film

Actaully its not that bad really. And its all part of the game.
