I love when scientist are obviously having a little to much fun with naming something, instead of just naming them..."[last name] gen/disease", it make it easier and fun to learn
Idk about favourite food combination but I definitely have weirdest. One that I liked at one point was plain pandan waffles drizzled with a bit of tabasco sauce, another combination was a ham sandwich with peanut butter
this video makes me wonder how many other genes and/or processes have been named after video game characters lol I think you are on to something with the corn flakes though, I remember I used to really like peanut butter toast with frosted flakes on it, and a glass of almond milk, I know that isn't too odd of a food combination but that is all that currently comes to mind. Thank you for another fun educational video Faye! (and thank you Sonic the hedgehog gene!)
Are you game for gene manipulation techniques content? Did heat shock on e.coli last year and was mighty fun. As for food, christmas pudding and margarine with a generous helping of ginger powder.
shh is kind of a naming anomaly but it's kinda cool they got away with it Well, I can't really add anything to the embryology part, it's really interesting but it's like the Krebs cycle, you instantly forget it the minute you don't use it X) All I know is that it's used as a prognosis marker in certain types of glioma and I think there's a specific inhibitor 🤔 Is melon and ham considered a weird combination ? I kinda like it ! Another mix I've tried is marshmallow marinated in hot sauce. It's awful, I don't recommend it ! xD Thanks for another fun video 👽
I've heard of melon and ham! I think it's like a fancy Italian thing...? I'd smash tbh. And ahh, seems like you're a neuroscience fan? I should do more brain videos! :D
@@fayedrosera Yeah, neurosciences are fascinating, at some point I was considering making it my career :D I'm looking forward to those videos (and the physics ones) 👽
Thanks, Sonic the Hedgehog. o7

That meal actually sounds so good?!
And hooray, thanks for watchin another vid :D
Never thought I'll see a video about this topic, thank you for this!

Whoa, do you have a CRISPR kit or something like that?
@@fayedrosera only a bi-orad pGlo kit in containment level 1 lab. CRISPR is too expensive in both materials and facility.
