Just watched your stairway do over, really enjoyed it, I’m 69 yrs old and retired, was retired but now that I’m watching you I’ve got projects all over my house, I learn a lot from you and your sweet wife, thanks for the inspiration, Grandma Betty, from Oklahoma
I’ve hired some guys that seem like Jason. Work hard and make it fun along the way! Love the humorous side of this channel too. Lastly, If I ever meet Ray I’d buy his lunch!
Love this story .... we can all relate to it ..... I used to do landscape construction for many years (retaining walls, interlocking stone, etc..) and when we were first starting out in business we couldn't afford any equipment like skid steers or anything - so we were hauling stone, gravel, etc.. all by wheelbarrow. Digging out hillsides with picks and shovels, etc... we hired many guys, and you can tell what a person is like after the first miserable day on a job what they will be like. I still have many life long friends that we hired on the spot when we got in a pinch.
@@Building_Jays_Way Jason you still work at Keller Williams? How in sams hill do you manage two jobs, a wife, kids and still have time to party and hangout with Ray 😂
Fantastic Jason. I have seen some of the Perkins Videos before subscribing to you's and then seen nearly all of you're video's before the Perkins video's, That's a mouth full. I have to say if the Perkins Brothers were here in the UK I would Love to work for them seem to be such great guys. Keep up the great work.
This was actually super interesting! I understand completely though. I’m a builder in Hillsborough NC and I want to come and work with y’all too! Love the videos.
Always a chuckle with your videos. I’ve been to Bryson City many times on my many visits to Tail of the Dragon. Matter of fact I have been to the kayak outfitter shop there at the end and the eatery next door. Love the area.
Super glad you guys are doing this, I've loved all the videos, keep them coming! The camera work (I think Erik's) made me a little dizzy this time, though.
@@Building_Jays_Way I think this is the first time a channel has ever responded to a comment I made, thanks! I guess I just don't post any comments ever. I love your take on the job site, keep it up. I love the PBB videos, but you two are the best part.
I loved this video and it really makes you realize how important it is to be persistent and/or to give people a shot great job you all really i appreciate you guys!!!
You guys are doing some good work over the mountain there. I know how it goes with a small tight company. I work for Bracken Mountain Builders here in Brevard.
already 9 months ago since I watched this ... waiting for a cement crew to show up here in MN and this popped up in the feed!!! 26.7k Subscribers today Wednesday, August 18, 2021
@@Building_Jays_Way In the last Perkins video you said you were 5' 6". So they can stack manure even higher is what you're saying. How come I never got a heart?
Giving him a chance in spite of being from Florida is one thing, but that he put his foot through the ceiling while walking around in slippers and bathrobe.... that's humanitarian recognition level stuff. (BTW, yes, it's America, which I get, but 3 part time jobs is called something seriously wrong with labour law and perversion of the idea of self & security -although it's my understanding retired Americans are entitled to fully funded health care). 1 more BTW, not riding coat-tails. You guys are developing the characters of a very excellent build channel; that's called value-add. The Perkins should get you guys bra-mounted GoPros.
Need to work on the sound levels; almost blew out my ears when it switched from dialog to music near 2/3 through it. Good story though. Came here from the farmhouse. You guys have a great dynamic!
Yes. I also sell Real Estate. I just sold Ray his 1st house!! Keep an eye out for some awesome videos coming as we do some DIY at the new house (RayJay style).
Cozy story! Sipping hot coffee and listening to you all is not really a good idea! I could carry boards and buy Ray a burger...would you guys hire a female? Seriously, I must ask Erik and Jamie if they would...equal opportunity and all of that.
In case there was any question... Jason is one of the hardest working dudes I’ve ever met
You can definitely say that, great guy overall. His kids probably love him.
You’ve never met me! ;)
You can tell he is a pretty good worker by his humor. People like him usually are the best workers. Play hard ...work hard!!!
That's not what I heard. 😅😭😂🤣
But not Ray?
Every once in a while a guy comes along who just needs a chance to show his work ethic. GET IT DONE
Agree!! Thanks for watching!
“Because he’s from Florida”😂
Red flags 1 through 3 right there.
This just keeps getting better and better! Damn, the best channel EVER!
Appreciate that!! We are just living our best life and working hard....OH and having a little fun along the way! thanks
If they run out of work they can always get in the comedy business
@@Building_Jays_Way if I see "best life" too many more times....I'm gonna barf. Joel osteen started that garbage.

Still my favorite channel :)
Already got 7 tabs opened 😂😂😂
I see u got a new name "Building Jay's Way". Good name.
That was one way of doing it!!!! Awesome crew and vibe. Wish I could work in such construction groups. Hard work but fun.
Basically most crews tend to be that way. The rubbish gets sorted pretty quickly. You just need to prove yourself and not be an asshole.
Keep up the good work guys... I know as a builder myself, it's hard to find good guys and especially ones with great relationships....
We agree!
You did not know this then but it was a good hire!
I think you don’t realize we are separate channels…
I just watched this, that's a cool story. RL
Now we have to hear rays story
You guys are doing some good work over the mountain there. I know how it goes with a small tight company. I work for Bracken Mountain Builders here in Brevard.
A true meet-cute story!😂
Ok let’s hear the story how ol ray got a job with you guys. His luck is like mine.... he always gets the short end of the stick!!

Yeah it’s pretty cool.
Awesome video really cool way of getting hired
Yes it was!
Jay the accident waiting to happen we all needed
Hey where's the link for the work pants you guys are always talking about?
It should be in one of our other videos. This one was pretty early on, before we got hooked up with Truewerk.
God damn I wish I worked with guys like you! Most guys seemmiserable up in snowy Canada working in construction
Guy’s, from across the pond, I’d like to buy you a beer. You’d crack me up all night.
We would love for you to buy us a beer!! HA HA. Thanks for watching!
Jason seems like a really likable person. I wouldn't mind hanging out this dude and I'm from a different continent
He totally is!
You should go on a mission trip to Haiti with him. Pretty awesome dude.

RAY JONES!! He is technologically advanced!! LOL
Ok, why is Jay working in a paint store???
My favorite thing about Jay, he's 5 foot 6. I didn't know they could stack manure that high!
