@tanmei8237 Well, if we're talking about the spanish, some were chill like Missa, but some DID care a lot even if they played tough or rough. Even roier and Jaiden who always panicked whenever Bobby fell from high places or almost died. He said he doesnt show it but he WAS affected when bobby died.
And the spanish aside, since i dont watch many of them besides roier, missa and mariana, pretty much EVERYONE in the english community took the eggs extremely seriously right off the bat, from the very beginning (EXCEPT Quackity lmao). Allow me to list just a FEW examples, from before the Brazilians came:
-Badboyhalo cried on stream when Dapper almost lost his first life during a dungeon during the first few weeks of the egg event.
-Philza was legit pissed irl when the nightmare happened and both Tallulah and Chayanne died, and said that he was *genuinely* angry until the federation reversed their deaths.
-Fit became frustrated af and paranoid over ramon after he fell on that first week.
-Wilbur was overly emotional with the way Tallulah was such a sweet egg since day 1 and teared up before having to leave
-charlie wrote a damn song about his egg daughter about wanting to get her back, and said on stream that despite the jokes about it, he was genuinely sad that that happened and that he'd do anything to get her back.
And all that happened before the brazilians even set foot on the island.

Like i said, Quackity is the only exception where if tilin gets down etc, he has the ''deadbeat father who doesnt care'' character. Thats why i said this video gives off the wrong impression. Everybody else cared just as much as right now, they were already paranoid af, except quackity, and forever seeing Quackity's perspective made him think that the egg event was taken lightly before the Brazilians, which is wrong.
A mere couple of weeks into the event itself, drama was already happening and the fears of parenthood/losing one's eggchild was already there.
Although i DO agree with you on the part where recently, i think with the larger viewerbase/fandom that the Brazilians brought, there are more immature people being toxic, where offending eggs is taken out of bounds. This was already happening before where people criticised charlie for Flippa's death, but we see it on a larger scale now. Which is a given, because with the number of viewers rising, the number of kids watching or immature ppl will also increase.
But my point is, it's wrong to say that the eggs were treated in a chill way before or that there was no paranoia before. It definitely existed before the Brazilians, where everyone was saying Quackity what have you done, or Quackity pay for therapy. The dramatic part was already there, whether the eggs were treated right or not was already a big deal.
@tanmei8237 I think it's because the players ended up creating genuine bonds with the people playing as eggs, rather than only being worried for eggs. Like, we don't know the eggs' real identities (the players behind them), but each egg has their own personality, and playing with them became fun for them (Badboyhalo talked about this too)
And it's like, if an egg dies, it implies never playing with that person again. Imagine if you made a friend on a server and if they die they can never play with you again. I think that's why everyone's so paranoid over protecting the eggs.
Philza also mentioned some sorta parental attachment/protectiveness instinct that everybody seems to feel for these small eggs, so guess there's that too lmaaooo.
Funny how humans' desire to protect works, even though they all know that it's not like these egg players would actually die. It'd just mean never playing with them again. Unless they turn up as capybaras or sum lmao.
But yes, while the paranoia over their safety makes sense, it makes NO sense for Fandoms to get pissed over offending eggs as though they were real children. They're like friends to the creators/players, and friends do banter with each other playfully. They're all grown ass mature people for fucks sake. But viewers watching can be immature af at times.
I feel like it's kind of because this was before the binary entity became a threat. They were able to be rough, because there wasn't anyone who was going to come by and finish them off when they were weak. At later dates, the island residents had to be constantly on guard and ready to fight, to protect the eggs' lives

True, and many people look up to the eggs and identify with them but end up forgetting that it's all a Roleplay, When Forever tried to intimidate Fool by hitting Leonarda so that he leave the castle (at the time cellbit was on his villain arc and had destroyed forever farm and threatened to take custody of all the parents) all the hate was an absurd.
I hope this intensity doesn't spoil quackity's villain arc, it's been so amazing to see a new threat emerge on the island and being an island dweller and not an entity with a powerful sword. I believe that for your villain arc you don't need to kill an egg to be good but if he does I won't be sad or angry about it

I don’t think it was the Brazilians’ fault at all! Yes at first the eggs were more of a joke and less serious, and they went into a lot more danger, but once some eggs died and the more time the players and the audience spent with the eggs, the more everyone got attached. When the Brazilians arrived, everyone told them to be careful with the egg, they already started with pretty big level of attachment because at that point the English and Spanish members had realized how much they care about the eggs and how fragile they are. Brazilians (and later French) didn’t get a chance to experience the light-hearted risky behavior because by the time they arrived everyone realized the risks were too much.
The issue with the eggs for me is 100% the audience’s fault for overreacting. Not Brazilian audience, but everyone. Some people get so upset and hateful if an egg is hurt, and other people are so annoyed by the haters that they just want the eggs to all die so they don’t have to deal with the haters anymore.
I’m not the first one to have this idea, but I think the ideal solution is to level up the eggs to 1 or even 0 mandatory quests per week, just like how last time they went from daily to 3/per week. There needs to be less pressure on the creators and admins to get the quests done. For example recently Chayanne wasn’t able to log in at all bc his admin has other responsibilities and he was busy, so Chayanne only barely survived because another admin logged in as him on the last day (when philza wasn’t even able to play). Same with Leo, where the admin and foolish both were unable to log on due to internet and traveling issues, and she only survived because cucurucho asked roier and cellbit to take care of her on the last day.
I think the eggs growing up again and being able to take care of themselves (bc tbh the eggs could probably do the quests without a parent present at this point) would be good. It would remove some insentive for the parents to log on, but I think removing the pressure is worth it, especially because the only time there’s ever been issue with eggs getting quests done is because of IRL issues.
I also think that giving them unlimited lived like the players would be a good idea. Maybe not in the same level up as removing quests, but perhaps in a few months they “hatch” and now that they’re eggs they’re no longer fragile and can respawn like a normal player.

The first death she had was them not showing up and then her final death was him misclicking her bed, then Slime’s rampage and Flipa was revived, then Mariana sweeping edged her in the pillager dungeon. For some reason they showed these clips in a weird order that did not make sense wh
