Usually on all my Seadoos there are two nuts in the positive start stud. Inner one secures the stud tightly to insulate the stud from the body within insulating inside washers. Then the other nut and washers are used to connect the postive cable using the previously installed nut as the backing stop for the cable. This was the outside nut can be tightened without worrying about twisting the assembly since the inner nut has properly secured the stud assuming it was tightened properly.
@@gp1200x Good morning ☕️ We appreciate you taking a moment to share your thoughts and past experiences. We hope your jet ski project is going well. What a difference a brand new starter makes, and since we installed an OEM starter…we expect it to last at least 8-10 years. We have some additional jet ski videos being released soon. 😁☕️🧰
Doing this right now following your video, you make it look easy 😂 Start runs a bit sometimes, I think this is the issue but not 100% sure yet Great video
@@DIYwithMichaelBorders welcome! Getting another back in will be another matter Probably not worth refurbishing this one? If I hook it up to power, it should spin pretty easy right? It spins sometimes I’ll check out your affiliate links too :)
@@mvaz4 Thanks for the reply, it should spin each time with no miss. Don’t forget about the starter relay inside electrical box. That can cause the same symptoms if it’s in its early stages of failure and acting sporadically. 👍
@@DIYwithMichaelBorders I mean the start sometimes turn when hooked directly to a power source outside of the seadoo - checked the other parts and the seem good Power is going to the starter when I push the button

This is probably the best tutorial video of this kind I have ever seen. Thank you! How similar is this to a yamaha waverunner
@@IDVDalot
That means the world to us, thank you. Once you gain easy access to Starter, you will find it to be very similar. 👍
