One of my ancestors in the late 1800s early 1900s Rua Kenana of Nee Zealand done the same but all animals from the surrounding forest come to him birds mammals reptiles it was documented by an English historian/author a lot of these skills have been lost and also healing people with our hands still exsist today by few people
