Unusual Carnation type Poppy Flowers in our Belfast Garden

We love poppies. They are so gloriously colourful and bright. This year we have our normal red poppy flowers, our orange California poppies and now a larger headed, carnation type, poppy flower. I'm not quite sure whether these have grown from the seed Chris sent us from east Yorkshire but they are a very welcome addition.

Hello Tom , lovely the poppies I haven't seen those pom pom poppies before very nice , I have some dark purple ones here they are very tall , I did try to grow the blue poppy but no luck with those . Thanks Tom a nice show of colour in your garden.

Wow Tom, they are looking great,and yes they are what i sent you, mine aren't out yet and I'm going to cane them up they do get very top heavy especially when the flower is full out and it gets full of rain water,also the blue/purple plant near the poppies is a cutting i sent the original plant is what my neighbour Jackie has and is a Hardy Geranium called Cranesbill,its all looking great.
