It's great that you've picked songs with 4 different lead vocalists which shows how versatile they were. Never Forget would be great to see a live version with the crowd doing the arm actions.

How did I miss this when it was first posted?!
Babe - one of my all-time favourite backing vocals EVER! It’s perfection! And if you ever what to understand the British psyche then check out what beat this gem of a song to Christmas number one back in 1993.
Do What U Like - oh laaaaaawd! My 12-year-old self couldn’t contain myself when the VHS with the full UNEDITED version of this video had the warning on it ‘please do not watch if offended by naked bums’. Suffice to say, you didn’t watch the unedited version! What more does anyone want than Lycra and chain-mail clad hotties rolling around semi-naked in jelly?! Yum!
Everything Changes - as a Robbie girl back in the day this was everything and more to me. He’s ridiculously beautiful in this🥰 They’d seen Kylie’s video for Give Me Just a Little More Time and wanted a similar video, and this is almost identical to it, shot-for-shot. It’s gorgeous❤️
Never Forget - when this was released it felt like a peak moment for them (albeit with Robbie leaving and not knowing ‘the split’ was just months away🥺). Even those who weren’t into TT or the 90s boy band phenomenon couldn’t ignore that this was just an epic tune! The video has always made me sooooo happy as it reminds me of those hedonistic days going to see them in concert in my early teens. Though that was then followed by the sadness of the split. I remember a couple of months before the reunion tour that this video was shown and just bawling because I couldn’t believe we were going to get to see them again❤️❤️❤️

Never Forget was like a mid-career analysis for the band. They had already achieved so much and I remember them from the very beginning as this goofy rabble of young gentlemen ! But as time moved forward they evolved and always seem to carry on and entertain. That is what they are more than anything else really - true entertainers with great vocals and songwriting.

I have subscribed after watching all your Take That reactions...these are fabulous! I love your commentary and it's great to see you enjoy not only their music, but their stunning visuals.
I have a couple of other music video recommendations: Hey Boy (underrated, super catchy disco track) and Shine (my favourite - it's also a plea for Robbie to overcome his demons and rejoin the group).
Shine is also spectacular live - The Circus tour version in particular. Ditto Relight My Fire.
However if it's thirst traps you are after 😉 - Give Good Feeling (the Take That and Party Live at Wembley '93 or Hometown, Manchester '94 performances) are full of them. The '93 version includes them showing off their "bedroom" moves...and the '94 version has them in tiny little shorts. I promise you won't be disappointed 😂

Subscribed off the back of this video, because anyone who loves Take That is alright by me! You’re a Thatter now, best group of fans in the world!
As a few others have said, Do What U Like was their very first record, back in 1991... they’d been around for a year doing occasional tv appearances, but really kicked up their live performances, and grew their fan base, by doing schools at lunchtimes, and gay clubs at night. As a 13 year old when the video was released, seeing them covered in jelly and getting their bums mopped was everything 😂😍 By 1993, they were the biggest band in the world... the only place they didn’t ‘make it’ was North America, and that was, by Howard’s admission, because they couldn’t be bothered!
I’m glad you mentioned their choreography; Jason & Howard did all the routines, both having met in the mid 80s when they were in rival breakdancing crews. They continued breakdancing on tour until Progress in 2011, both in their 40s; it’s worth watching the Kidz performance from that tour, where they’re rival pieces on a chess board, fighting it out through dance. Utterly brilliant. It was the last time Jason performed with them, leaving the band before their 2015 tour, III. It’s also worth checking out The Circus Live tour, for many, many reasons (best tour ever), but also to see Jason singing solo. He always doubted himself and his voice, as he was chosen as a dancer not a singer; he played guitar (self taught) for many years on tour but only started singing solo in Wooden Boat, from the Beautiful World album. He’s got a beautiful voice ❤️ And is my one true love lol
Never Forget is THE number one Thatter anthem; it’s impossible to hear the song and not do the arm movements, no matter where you are! There’s nothing quite like being in a stadium of 80,000 fans, singing your heart out and all doing the claps as one. I’ve tried to film it every single time I’ve been to a TT concert (and I’ve been to a LOT!), but my arms just won’t stay still long enough!
Their live shows are next level, proper full scale productions; there’s absolutely nothing like it. They also, as you’ve probably guessed, don’t take themselves too seriously! Best video for that is, again from The Circus Live, the clown medley... the trouser drop at the end is a nod to the 90s, when the medley songs were released; and the undies recreated a much loved poster from the time too! The ‘man in the bra’ is Howard, who famously is up for most things 😂 A few years ago, while drunk at a friends house, he posed naked with his willy tucked between his legs, just for the laugh... and one of his most famous tour costumes from the 90s are a pair of cheek-less chaps; fit!
Their back catalogue is huge, but for live vids, I’d recommend Apache 2006 (How to build a boy band) from the Ultimate tour; Could It Be Magic, Wooden Boat, and Rule the World from the Beautiful World tour; the intro, The Garden (still gives me the same goosebumps now as it did live on opening night ❤️), Patience, Greatest Day, Said It All, Shine, Relight My Fire, Up All Night, Hold Up a Light, Never Forget, Rule the World from The Circus Live (in fact, watch the whole tour... you won’t regret it!): The Flood, Kidz, Love Love from Progress; I Like It, Get Ready For It, Flaws, These Days from Take That Live (the III tour); and from the Wonderland and Odyssey tours, take your pick but definitely Giants and Cry. Worth watching Relight My Fire from every live, as they make it a bit different each time, Rule the World because it’s always lovely and there’s usually fireworks, and Never Forget. Because Never Forget. And A Million Love Songs, written by Gary when he was 15... the sax you loved in the Everything Changes vid is played by Mike Stevens, their musical director who’s played every tour with them, and is also featured in this.
One fun fact before I end my lengthy essay; the last song before they split in 1996 was How Deep Is Your Love, where they’re last ‘seen’ being pushed off a rocky cliff by a demented woman who’s kept them tied up in a shed (not representative of fans, honest!), while Patience, the song that brought them back ten years later, sees them walking over rocks and emerging at the top of a cliff...

May I suggest at least 2 songs for your part II?
    - Relight My Fire

And as for a live concert, I'd recommend to start with one from the 90s. I have a soft spot for the live in Berlin. Pure magic!

"Do what you like" was their first single and their first ever music video. They are so young. In their first attempt to get attention and gig, they started to perfom in gay clubs with this song and in these exact outfits. It is a no brainer, that got embraced well. But they quickly moved on, after the breakthrough with "Do what you like"

I think the best one is either the Ultimate Tour one when they came back together as a four piece, or The Beautiful World version for the cool special effects. Have you seen Kylie Minogue's video for Give Me Just a Little More Time? Might look a little familiar to Everything Changes. I think Kylie's version was first tho. I also liked you picked 4 diff songs with diff vocalists, and all originals they wrote themselves. Well Gary wrote all these. The rest of the guys got to write more after the comeback.

Babe was kept off the Xmas No1 by a novelty song Mr blobby. The do what you like video was at the very beginning when the record company were working out what to do with them before the guys took more charge of how they were seen.jason and Howard were the dancers and used to be on a late night show filmed in a club called hitman and her.the guys performed in a few clubs at the start before they got too famous so they could bond and work out who they wear as a group and build up a fan base.mark was also a good dancer.robbie was passable and Gary admits he can't dance so it's good he does most of the vocals.

I don’t envy the studio cleaners after the recording of the Do What U Like video! 😂 I think the director must have literally told them do what you like for the second half of the song when they’re splatting each other 😂 Looks like they had so much silly messy fun, but they must have stunk afterwards cos squirty cream would soon go like sour milk under the studio lights! 🤢 I think Howard tipped a pot of jam in Gary’s hair, you can see a purple patch in it near the end! 😂

@PancakeMarshmallowDude , Take That are one of only a few bands here in the UK that you can add MANIA to their name when it comes to their fan base . Just like BeatleMania the fans went crazy for TT , other UK bands that have this sort of massive fan base are Westlife , Spice Girls , Girls Aloud , Wham & Boyzone my favourite being Girls Aloud who hold a unique world record having all 21 of their UK hits reach the UK Top 20 with 20 of them in the Top 10 the other being at no.11 . 🎵 . But back to Take That Robbie Williams being the most successful when the band split and they all went solo , my favourite Robbie song is " Goin' Crazy " which he dueted with UK Rapper Dizzee Rascal , Robbie also did a duet with Kylie Minogue called " Kids " and he also dueted with Taylor Swift on stage . But if you want to see Robbie in his underwear then " Rock DJ " is the video for you lol . 🤣🤣🤣

Take That started in the UK by touring various gay clubs, wearing leather (and not much of that!) Saw them back in 1990 in a big club in the Gay Village in Manchester. Rumours abounded that several of the band were gay, although I only have knowledge that one was....

YES! Thank you! This was so much fun. Gosh. I love them. I love how you managed to pick such different songs too yet all of them early-ish songs before Robbie left.
They do change styles lot. Haha, yes they love being theatrical and yes, they do be very suggestive... *lol* I think that Do what you want is like their first single. I don't remember now but if not among the first some... *gasps* ... 30 years ago. :o
(Also, the outfits in the video, bare chested with a leather jacket and pants is for sure one of the suggestions for 1D in their Best song ever MV. It was all that I saw anyway.)
Ahh, they seem to just have fun. See, this is THE boyband for me and the start of my long time love for Robbie.

In the beginning, Take That, like Wham, were marketed mainly to the 'gay' London community as you could see.

Love you to do Could It Be Magic live from the early days, especially 1993 Smash Hits Pop WinnersParty - watched whilst mooning around the house about an ex - couldn’t remember his name by the end of the song! Also, Relight My Fire, Pray and Shine. Also consider two ‘pop’ songs: Deeper Shade of Blue by Steps, from Kylie’s early producers, and S Club 7, Don’t Stop Movin’, universally loved across UK.

You have a lot to work though - but make sure you hit up Patience pretty soon. I think its important to understand the two different eras of TT - 10 years apart between the original break up and the come back. Patience was the comeback song, and really sets the stage for the 2nd stage of them as a band. EDIT: Oh and if you want to check out live stuff - the version of this from the 2011 / Progress Tour was awesome - ua-cam.com/video/WxOJOKLvlz0/v-deo.html

Oh, I am so here for this. I was a bit too young to be a fan at the time, but became a Robbie Williams fan ( I say fan, but admit it's a bit of an understatement) and then went back and caught up on Take That. They were not your everyday boy band. It sounded like you're familiar with Robbie's solo work maybe?

Loved your reactions! You should listen to Never Forget live, this link is one of the last times (so far) they played it as a 5 piece band: ua-cam.com/video/rwjRgAI7NOA/v-deo.html
They always end their concerts with never forget, it’s an amazing song to finish with and definitely one of their best as everyone joins in.
Could I possibly suggest a couple of great songs that are well worthy of anyones reactions, Relight My Fire, Greatest Day and Shine.

9:01 "That was the gayest thing I've ever seen them do" LMAO Yup. They were very heavily marketed to gay men and young teen girls. Some of their videos definitely reflected that.

A great selection to showcase each voice in the group (not including Jason Orange, though he was a rather weak lead anyway even though he did his best.)
Babe features lead vocals from Mark Owen
Do What You Like (somewhat of a gay anthem which launched the band) features lead vocals from Gary Barlow. The songwriter of the band and arguably the strongest voice (certainly the one most featured on lead.)
Everything Changes features Robbie Williams on lead vocals (I wasn’t aware that his solo career was successful in the states, but you certainly seemed familiar with him)
Never Forget features Howard Donald on lead vocals.

They did the Barry Manilow version, it was sublime to witness in the flesh. (Yes another tour I’ve seen🤦🏻‍♀️🤣) you could hear a pin drop.

It’s funny how they were first set up in gay clubs to make a name then evolved into a what they are now most happily married to women and one of the still most selling boy bands with great range even with there solo albums.. there new stuff is on a whole other level to the older stuff.. the love concerts even the old ones on vhs they put so much effort into them and it pays off .. apparently there might be a 5 piece album and concert coming up in a year or 2 .. the flood when Robbie came back was epic.. so was Gary and robbies make up single shame was a pretty emotional song for the long time tt fans
