Come on...the odds of his wife not returning home within the specified time (1 hour) to save their marriage, after being confronted by her husband while on a date with another man are almost zero. Even if she didn't love her husband at all, she would have returned to avoid losing respect from her children and the possibility of an unfavorable divorce settlement. The only chance of her not returning on time would be if the husband were violent and the wife was afraid of being severely beaten or if she was so upset that she wrecked her car while speeding/driving frantically home.
She was the one hiding her affair! She is the one that lied and broke her husband's heart! She is 100 percent at fault and trying to make him doubt himself!
The whole premise of this story still doesn't wash. The bottom line is the wife dressed provocatively to go on a date with an old boyfriend/lover (whom she knew to be sleazy), under the guise of going out with "the girls"...all the time knowing (even reveling) in the ex boyfriend's desire for her. At a minimum, she was playing Russian Roulette. After all she had danced and kissed (on the lips) this ex boyfriend at an earlier party, once she had "too much to drink". What if she had too much to drink again? What if he put a date-rape drug in her drink? She should certainly have understood her husband's justifiable suspicion when she began behaving as she had before her earlier betrayal. At the end of the story, when the wife told him she was pregnant...his line should have been, "WHOSE THE FATHER???!
Seems like your marriage might survive. Everything about this story could easily be communication issues but it could also be the beginning of something nefarious. She danced inappropriately, kissed her first boyfriend on the lips while husband was in the bar, began a secret correspondence with him and agreed to a date after the ex made it plain what he wanted, then lied about dinner with girlfriends, while refusing to cancel for dinner with her husband then went ahead and met him making Barry an easy backup if her husband didn’t make dinner. After all that she got pissy with him and decided it would be a good idea to make him pay for spying on her bad behavior by making him relive the whole experience in the lead up to his birthday. How many stories on these sights show the same bad behavior before they cheat. First make sure the new baby is yours with a dna test after birth. Review all these behaviors and come to agreement on boundaries. No dances with other men unless hubby is near and approves. No kissing other men, do not go too lunch or dinner by yourself with other men. Track her location. Too many questionable decisions she needs monitoring at least for a year. Of course the boundaries include similar rules for hubby.
I enjoyed the story. When she agreed to meet her ex and lied to hubby that was a form of betrayal. Once that happened the relationship is permanent changed. I still wonder after her behavior if she had lies other times and meet of men.

Something similar happened to an acquaintance of mine many years ago. His wife played games similar to the way that Tracy did in this story. When he thought that she was leaving him, he unalived himself. She was devastated because she realized she had gone too far with her stupid games and did not reassure him when he needed it most.
What is wrong with just saying hey I heard part of your conversation with Barry and you kissed him and now he wants more and what the hell is going on and why are you going to dinner with Barry? What’s wrong with this being straightforward. Everyone of these stories the man doesn’t have enough courage to confront his wife, and then they want everybody to believe that these stories are actually realistic. The majority of men out there I’m not gonna sit around and just wait for something to happen without confronting the wife. Even as a woman I’m sitting here and thinking this is so damn stupid.

Okay, okay! This was a good story, not great but good, because Tracy's husband was really a jealous dude who suspected the worse. He always had a disgusting evil thought on everything she was doing. But I would say that she deserved someone better than him.
